Saving a phone number to the Phone Book
In Dial Up mode, enter the 10-digit PeerCall number
and press Function . The message "Enter ID 0-9" will
be displayed. Enter the one digit memory ID (0-9);
the 10-digit phone number will be stored on that ID
number in the Phone Book and displayed on the
screen.
Press OK to call. Press Exit or hang up return to
Standby mode.
PLEASE NOTE: The 10-digit number will be
immediately stored on the server. If the connection is
interrupted, the number will be dropped. The
message "Not Ready..." indicates the PeerCall is off-
line ( please refer to section 2.1). If this happens,
wait a moment and try your call again.
Retrieving a phone number from the Phone Book
In Standby mode, the user can select a phone
number from the Phone Book by holding down the
memory ID (0-9, one digit number) for more than 2
seconds. The phone number for the selected memory
ID will be displayed. Press OK to start your call.
Press Exit or hang up to return to Standby mode.
During the conversation, if the caller hangs up the
Handset or presses Exit , the message "End of Talk"
will be displayed for 2 seconds; the PeerCall will then
return to Standby mode. If the link was disconnected
due to transmission difficulties ( for more than 8
seconds), the message "Disconnected" will be
displayed.
If the voice message box is full,you will hear a busy
tone and the display will show
"Msg Box Full"
with a
warning (buzzer) sound.
Hang up the Handset or press Exit button to return
to Standby mode.
PLEASE NOTE: Up to 3 messages can be stored at
the voice message server. For information on how to
set up the server to automatically remove your oldest
read message, go to www.peercall.com.
Otherwise, the user should clear the voice message
box regularly. The server will not record any
additional new messages if the voice message box is
full.
When the Voice Message Box is available, the user
will hear a pre-recorded Greeting Message. The
display will show
"Voice Mail"
. If the recipient did not
record a Greeting Message, the caller will hear the
following default Greeting Message:
When someone is calling, the buzzer will ring and the
incoming PeerCall number will be displayed in the
window, e.g. 111-666-8888. Pick up the Handset or
press OK to answer the call.
While talking on the phone, the LCD window will show
"Talking... ", an incoming ( ) icon, the current time,
hh:mm mo/dy, and the elapsed time ee (in minutes).
The Internet traffic indicator will also be displayed.
