Do not use this apparatus near water.

registers, stoves or other apparatus (including ampliers) that

Do not defect the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-
type plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than
the other. A grounding type plug has two blades and a third
grounding prong. The wide blade or the third prong are provid-
ed for your safety. If the provided plug does not t into your out-
let, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet
– USA version only.
Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched par-
ticularly at plug, convenience receptacles, and the point where
they exit from the apparatus.

Only use attachments / accessories specied by the manufac-
turer.
Use only with the cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specied
by the manufacturer, or sold with the apparatus. When a cart is
used, use caution when moving the cart / apparatus combina-
tion to avoid injury from tip-over.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused
for long periods of time.
Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel. Servicing is
required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way,
such as power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been
spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus
has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate nor-
mally, or has been dropped.
To reduce the risk of re or electric shock, Do not expose this
appliance to Rain or Moisture.
The Shock Hazard Marking and Associated Graphical Symbol
is provided on the bottom panel of unit.
Apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no
objects lled with liquids, shall be placed on the apparatus.
For outdoors use, to avoid electric shock, use battery only dur-
ing a raining day or the weather is wet.

Power the radio
1. Battery operation
Installing the batteries, rst turn battery cover xture anti-clockwise
to loosen and pull out the battery cover to your right. Insert 4 x C
size (UM-2) battery into the compartment. Ensure the battery is in-
serted in accordance with the diagram shown.
Close the battery cover and fasten the xture by turning clockwise.
If the radio is not to be used for any extended period of time, it is
recommended that the battery is removed from the radio.
Reduced power, distortion and a “ stuttering sound “ or low battery
sign is ashing on the display are all signs that the batteries need
replaced.

2. AC operation
Before you plug the AC power cord into the AC socket, be sure the
voltage is correct. If you have batteries in the radio and use the AC
power, the batteries will automatically be disconnected.
AC power storage is designed to store the cord when the radio is
not in use.
3. Operating the radio
This FM radio is equipped with two tuning methods – manual tun-
ing and memory presets recall.
Manual Tuning
1. Press the Power button to turn on the radio.
2. Be sure to screw in the rubber FM antenna properly to get best
reception.
3. Rotate the Tuning Control knob will change the frequency in
50 kHz increments.
4. Rotate the Volume Control knob to get required sound level.
5. To turn off the radio, press the Power button.
Display will show OFF.

Preset stations
Storing the stations in preset memories, please follow below steps.
There are 5 memory presets in this radio.
1. Press the Power button to turn on the radio.
2. Rotate Tuning Control knob to tune to required station.
3. Press and hold down the required preset until radio beeps.
The preset number will appear in the display and the station will
be stored under chosen preset button.
4. Repeat this procedure for the remaining presets.
5. Stations stored in preset memories can be overwritten by
following above procedures.
Software version
The software display cannot be altered and is just for your refer-
ence.
1. Turn off your radio.
2. Press and hold the preset button 3 until the software version
number (e.g. P xx) shown on the display.

Recall stations from preset memories
1. Press the Power button to turn on the radio.
2. Momentarily press the required Preset button, the preset number
and station frequency will appear in the display.
Aux In socket
The Aux In socket is to connect audio source like the MP3 player or
CD walkman to listen the audio program via the speaker.
Remove the rubber cover, connect the audio source with a 3.5 mm
audio connector wire, rotate the Volume Control to play the audio
program.
Note:
When the audio source is connected, it will automatically mute the
radio program you are listening. Display will show 'AU' when the
audio source is connected.
Factory reset
If you wish to completely reset your radio to its initial state this may
be performed by the following procedure.
1. Turn off your radio.
2. Press and release the preset button 5 for 2-3 seconds and the
full reset will be performed.

Plaats het apparaat niet in de buurt van warmtebronnen, zoals
radiatoren, verwarmingsroosters, fornuizen en andere appara-
ten (waaronder ook versterkers) die warmte produceren.
Gebruik de veiligheidsfunctie van de gepolariseerde of geaarde
stekker. Een gepolariseerde stekker heeft twee pinnen, één is
breder dan de ander. Een geaarde stekker heeft twee pinnen
en een dere aardepin. De brede pin of derde pin zijn voorzien
voor uw veiligheid. Als de voorziene stekker niet in uw stop-
contact past, raadpleeg dan een electriciën voor het vervangen
van uw stopcontact – alleen voor de V.S. versie.
Bescherm het snoer en zorg dat ervoor dat er niet op gelopen
kan worden en dat hij niet klem kan komen te zitten, vooral bij
de stekkerdozen en de plek waar het snoer uit het apparaat
komt.

