Bass Amplifier
Welcome to Peavey®bass amplification!
Peavey bass guitar amplifiers are legendary for their state of the art features, class-leading power, superb tone, and unmatched
reliability. The Peavey Headliner is a 1000-watt bass amplifier head that puts an incredible range of features at players' fingertips.
The amp features a seven-band graphic EQ spaced at optimized frequencies, with each slider providing 15 dB of cut and boost,
to provide comprehensive tone shaping at precise frequency bands. Players can use the graphic EQ in conjunction with the
low and high shelving-type tone controls, or bypass the graphic EQ entirely. A built-in optical Compressor with level control
and bypass allows players to add the right amount of compression to the mix, while the Crunch feature adds a vintage tube
effect that distorts only the high frequencies, preserving the all-important fat low end. The amp also features Bright and Contour
switches, effects loop, master volume and headphone out. The Compressor and Crunch features are footswitch selectable. The
Headliner features a built-in XLR direct interface that players can use to route the signal to the house sound system or recording
device, and an active/passive pickup switch that compensates for hot inputs. Peavey's DDT™speaker protection circuitry senses
the onset of clipping and responds with slight compression that allows the amp to retain the tone, headroom and dynamics.

INPUT
1/4" Instrument Input. WARNING: Never plug the output of a power amplier into the input jacks. Damage
may occur to both units.
ACTIVE/PASSIVE PICKUP SWITCH
This switch is included so you can choose the appropriate setting for your instrument. The gain structure of
the amplier is modied to accommodate both active or passive pickup congurations.
PRE GAIN
This knob controls input level of the instrument.
BRIGHT SWITCH
This button provides a 10 dB boost to frequencies above 1kHz. To activate, press the switch to its “ON”
position.
CONTOUR
This button boosts highs and lows while simultaneously cutting mid tones, producing a "scooped" sound.
CRUNCH SWITCH
This button engages a crunch eect, simulating the classic overdriven tube amp sound. When using the
crunch feature, turning the tweeter o on your cabinet will result in a more authentic overdriven tone.
LOW
This knob provides a shelving tone control for low frequencies and provides cut/boost of +/-15 dB. The
center point is at. The center frequency is 50 Hz. The -3 dB shelf corner frequency is 100Hz.
EQ BYPASS
This button removes the graphic equalizer from the audio chain. When this switch is in the "Bypass"
position, the amp will respond as if the graphic equalizer is set at.
GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
These sliders provide precise tone control through the constant-Q, seven-band equalizer. Each band may be
boosted or cut 15 dB.
HIGH
This knob provides a shelving tone control for high frequencies and cut/boost of +/-15dB. The center point
is at and the frequency is 8 KHz. The -3dB; the shelf corner frequency is 5 KHz.
COMPRESSOR
Rotating this knob clockwise will increase the amount of compression in the signal chain.

BYPASS BUTTON
This button switches the compressor on and o.
VOLUME
This knob controls the overall volume of the amplier.
MUTE BUTTON
This button disrupts the output signal to the speakers, muting the amp.
HEADPHONE OUTPUT
1/4" headphone output for personal monitoring.
INDICATOR LED
This LED has three basic functions:
*Illuminates green when power is on.
*Flashes red/green when mute button is engaged
*Flashes red when DDT is engaged.
POWER SWITCH
To apply power to the unit, ip the switch to the“ON”position. The green LED will illuminate, indicating
that power is being supplied.
Caution: The Power switch in this unit does not break both sides of the primary mains.
Hazardous energy can be present inside the chassis even when the Power switch is in the
"OFF" position.
AC POWER INLET:
This is the receptacle for an IEC line cord, which provides AC power to the unit. Connect the line cord to
this connector to provide power to the unit.
Never break o the ground pin on any equipment. It is provided for your safety. If the outlet used does
not have a ground pin, a suitable grounding adapter should be used, and the third wire should be
grounded properly. To prevent the risk of shock or re hazard, always make sure that the amplier and
all associated equipment is properly grounded.

