Introduction
◗With your new Satinelle super sensitive you
can remove unwanted hairs quickly and
effectively in an extra-gentle way.
◗The new double-active pain softener relaxes
your skin like a massage, thereby more
effectively masking the sensation of epilation.
As a result, you will hardly feel any pain.
◗The rapidly rotating epilating discs catch even
the shortest hairs (even as short as half a
millimetre!) and quickly remove them by the
root.As a result, your skin stays smooth for
up to four weeks and regrowth is soft and
downy.

Important
Read these instructions for use carefully before
using the appliance and save them for future
reference.
◗Check if the mains voltage indicated on the
adapter plug corresponds to the local mains
voltage before you connect the appliance.
The appliance is suitable for 220-240V/50-
50Hz/4W.
◗Make sure the appliance does not come into
contact with water.
◗To prevent damage and injuries, keep the
running appliance away from your hair,
eyebrows, eyelashes, clothes, threads, cords,
brushes etc.
◗Keep the appliance out of the reach of
children.
◗Only use the appliance in combination with
the adapter plug supplied.
◗If the adapter plug of this appliance is
damaged, it may only be replaced with an
adapter plug of the original type.Turn to your
Philips dealer or the Philips Customer Care
Centre in your country for replacement.
◗The appliance contains two nickel cadmium
(NiCd) batteries which may harm the
environment if not disposed of properly.

◗Do not expose the appliance to temperatures
lower than 5cC or higher than 35cC.
◗Do not use the epilating head on irritated skin
or skin with varicose veins, rashes, spots,
moles (with hairs) or wounds without
consulting your doctor first. People with a
reduced immune response, e.g. during
pregnancy, or people who suffer from diabetes
mellitus, haemophilia or immunodeficiency
should also consult their doctor first.
◗Your skin may become a little red and
irritated the first few times you use the
epilator.This phenomenon is absolutely
normal and will quickly disappear.As you use
the appliance more often, your skin will get
used to epilation, skin irritation will decrease
and regrowth will become thinner and softer.
If the irritation has not disappeared within
three days, we advise you to consult a doctor.
◗Regular massages with a loofah may help to
prevent ingrowing hairs. Do not use the
loofah immediately before or after epilation.
◗Only epilate the underarms and bikini line
with the precision cap (B) attached.

Charging
◗The appliance can be run directly from the
mains or it can be used without the cord
when the batteries have been charged.
◗Charge the batteries for at least 16 hours
before using the appliance for the first time
and when the appliance has not been used for
more than six months.
C1Check whether the appliance is switched
off.
2Put the adapter plug (K) in the wall socket.
C3Insert the appliance plug (I) into the inlet
socket of the appliance.
C4The pilot light (G) goes on to indicate that
the batteries are being charged.The pilot
light is on so long as the appliance is
connected to the mains.
◗The batteries are fully charged after 16 hours.
Do not leave the appliance connected to the
mains for more than 24 hours at a time to extend
the life of the batteries.
◗Fully charged batteries have a cordless
epilating time of about 25 minutes.
◗Use the appliance in cordless mode until the
batteries are completely empty at least twice
a year.You can also let the appliance run

without using it.When the motor has
stopped, recharge the appliance for at least 16
hours. In this way you will make sure that the
batteries continue to perform well and have a
long life.
Epilating from the mains
◗If you notice a drop in performance during
cordless use, insert the adapter plug (K) into
the mains socket and run the appliance from
the mains.
C◗Switch the appliance off and charge the
batteries for a few minutes.Then you can
switch the appliance on and run it from the
mains.
◗Do not connect the appliance to the mains
when the batteries are fully charged.When
the batteries are completely empty, the
appliance will not work when you plug it in.

◗Epilating with the Satinelle super sensitive will
leave your skin smooth and hair-free for
weeks.As epilation may cause skin irritation
or ingrown hairs in some women, we advise
you to read the text below.
◗When you use the appliance for the first time,
we advise you to try it out on an area with
only light hair growth to get accustomed to
the epilation process.