Gebruik alleen hulpmiddelen / accessoires die gespeciceerd
zijn door de fabrikant.
Gebruik alleen de karren, standaards, driehoeksstandaards,
beugels of tafels die gespeciceerd zijn door de fabrikant of met
het apparaat meeverkocht zijn. Als u een kar gebruikt, wees
dan voorzichtig bij het verplaatsen ervan om te voorkomen dat
het apparaat om zou kantelen en letsel zou veroorzaken.
Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact tijdens onweersbuien en als
het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt wordt.
Laat al het onderhoud doen door gekwalificeerd personeel.
Onderhoud is nodig als het apparaat beschadigd is, als het
stroomsnoer of de stekker beschadigd is, als vloeistof in het
apparaat gemorst is, als voorwerpen erin gevallen zijn, als het
apparaat blootgesteld geweest is aan regen of vochtigheid, als
het niet normaal werkt of als het gevallen is.
Stel dit apparaat niet bloot aan Regen en Vochtigheid om het
gevaar van brand en elektrische schokken te voorkomen.
Een aanduiding voor Schokgevaren en een bijpassend grasch
symbool zijn voorzien aan de onderkant van dit apparaat.
Stel dit apparaat niet bloot aan druppelend of spetterend water
en plaats geen voorwerpen die gevuld zijn met vloeistoffen op
het apparaat.
Gebruik, bij buitenshuis gebruik op regenachtige dagen of bij
nat weer, alleen batterijen.

Voeding voor de radio
1. Gebruik met batterijen
Draai, voor het installeren van de batterijen, eerst het batterijklepje
tegen de klok in om het los te krijgen en trek het er vervolgens naar
rechts uit. Plaats 4 x C (UM-2) batterijen in het compartiment. Zorg
ervoor dat de batterijen geplaatst worden volgens het getoonde
plaatje.
Doe het batterijklepje dicht en zet het vast door het met de klok
mee dicht te draaien.
Als de radio langere tijd niet wordt gebruikt is het aan te raden de
batterijen uit de radio te verwijderen.
Verminderde sterkte, geluidsvervorming en knipperen van de ‘bat-
terij bijna leeg‘ indicator in het scherm zijn tekenen dat u de batte-
rijen moet vervangen.

2. Gebruik van wisselstroom
Verzeker u ervan dat het voltage klopt voordat u de stekker in het
stopcontact steekt. Als er nog batterijen in de radio zitten terwijl u
wisselstroom gebruikt, zullen deze automatisch losgekoppeld wor-
den.
De radio is voorzien van een opslag voor het snoer voor als de ra-
dio niet in gebruik is.
3. Bediening van de radio
U kunt de zenders op deze radio op twee manieren afstemmen:
Handmatig Afstemmen en Oproepen van Voorkeurzenders.
Handmatig afstemmen
1. Druk de Aan / Uit-schakelaar in om de radio aan te zetten.
2. Draai de rubberen FM-antenne goed in voor de beste ontvangst.
3. Door aan de Afstemknop te draaien zal de frequentie steeds met
50 kHz toenemen.
4. Draai aan de volumeknop om het gewenste volume in te stellen.
5. Druk de Aan / Uit-schakelaar in om de radio uit te zetten.
Het scherm toont OFF.

Installeren van radiozenders
Voor het installeren van radiozenders in het geheugen volgt u on-
derstaande stappen. Er zijn vijf geheugenplekken op deze radio.
1. Druk de Aan / Uit-schakelaar in om de radio aan te zetten.
2. Draai aan de Afstemknop om de gewenste zenderfrequentie
te kiezen.
3. Houdt de gewenste voorkeuzeknop ingedrukt totdat de radio een
piepgeluid geeft. Het nummer van de zender verschijnt in het
scherm en wordt opgeslagen onder de gekozen voorkeuzeknop.
4. Herhaal de procedure voor de overige zenders.
5. De zenders die zijn opgeslagen kunnen ook weer overschreven
worden door bovenstaande stappen te herhalen.
Oproepen van Voorkeurzenders
1. Druk de Aan / Uit-schakelaar in om de radio aan te zetten.
2. Druk korte tijd op de gewenste voorkeuzeknop.
Het geheugennummer en de zenderfrequentie verschijnen in het
scherm.

Softwareversie
De getoonde softwareversie kan niet worden veranderd en dient al-
leen ter informatie.
1. Schakel uw radio uit.
2. Houd de knop voor voorkeurszender 3 ingedrukt tot de softwareversie
(bijv. P xx) wordt getoond op het display.
Aux - poort
Via de Aux-poort kunt u audiobronnen zoals een MP3speler of CD
walkman op de radio aansluiten. Op deze manier kunt u via de
luidspreker van de radio audioprogramma’s beluisteren.
Verwijder het rubberen kapje, sluit de audiobron aan met een 3,5
mm verbindingsnoer en draai aan de volumeknop om het audiopro-
gramma te beluisteren.
NB:
Als een audiobron wordt aangesloten op de radio dan zal het ge-
luid van het radioprogramma dat aanstaat automatisch gedempt
worden. Het display toont 'AU' als er verbinding is gemaakt met de
audiobron.
Fabrieksreset
Het is mogelijk om de radio volledig te resetten naar de initiële
staat. Dit kan door de volgende procedure te volgen.
1. Schakel uw radio uit.
2. Druk voor 2-3 seconden op de knop voor voorkeurszender 5 om
de volledige reset uit te voeren.

Let op: Als u op een later moment dit product van de hand wilt doen: Elektrisch af-
val hoort niet met het huishoudelijk afval weggegooid te worden. Maak gebruik van
beschikbare faciliteiten om te recyclen. Raadpleeg uw plaatselijke overheid of de
speciaalzaak voor informatie over het recyclen. (Richtlijn Verwijdering Elektrische en
Elektronische Apparaten).