EXTERNAL SPEAKER OUTPUT
One 2-pin twist-lock powered speaker output, paralleled with 1/4" powered speaker output (20).
1/4" EXTERNAL SPEAKER OUTPUT
1/4" powered speaker output, paralleled with 2-pin twist-lock powered output (19).
FOOTSWITCH JACK
Plug your Headliner footswitch into this 1/4" jack. The footswitch controls the crunch eect and
the compressor on/o. NOTE: The crunch and compressor buttons MUST be engaged to operate
with the footswitch. The part number for the TNT/Headliner footswitch is 03008010.
EFFECTS LOOP
The Send Jack provides a preamp output that may be used to drive slave ampliers and external ef-
fects processors. The Return Jack provides a power amp input for the last eect in the chain. NOTE:
When using the unit as a slave power amplier, the Return Jack should be used as the input.
DIRECT INTERFACE (DI)
This built-in, balanced Direct Interface is used to send a buffered signal to an external mixer.
DI PRE/POST SWITCH
This button toggles the DI output from pre EQ to post EQ.
GROUND LIFT
This button is provided to prevent a ground loop that may result in "hum" noise. When depressed
(IN position), Ground Lift is engaged.

Bienvenue dans le monde de l’amplification basse Peavey® !
Les amplificateurs de basse Peavey sont bien connus pour leurs fonctions de pointe, leur puissance, leur superbe son, et
leur fiabilité sans égal. Le Peavey Headliner est un amplificateur basse de 600 watts qui apporte une palette complète de
fonctions. L'ampli intègre un EQ graphique à 7 bandes, calibré sur les fréquences optimales et chaque curseur fournit 15dB
d'accroissement et de réduction possibles, pour obtenir une définition du son parfaite à des bandes de fréquence précises.
On peut utiliser l’EQ graphique shelving, ou simplement le bypasser. Un compresseur optique est également présent avec
contrôle de niveau et bypass qui permet d’ajouter la quantité voulue de compression au mix, tandis que la fonction Crunch
ajoute un effet de tube vintage qui n’est appliqué sur la distorsion que sur les hautes fréquences, et qui préserve les basses.
L’ampli comporte également des boutons Bright et Contour, boucle d’effets, volume principal et une sortie casque. Les
fonctions Compressor et Crunch sont aussi actionnables par le pédalier. Le Headliner possède également une interface XLR
directe intégrée pour envoyer le signal à un système HI-FI ou à un enregistreur et un bouton actif / passif de configuration qui
permet des connexions à chaud. Le circuit de protection des haut-parleurs exclusif DDT™ de Peavey détecte les écrêtages en
effectuant une légère compression pour que l’ampli garde le son naturel, de la profondeur et de la dynamique.

INPUT
Entrée instrument 1/4". ATTENTION : ne jamais brancher la sortie d’un amplificateur de puissance à la prise
jack d'entrée. Les deux appareils pourraient être endommagés.
ACTIVE/PASSIVE PICKUP SWITCH
Cet interrupteur vous permet de choisir le réglage approprié à votre instrument. La structure de gain de
l’amplificateur est modifiée pour qu'elle puisse s'adapter aux configurations actives ou passives.
PRE GAIN
Ce bouton contrôle le niveau d'entrée de l’instrument.
BOUTON BRIGHT
Ce bouton augmente de 10 dB les fréquences supérieures à 1 kHz. Pour l’activer, positionner l’interrupteur
sur la position "ON".
CONTOUR
Ce bouton augmente les tons hauts et bas tout en réduisant simultanément les tons mediums, ce qui
produit un son plus “caverneux”.
BOUTON CRUNCH
Ce bouton engage un effet crunch, qui simule le son saturé d’un ampli à lampes classique. Lorsque la
fonction crunch est enclenchée, éteignez le haut-parleur aigu de votre boîtier pour obtenir un ton saturé
plus authentique.
LOW
Ce bouton fournit un contrôle shelving des basses fréquences ainsi qu’une suppression/augmentation de
+/-i5 dB. Le point central est plat. La fréquence centrale est de 50 Hz. La fréquence shelving de -3 dB est de
100Hz.
EQ BYPASS
Ce bouton supprime l’égaliseur graphique de la chaine audio. Quand le bouton est sur la position "Bypass",
l’ampli se comportera comme si l’égaliseur graphique est à plat.
GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
Ces curseurs permettent un contrôle précis du son grâce à l'égaliseur constant-Q à sept bandes. Chaque
bande peut être augmentée ou diminuée de 15dB.
HIGH
Ce bouton permet un contrôle shelving des hautes fréquences et une augmentation/diminution en +/- de
dB. Le point central est plat et la fréquence est de 8KHz. La fréquence shelving de -3dB est de 5 KHz.
COMPRESSOR
On augmente la compression dans la chaine de signal en tournant ce bouton dans le sens des aiguilles
d’une montre.

