Assembly Instructions
for
PLANTER #3636
NOTE 1:
All holes are pre-drilled and screws are included.
*DO NOT overdrive screws
**Be Careful not to discard any parts with packaging.
NOTE 2:
Cedar has a “finished side and edge” that should always face
outward and upward. Identify the non-finished side (circled item
in image below highlights non-finished
area). Notice the top “finished edge” is
placed upward and the non-finished
side inward so it is covered by the
growing medium.
Stain your cedar planters for protection from the sun’s UV rays. If you want to
retain the natural cedar look there are some clear or “neutral” stains on the
market designed strictly for protection without colorization. Just make sure the
stain you select contains UV inhibitors. UV damage is one of the leading causes of
cedar wood discoloration leading to a gray washed-out look.
Tools Required: Changeable bit Screwdriver or electric Drill (Bit included in this Kit).

ASSEMBLY:
Step 1: Position two legs to your left and right, one set of slots facing each other,
the other slots facing toward you.
NOTE: Place the best side of the panel toward the side of the leg with no slot.
Insert Panel into facing slots of left and right Legs.
Step 2::Insert Panels with BOTTOM
SUPPORTS into those legs, Bottom
Supports toward you. Repeat for other
Panel with Bottom Supports. USE the
SLOTS as per the picture above. Then, slide END panels into
Legs of completed panel. Should look like picture to left.
Step 3: Lock Panels into legs. Using the supplied Wood
Block and a hammer, drive the panel until flush with top of leg.

Step 4: Place eight (8) slats inside the planter, resting on the Bottom Supports. NOTE: Place the Slat
with pre-drilled holes in center of the panel (see arrow in picture). Evenly space the slats. The slats on
the ends should be against the legs.
Step 5. Secure the middle slat with provided screws into the pre-drilled
holes. (DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN)
Step 6: Position Corner Caps on
top of Legs. Caps hang over
outside of leg roughly 3/8 of an inch. Fasten with provided
screws using pre-drilled holes. DO NOT OVER TIGHTEN
Step 7: Place filter fabric inside of the planter, covering the
bottom and up the sides. Fold the fabric in the corners for a
tight fit. You may need to trim the fabric with scissors.
