1. Always use common sense and pay particular
attention to all the DANGER, WARNING, CAUTION
and NOTICE statements of this manual. The safety
instructions provided are not intended to cover all
possible conditions and practices that may occur
when operating, maintaining and cleaning power
tools.
2. Observe work area conditions. Do not use machines
or power tools in damp or wet locations. Don’t
expose to rain. Keep work area well lighted. Do not
use electrically powered tools in the presence of
ammable gases or liquids. Do not bring combustible
materials near the tools. Power tools create sparks,
which may ignite the dust or fumes. Keep work
area clean and well lit. Cluttered work areas invite
accidents.
3. Use personal protective equipment. Wear ANSI
approved safety goggles. Protective equipment
such as dusk mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat,
heavy duty work gloves or hearing protection used for

appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
4. Keep bystanders, children and visitors away while
operating this product. Distractions can cause you to
lose control.
5. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, and use
common sense when operating this product. Do not
use this product while tired or under the inuence of
drugs, alcohol, or medication. A moment of inattention
while operating this product may result in serious
personal injury. Keep proper footing and balance at all
times. Do not reach over or across running machines,
hoses, cords, etc.
6. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry.
Keep your hair, clothing, and gloves away from mov-
ing parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
7. Inspect before every use; do not use if parts are loose
or damaged.
8. Do not alter this product in any way.
9. Use the right tool for the job. Do not attempt to force
a small tool or attachment to do the work of a larger
industrial tool. Don’t use a tool whose performance
is not adequate for your work. Do not modify this tool
and do not use this tool for a purpose for which it was
not intended.
10. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never
modify the plug in any way. Do not use any
adapter plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools.
Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce
risk of electric shock.
11. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
12. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
13. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for
carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving
parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
14. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of
electric shock.
15. If operating a power tool in a damp location is
unavoidable, use a ground fault circuit interrupter
(GFCI) protected supply. Use of a GFCI reduces
the risk of electric shock.
16. Use power tools only with specically designated
battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may
create a risk of injury and re.
17. Before using battery pack, please read carefully
all instructions and cautionary markings on battery
pack, battery charger and product using battery. Do
not incinerate the battery pack even if it is severely
damaged or is completely worn out. The battery
pack can explode.
18. Do not carry battery packs in aprons, pockets, or
tool boxes, product kit boxes, drawers, etc. with
loose metal objects. Battery pack terminals could
be short-circuited causing damage to the battery
pack, severe burns or re.
19. The battery pack is Nickel-Cadmium (Ni-Cad) and
is considered to be a toxic material by the Envi-
ronmental Protection Agency. Before disposing of
damaged or worn out Ni-Cad battery packs, check
with your State Environmental Protection Agency to
nd out about special restrictions on the disposal of
these battery packs.
20. The battery is not fully charged. Before rst use, the
battery pack requires 8-10 hours charge time to be
fully charged. Subsequent recharging needs 3-5
hours for the battery to be fully charged.
21. Always switch to a fresh battery when tool perfor-
mance begins to diminish. Severe heat is most
destructive to a battery; the more heat generated,
the faster the battery loses power. A battery that
gets too hot can have a shortened life.
22. Never over-discharge a battery by using the tool
even after tool performance has decreased. Do not
attempt to discharge a tool’s battery by continuing
to pull on the tool trigger. When tool performance
begins to diminish, stop the tool and recharge the
battery for optimal performance.
23. Ensure the switch is in the off position before insert-
ing battery pack. Charge battery pack at ambient
temperatures between 50° F -104° F. Store tool
and battery pack in locations where temperatures
will not exceed 120°F. This is important to prevent
serious damage to the battery cells.
24. A battery operated tool with integral batteries or
a separate battery pack must be recharged only
with the specied charger for the battery. A charger
that may be suitable for one type of battery may
create a risk of re when used with another battery.
Use battery operated tool only with specically
designated battery pack. Use of any other batteries
may create risk of re.
25. When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from
other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,
nails, screws or other small metal objects, that can
make a connection from one terminal to another.
Shorting the battery terminals together may cause
burns or a re.
26. Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected
from the battery; avoid contact. If contact acciden-
tally occurs, ush with water. If liquid contacts eyes,
additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from
the battery may cause irritation or burns.
27. Prevent accidental starting. Ensure switch is in the
“OFF” position before connecting to power source
and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.

28. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not
turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be
repaired.
29. When using the Cordless Impact Wrench, always
maintain a rm grip on the tool with both hands.
30. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when
performing an operation where the cutting tool may
contact hidden wiring. Contact with a "live" wire will
also make exposed metal parts of the tool "live" and
shock the operator.
31. Do not grasp the tool or place your hands too close
to the spinning chuck or drill bit. Your hand may be
lacerated or may cause injury. Secure the material
being worked on. Never hold it in your hand or
across your legs. Unstable support can cause loss
of control and injury.
32. Position yourself to avoid being caught between
the tool or side handle and walls or posts. Should
the socket or bit become bound in the work, the
reaction torque of the tool could crush your hand or
leg.
33. Check to see that keys and adjusting wrenches are
removed from the Cordless Impact Wrench before
switching the tool "ON". Keys or wrenches can
yaway at high velocity striking you or a bystander.
34. Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is
maintained. Follow instructions in the Maintenance
section of this manual. Use of unauthorized parts
or failure to follow Maintenance Instructions may
create a risk of shock or injury.
35. Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or
the battery pack from the power tool before making
any adjustments or changing accessories. Such
preventive safety measures reduce the risk of start-
ing the power tool accidentally.
36. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tool’s op-
eration. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
37. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges
are less likely to bind and are easier to control.
38. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.
in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be
performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a
hazardous situation.
39. Store idle equipment. When not in use, tools must
be stored in a dry location to inhibit rust. Always
lock up tools and keep out of reach of children and
other untrained persons. Switch off all unused elec-
trical tools when stored. Disconnect battery from
unit. Tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained
users.

BATTERY PACK INSTALLATION
TO REMOVE BATTERY PACK:
1. Press release button on front side of the Cordless Impact
Wrench to release the battery pack.
2. Pull battery pack free of Cordless Impact Wrench.
TO ATTACH BATTERY PACK:
1. Align the raised portion of the battery pack with the
groove in the battery compartment of the Cordless Impact
Wrench.
2. Press the battery pack into place. Make sure the latch
is securely fastened. Do not use the Cordless Impact
Wrench if the battery pack is not seated properly.
BATTERY PACK CHARGING OPERATIONS
NOTICE The charger will not
automatically turn “OFF” when the
battery pack is fully charged. The
charging indicator light will remain “ON”
until the charger is disconnected from
the electrical outlet. Remove battery
pack from charger and disconnect
charger from power after 5 hours of
charging operation Overcharging can

Impact Wrench is in the “OFF” position
and remove the battery pack from the
Cordless Impact Wrench.

2. Plug 120V AC Adapter into household
outlet and into side of battery charger.
The Red indicator light will come “ON”.
3. Insert battery pack into battery charger.
The Green indicator light will come “ON”
indicating that battery is being charged.
4. After 3 - 5 hours of charging, remove the
battery pack from charger and reat-
tach battery pack onto Cordless Impact
Wrench, making certain latches fasten
securely. Cordless Impact Wrench will
not operate properly if the battery pack
is not seated properly.
NOTICE Continuous use of your tool
causes the battery pack to become hot.
Let a hot battery pack cool down for ap-
proximately 30 minutes before attempt-
ing to recharge.

INSTALLING ACCESSORIES
CAUTION When removing the socket or
bit from the tool, avoid contact with skin
and use proper protective gloves when
grasping the socket, bit or accessory.
Accessories may be hot after prolonged
use.
1. To installing a socket, press the socket
on until it locks securely in place.
2. To remove a socket, pull the socket
while slightly rotating.
OPERATING THE IMPACT WRENCH
WARNING Never tape the trigger switch
down to provide continuous high speed.
The tool may fail under such conditions
causing fire or personal injury.
VARIABLE SPEED TRIGGER SWITCH:
• The speed of the Cordless Impact
Wrench depends on the amount of
pressure you put on the trigger.
• The more pressure you apply, the faster
the Cordless Impact Wrench will go.
• Release the pressure and the Cordless
Impact Wrench will slow down.
OPERATION
WARNING Be aware that this tool is always in an operating condition because it does
not have to be plugged into an electrical outlet. Always lock the Trigger Switch and
remove the battery pack before changing accessories.