BOUTON COMPRESSOR ON/OFF
Ce bouton allume et éteint le compresseur.
VOLUME
Ce bouton contrôle le volume général de l’amplicateur.
DDT™(Distortion Detection Technique)
Ce bouton empêche l’écrêtage de l’amplicateur de puissance pouvant endommager les haut-parleurs.
Bien que cette fonction puisse être activée ou contournée par ce bouton, Peavey® recommande de
laisser la DDT allumée pour assurer un fonctionnement optimal du système.
SORTIE HEADPHONE
Sortie casque 1/4" pour le contrôle personnel
LAMPE D’INDICATION DDT
Lorsque la DDT est activée, la diode LED Protect/Clip s’allume par intermittence lorsque la DDT se
déclenche. Ceci est normal. Cependant, si la diode LED est constamment allumée, le niveau du gain doit
être réduit pour empêcher de possibles dégâts au matériel. Lorsque la DDT n’est pas enclenchée, la
diode LED devient un indicateur d’écrêtage.
BOUTON POWER
Pour mettre l’appareil sous tension, positionner le bouton sur la position "ON". La diode LED verte
s’allume, indiquant que le courant arrive bien.
Attention : L’interrupteur de cet appareil n’isole pas des deux cotés du secteur. Il peut y avoir
de l’électricité à l’intérieur du boitier même lorsque l’interrupteur est dans la position "OFF".
PRISE D’ALIMENTATION CA :
Ceci est la prise de branchement du câble CA, qui alimente l’appareil en électricité. Brancher le câble
à cette prise pour fournir l’alimentation à l’appareil. L’équipement peut être endommagé si la tension
utilisée n’est pas appropriée (voir la tension inscrite sur l’appareil).
Ne jamais casser la prise de terre sur aucun appareil. Elle est là pour votre sécurité. Si la che utilisée
ne possède pas de prise de terre, un adaptateur de terre correct doit être utilisé, et le troisième câble
doit être mis à la terre correctement. Pour empêcher les risques de chocs électriques et de feu, assurez-
vous toujours que l’amplicateur et les autres appareils auxquels il est associé sont correctement reliés
à la terre.

PRISE JACK PÉDALIER
Branchez votre pédalier Headliner dans cette prise jack 1/4". Le pédalier contrôle l’eet crunch et
la mise en route/l’arrêt du compresseur. NOTE : les boutons Crunch et compresseur DOIVENT être
enclenchés pour fonctionner avec le pédalier. Le numéro de pièce pour le pédalier TNT/Headliner
est 03008010.
EFFECTS LOOP
La prise Jack Send fournit une sortie préampli qui peut être utilisée pour faire fonctionner un
amplicateur esclave et un processeur d’eets externes. La prise Jack Return fournit une entrée
de puissance pour le dernier eet de la chaine. NOTE : Lorsque vous utilisez l’appareil en tant
qu’amplicateur de puissance esclave, la prise Jack Return doit être utilisée comme entrée.
INTERFACE DIRECT (Dl)
Cette interface d’équilibrage incorporée sert à envoyer un signal tampon non traité à une table de
mixage externe.
BOUTON Dl PRE/POST
Ce bouton fait basculer la sortie DI entre pré EQ et post EQ.
GROUND LIFT
Ce bouton sert à empêcher une boucle de terre qui peut provoquer un bruit de fond. Lorsqu’il est

