Your SACD player s set to correctly reproduce
synchron zed D g tal Surround Sound n a l sten ng area
where the surround speakers are about 150cm nearer
to the l sten ng pos t on than the front speakers and the

Digital Surround
Measure the d stances n cent meters from the front
speaker plane and from the surround speaker plane to
the l sten ng pos t on ng plane.
Substract the surround d stance from the front d stance

If the center speaker s on the front speaker plane, no
center speaker delay s needed. You can adjust the delay

36 OPERATION
Enhanced use
Filter switch
Not all ampl f ers/rece vers and speakers can handle the
extended frequency response of SACD. Your SACD s
equ pped w th a sw tchable f lter on the rear. The
factory sett ng for th s f lter s 40 KHz, wh ch s safe for
all systems. If your system can handle the full frequency
range of SACD (check the relevant manuals or, when n
doubt, contact your dealer) do the follow ng:
Set the sw tch to the requ red output s gnal.
Pos t on 1 : 40 kHz - output s gnal on all speakers s set
to 40 kHz.
Pos t on 2 : 50 kHz FRONT/50 kHz OTHERS - output
s gnal on front speakers s set to 50 kHz;
output s gnal on all other speakers s set to
40 kHz.
Pos t on 3 : 50 kHz - output s gnal on all speakers s set
to 50 kHz.
Warning: If ou are not sure that our s stem is
able to handle audio input signals up to 50 KHz,
do not change the output signal. You ma
damage our speakers or amplifier/receiver.
S stem grounding
When your system cons sts of a lot of components,
occas onal d sturbance problems (l ke howl ng no ses)
may occur. These problems can be solved by ground ng
the system.
1Unscrew the ground connector GND halfway,
connect an earth w re to the connector and t ghten
the connector aga n.
2Connect the earth w re to the ground connector of
the next component n the system.
3If ground connectors are ava lable on the other
components of your system, ground the other
components n the same way.