NOTICE
Be sure the trigger is released when
changing the position of the lever. Always store the
tool in the “LOCKED/OFF” position. Always check
the direction of the Cordless Impact Wrench’s rota-
tion before use.
• To select forward Cordless Impact Wrench rotation,
press the trigger lock from left to right at against the
Cordless Impact Wrench body.
• To select reverse, press the trigger lock lever in the
opposite direction.
• The center position locks the tool.

CARE & MAINTENANCE
WARNING Always remove the bat-
tery pack before attempting cleaning or
maintenance.
NOTICE This Cordless Impact Wrench
is lubricated before it leaves the factory.
This lubrication should last for the life of
the tool. No further lubrication is required.
Use only mild soap and a damp cloth to clean
the tool. Never let any liquid get inside the
casing. Never immerse any part of the tool in
a liquid. Always keep the ventilation openings
clear.
Always clean the battery pack using only a dry
cloth. Do not use liquids.
Always unplug the charger before cleaning it.
Regularly clean the ventilation slots in your tool
and charger using only a soft brush or dry cloth.
Never open the Cordless Impact Wrench case,
battery pack or charger. Do not attempt to repair
the Cordless Impact Wrench, battery pack or
charger yourself. Opening any of these parts will
void your warranty.
ACCESSORIES
Use only accessories that are recommended by the manufacturer for your model. Acces-
sories that may be suitable for one tool may become hazardous when used on another
tool.
Always attach grounded (3-prong) extension cords to grounded (3-hole) outlets. If you
must use an extension cord, be sure that the gauge is large enough to carry the amount
of current necessary for your power tool. If not, your tool may experience a loss of power,
excessive voltage drop or overheating. The smaller the gauge number, the heavier the
cord (see table below).

1 YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY
PERFORMANCE TOOL® extends only the following warranties, and only to original retail purchasers. These warranties give specific legal rights. Except
where prohibited by local law, the law of the State of Washington governs all warranties and all exclusions and limitations of warranties and remedies.
There may be other rights which vary from state to state.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® warrants the product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service. A defective product
may be returned for a free replacement within 90 days from the date of purchase, provided that product is returned to place of purchase immediately after
discovery of defect. After 90 days and up to one year from date of purchase, PERFORMANCE TOOL® will replace at no charge any parts which our
examination shall disclose to be defective and under warranty. These warranties shall be valid only when a sales receipt showing the date of purchase
accompanies the defective product or defective part(s) being returned. For part(s) after 90 days, please remit your request, postage prepaid to:

These warranties exclude blades, bits, punches, dies, bulbs, fuses, hoses, and other consumables which must be replaced under normal use and service.

way so as to affect adversely its performance or reliability, nor shall these warranties apply to any product or part which has been subject to misuse,
neglect, accident or wear and tear incident to normal use and service.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® does not authorize any other person to make any warranty or to assume any liability in connection with its products.
Except for warranties of title and the limited express warranties set forth above, PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes no express or implied warranties of any
kind with respect to its products. In particular, PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes no implied warranty of merchantability and no implied warranty of fitness for
any particular purpose, except that for goods purchased primarily for personal, family or household use and not for commercial or business use,
PERFORMANCE TOOL® makes an implied warranty of merchantability (and, if otherwise applicable, an implied warranty of fitness for a particular
purpose), but only for the particular qualities or characteristics, and for the duration, expressly warranted above. The laws on limitation of implied warranties
may differ from state to state, so the above limitations may not apply in all cases.
PERFORMANCE TOOL® shall not be liable for consequential, incidental or special damages resulting from or in any manner related to any product, or to
the design, use, or any inability to use the product. The sole and exclusive remedy for a defective product or part shall be the repair, or replacement thereof
as provided above. The laws on limitation of remedies or on consequential, incidental or special damages may vary from state to state, so the above
limitations may not apply in all cases.