ESPAÑOL

GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
Estas perillas ofrecen un control preciso de tonos a través del ecualizador de siete bandas de constante Q.
Cada banda puede potenciarse o cortarse a 15 dB.
HIGH
Esta perilla proporciona un control de tono de estantería para altas frecuencias y corte/potencia de +/-15
dB. El punto central es Hat y la frecuencia es 8 KHz. La frecuencia de transición ajustable de -3dB es de 5
KHz.
COMPRESSOR
Al rotar esta perilla en el sentido de las agujas del reloj se incrementa la cantidad de compresión de la
cadena de señal.

VOLUME
Esta perilla controla el volumen general del amplicador.
DDT™(Distortion Detection Technique)
Este botón evita el recorte del amplicador de potencia que puede dañar los altavoces. Aunque este
interruptor puede activar o ignorar esta característica, Peavey® recomienda que la DDT esté activado
para un óptimo rendimiento del sistema.
SALIDA DE HEADPHONE
Salida de auriculares de 1/4 de pulgada para monitoreo personal.
LUZ INDICADORA DE LA DDT
Cuando la DDT está activado, el LED Proteger/Corte devolverá un símbolo de sostenido al activarse la
DDT. Esto es normal. Sin embargo, si el LED permanece constantemente iluminado, el nivel de ganancia
debe reducirse para evitar posibles daños en el equipo. Cuando se deshabilita la DDT, el LED se
convierte en un indicador de corte.
INTERRUPTOR DE POWER

ENCHUFE DEL INTERRUPTOR DE PEDAL
Enchufe el interruptor de pedal Headliner en esta entrada de 1/4 de pulgada. El interruptor de pe-
dal controla el efecto crunch y el encendido/apagado del compresor. NOTA: los botones del efecto
Crunch y del compresor DEBEN estar conectados para operar con el interruptor de pedal. El número
de parte del interruptor de pedal TNT/Headliner es 03008010.
EFFECTS LOOP
El enchufe de salida proporciona una salida de preamplicador que puede utilizarse para accionar
amplicadores secundarios y procesadores externos de efectos. El enchufe de retorno proporciona
una entrada de energía de amplicador para el último efecto de la cadena. NOTA: al utilizar la uni-

GROUND LIFT
Este botón sirve para evitar bucles de tierra que podrían dar como resultado un sonido similar a un
zumbido. Cuando se presiona (posición DENTRO), se activa el conmutador conexión/desconexión a
tierra.

Die Bassverstärker von Peavey sind aufgrund ihrer hochmodernen Eigenschaften, erstklassigen Leistung, ausgezeichneten
Tons und Zuverlässigkeit legendär. Der Peavey Headliner ist ein 600 Watt Bassverstärker, der Musikern eine unglaubliche
Reihe von Features zur Verfügung stellt. Der Verstärker verfügt über einen 7-Band Grafik-EQ mit optimierten Frequenzen,
wobei mit jedem Schieberegler ein Cut und Boost von 15 dB möglich ist. Dies ermöglicht eine umfassende Bandbreite
von verschiedenen Sounds. Der Grafik-EQ kann parallel mit den Shelving Klangreglern genutzt werden oder es besteht
die Möglichkeit den Grafik-EQ ganz zu umgehen. Ein integrierter, optischer Kompressor mit Leveleinstellung und Bypass
ermöglicht es dem Musiker, die ideale Menge an Kompression zum Mix hinzufügen. Die Crunch Schaltung erzeugt einen
röhrenartigen Vintage Sound, der nur die hohen Frequenzen verzerrt aber das wichtige satte Low End bewahrt. Der Verstärker
ist zudem mit Bright- und Contour Schaltern, Effekt-Loops, Mastervolumen, sowie einem Kopfhörerausgang ausgerüstet. Der
Kompressor und die Crunch Schaltung können auch per Fußschalter angewählt werden. Der Headliner verfügt über einem
integrierten XLR-Ausgang, um das Signal zur PA oder einem Aufnahmegerät weiterzugeben. Über einen Aktiv/Passiv-Schalter
kann das entsprechende Instrument optimal an den Verstärker angepasst werden. Peavey’s exklusive DDT™ Lautsprecher-
Schutzschaltung reagiert mit leichter Kompression, wenn das Signal in ein unharmonisches Clipping gerät und behält dadurch

