instructions.
CONTINUOUS VOX ADJUSTMENT
To prevent disruptive wind noise, your FMT160 is equipped with continuous
VOX adjustment.
Turn the knob clockwise and VOX is activated by loud noises while the music
is turned down.
Turn the knob anti-clockwise and VOX is activated by softer noises while the
music is turned down.
Place the knob in OPEN position and VOX is activated by weak noises while
music is not turned down.

IMPORTANT USER INFORMATION
Installing and using your Peltor MC Intercom
1. Installing the microphone:
Install the mike in the helmet so that it is positioned in front of the mouth.
Install a plastic protector on the back of the mike to block wind noise.
2. Using the microphone:
The microphone is an ambient noise-compensated lip mike. When adjusting
the height of the mike (three positions on the MT63), make sure to position it
very close to or in direct contact with the mouth, 2–5 mm, for the best noise
attenuation, audibility and voice control. If the mike is positioned just 1 cm from
the mouth, the voice volume drops by 6 dB ( = by half).
3. Using the amplier:
The amplier is intended for permanent mounting on the motorcycle, either with
screws or cable ties. Mount the amplier in such a way as to protect it from
moisture as much as possible. Place the wires so that they cannot snag on
anything. Test the system on site before mounting. Do not store the intercom in
temperatures exceeding 55 °C, for example on a dashboard or windowsill.
Note: Certain chemical substances may be harmful to this product. Contact the

For the system to work properly it must be:

STUFENLOSE VOX-FUNKTION
Zur Eliminierung störender Windgeräusche ist Ihr FMT160 mit einer stufenlosen
VOX-Funktion ausgestattet.
Den Drehknopf im Uhrzeigersinn drehen, damit VOX durch höhere Lautstärken
aktiviert wird; die Musik wird gedämpft.
Den Drehknopf gegen den Uhrzeigersinn drehen, damit VOX durch niedrigere
Lautstärken aktiviert wird; die Musik wird gedämpft.
Wenn der Drehknopf auf „OPEN“ steht, wird VOX durch schwache Lautstärken
aktiviert, die Musik wird nicht gedämpft.

Montage und Benutzung des Peltor MC-Intercom
1. Montage des Mikrofons:
Das Mikrofon am Helm vor dem Mund anbringen.
Zur Eliminierung von Windgeräuschen auf der Rückseite des Mikrofons einen
Plastikschutz anbringen.
2. Benutzung des Mikrofons:
Das lärmkompensierte Lippenmikrofon soll bei der Höheneinstellung (bei MT63
drei Stufen) nah oder direkt am Mund liegen, in ca. 2–5 mm Abstand. So ist
die optimale Lärmdämmung und Funktion der automatischen Sprachsteuerung
des Verstärkers gewährleistet, und das Gesprochene kann am deutlichsten
aufgefasst werden. Wird der Abstand auf 1 cm vom Mund vergrößert, sinkt die
Lautstärke um ca. 6 dB (Halbierung).
3. Funktion des Verstärkers:
Der Verstärker ist zur festen Montage am Motorrad bestimmt, er kann entweder
angeschraubt oder mit Kabelbinder befestigt werden. Den Verstärker so
anbringen, dass er möglichst gut vor Feuchtigkeit geschützt ist. Die Kabel auf
die praktischste Art und Weise so verlegen, dass nichts daran hängen bleiben
kann. Das System vor der Montage vor Ort testen. Das Intercom nicht bei
Temperaturen über +55 °C aufbewahren, wie sie z. B. hinter einem Fenster oder
einer Windschutzscheibe erreicht werden können.
Achtung! Dieses Produkt kann durch bestimmte chemische Stoffe beeinträchtigt
werden. Weitere Informationen können beim Hersteller angefordert werden.