INPUT
Über diese 6,35 mm Klinkenbuchse wird das Instrument mit dem Verstärker verbunden. WARNUNG:
Niemals den Ausgang einer Endstufe mit diesem Input verbinden. Dadurch könnten beide Geräte
beschädigt werden.
ACTIVE/PASSIVE PICKUP SWITCH
Dieser Schalter dient zur Anpassung des Verstärkers an aktive oder passive Instrumente.
PRE GAIN
Mit diesem Regler wird der Eingangspegel des Instruments justiert.
BRIGHT SCHALTER
Diese Taste sorgt für einen 10 dB Boost bei Frequenzen von über 1 kHz. Er kann aktiviert werden, indem der
Schalter auf die Position„ON" gestellt wird.
CONTOUR
Diese Taste verstärkt hohe und tiefe Frequenzen, während die Mitten beschnitten werden, wodurch ein
moderner Sound entsteht.
CRUNCH SCHALTER
Dieser Schalter aktiviert einen Crunch-Eekt, der einen klassisch, übersteuerten, röhrenartigen Verstärker-
Sound simuliert. Bei der Benutzung der Crunch-Funktion erreichen Sie mit dem Ausschalten der Hochtöner
einen authentischeren übersteuerten Klang.
LOW
Dieser Regler sorgt für eine Shelving-Tonregelung für niedrige Frequenzen und einen Cut/Boost von +/-15
dB. In Mittelstellung ist das Signal at. Die Hauptfrequenz liegt bei 50 Hz. Die -3 dB Shelving-Eckfrequenz
liegt bei 100 Hz.
EQ BYPASS
Diese Taste entfernt den Grak-Equalizer aus der Audiokette. Wenn dieser Schalter in der„Bypass"-Position
steht, reagiert der Verstärker, als wäre der Grak-Equalizer auf„at“ eingestellt.
GRAPHIC EQUALIZER
Diese Schieber ermöglichen eine präzise Tonregelung durch den Constant-Q Sieben-Band-Equalizer. Jedes
Band kann um 15 dB verstärkt oder verringert werden.
HIGH
Dieser Knopf sorgt für eine Shelving-Klangregelung für hohe Frequenzen und einen Cut/Boost von +/-15 dB.
In Mittelstellung ist das Signal„at“ und die Frequenz liegt bei 8 KHz. Die -3 dB Eckfrequenz des Shelving
Filters beträgt 5 KHz.
COMPRESSOR
Durch Drehen dieses Knopfs im Uhrzeigersinn wird die Menge der Kompression in der Signalkette erhöht.

VOLUME
Dieser Regler bestimmt die Gesamtlautstärke des Verstärkers.
DDT™(Distortion Detection Technique)
Diese Taste sorgt dafür, dass der Verstärker nicht in einen Clippingbereich kommt, der zu einer
Beschädigung der Lautsprecher führen würde. Obwohl diese Eigenschaft mit diesem Schalter aktiviert
oder deaktiviert werden kann, empehlt Peavey®, dass DDT stets aktiviert sein sollte, um die optimale
Leistungsfähigkeit des Systems zu garantieren.
HEADPHONE AUSGANG
6,35 mm Kopfhörer-Ausgang.
DDT FUNKTIONSLEUCHTE
Wenn DDT aktiviert ist, blinkt die Protect/Clip-LED, falls das DDT einsetzt. Dies ist normal! Wenn die
LED jedoch ständig leuchtet, muss der Gain Pegel verringert werden, um einem möglichen Schaden am
Gerät vorzubeugen. Wenn DDT deaktiviert ist, wird die LED eine Clip-Anzeige.
POWER SCHALTER
Drücken Sie diesen Schalter auf die„ON"-Position, um das Gerät einzuschalten. Die grüne LED leuchtet
und zeigt an, dass die Einheit mit Strom versorgt wird.
Vorsicht: Der Power-Schalter unterbricht nicht beide Seiten der Hauptstromleitung.
Gefährlicher Strom kann auch dann im Gehäuse fließen, wenn der Power-Schalter auf
„OFF“ steht.
WECHSELSTROMEINGANG:
Dies ist der Anschluss für ein IEC-Stromkabel über das der Verstärker mit dem Stromnetz verbunden
wird. Stecken Sie das Stromkabel in diese Buche, um das Gerät mit Strom zu versorgen. Das Gerät
kann beschädigt werden, wenn eine falsche Netzspannung angesetzt wird. (Beachten Sie den
Netzspannungsvermerk am Gerät).
Entfernen Sie niemals den Erdungspol eines Gerätes. Er dient Ihrer Sicherheit. Wenn der Anschluss
keinen Erdungspol besitzt, sollte ein geeigneter Erdungsadapter verwendet werden, so dass das dritte
Kabel ordnungsgemäß geerdet wird. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass der Verstärker und alle zugehörigen
Geräte ordnungsgemäß geerdet sind, um das Risiko eines Stromschlags oder Feuers zu vermeiden.

FUSSSCHALTER-ANSCHLUSS
Verbinden Sie Ihren Headliner Fußschalter mit dieser 6,35 mm Klinkenbuchse. Der Fußschalter
regelt den Crunch Eekt und schaltet den Kompressor an/aus. HINWEIS: Die Crunch- und die Kom-
pressortaste MUSS aktiviert sein, damit der Fußschalter genutzt werden kann. Die Bestellnummer
für den TNT/Headliner-Fußschalter ist 03008010.
EFFECTS LOOP
Der Send-Anschluss liefert einen Preamp Output, der genutzt werden kann, um einen Slave Amp
und externe Eektprozessoren anzusteuern. Der Return-Anschluss liefert das Signal nach der Eek-
tkette, zum Input in eine Endstufe. HINWEIS: Sollte der Amp als Slave Poweramp genutzt werden,
so sollte die Return-Buchse als Input genutzt werden.
DIRECT INTERFACE (Dl)
Diese integrierte, symmetrische Direktschnittstelle wird genutzt, um ein gepuffertes, unverarbeit-
etes Signal an einen externen Mischer zu senden.
Dl PRE/POST-SCHALTER
Diese Taste schaltet den Dl-Ausgang von Pre-EQ auf Post-EQ.
GROUND LIFT
Diese Taste verhindert eine Erdungsschleife, welche zu einem ungewünschten Brummen führen
könnte. Ist sie gedrückt (IN-Position), wird der Ground Lift aktiviert.

due bande di tipo shelving con controlli su alti e bassi, o bypassarlo completamente. Un compressore integrato con controllo di
livello e bypass permette ai bassisti di aggiungere il corretto ammontare di compressione al mixer, mentre il Crunch aggiunge
un effetto valvolare d’epoca che distorce soltanto le alte frequenze, preservando tutte le altre a bassa gamma. L’amplificatore
vanta inoltre, controlli Bright e Contour, loop effetti, volume generale e uscita cuffie. Altre caratteristiche risiedono nella
selezionabili di compressione e Crunch tramite footswitch. L’Headliner vanta un’interfaccia diretta (DI) XLR integrata che i
bassisti possono utilizzare per inviare il segnale al sistema audio di casa o a un dispositivo di registrazione/mixer. Inoltre,
un interruttore di controllo pickup attivo/passivo che compensa gli ingressi diretti. L’esclusivo circuito di protezione DDT™
