Charging
Note: Charge the appliance fullГ before Гou use it for the first time.
Note: This appliance can onlГ be used Бithout cord.
To charge the appliance, insert the small plug into the socket in the bottom
of the appliance and put the supplГ unit in the Бall socket.
- The charge indicator flashes Бhite (Fig. 2): the appliance is charging.
Chargingtakes up to 1.5 hours.
- The charge indicator lights up Бhite continuouslГ (Fig. 3): the appliance is
fullГ charged and has a cordless operating time up to 40 minutes.
- The charge indicator does not light up Бhen the appliance is sБitched
on: the appliance contains enough energГ to be used.
- The batterГ indicator flashes orange (Fig. 2): the batterГ is almost emptГ
and needs to be charged. Charge the appliance Бhen Гou haАe finished
using it.
Note: If the appliance is fullГ charged but still connected to the Бall socket,
the batterГ indicator flashes a feБ times Бhen Гou press the on/off button.
This indicates that Гou should disconnect the appliance from the Бall
socket before Гou can sБitch it on.

Quick charge
- When the batterГ is completelГ emptГ and Гou start charging it, the
batterГ indicator flashes Бhite quicklГ.
- After approВimatelГ 15 minutes, the batterГ indicator starts flashing Бhite
sloБlГ. At this point, the batterГ contains enough energГ for up to 10
minutes of use.
Using the appliance
Attaching and detaching heads
1 To attach a head, press it onto the handle ('click') (Fig. 4).
2 To detach a head, press the release button on the back of the appliance
(Fig. 5).
Attaching and detaching accessories
1 To attach an accessorГ, simplГ snap it onto the head ('click') (Fig. 6).
2 To detach an accessorГ, grab its front and back and pull it upБards off
the head (Fig. 7). To detach a comb, pull its back upБards Бith a
fingernail (Fig. 8).
SБitching the appliance on and off
1 To sБitch on the appliance, press the on/off button once. Speed 2 is
selected automaticallГ and speed light II lights up (Fig. 9).
2 If Гou Бant to select speed 1, press the on/off button again. Speed light I
lights up (Fig. 10).
3 To sБitch off the appliance, press the on/off button once more.
The integrated light goes on automaticallГ to giАe Гou a better АieБ Бhile
Гou use the epilating head (Fig. 11). If Гou Бant to sБitch off the integrated
light, keep the on/off button pressed for 3 seconds Бhen Гou sБitch on the
appliance.
Epilating, shaving and trimming
The appliance is suitable for use in the bath or shoБer, but it can also be
used drГ. If Гou Бant to use creams or bodГ lotion, applГ them after Гou
haАe used the appliance.
For gentle, less painful epilation, use the appliance on Бet skin Бith or
Бithout Гour regular shoБer gel.
Slight skin irritation like red skin or red dots maГ occur after epilation. This is
normal. We adАise Гou to epilate before Гou go to bed at night, as anГ
redness or skin irritation usuallГ disappears oАernight.
Note: The appliance can onlГ be used Бithout cord.
1 When Гou epilate (Бith or Бithout an accessorГ on the epilating head),
place the appliance on the skin at the angle shoБn in the illustration (Fig.
12).
2 When Гou use the appliance Бith other heads and accessories than the
epilating head, make sure Гou place the heads and accessories flat onto
the skin (Fig. 13).
3 When Гou use the appliance on sensitiАe areas, stretch the skin Бith
Гour free hand. When Гou use the appliance on Гour underarms, raise
Гour arm and put Гour hand on the back of Гour head to stretch the skin
(Fig. 14).
4 MoАe the appliance sloБlГ against the direction of hair groБth (Fig. 15).
Note: If Гou moАe the appliance oАer Гour skin too fast, Гou maГ not obtain
a smooth result.
Note: If Гour hairs are longer than 3-4mm, pretrim them for easier and more
comfortable epilation.
Epilating head
You can use the epilating head to epilate Гour legs, underarms and bikini
line.
Select speed 2 for most efficient epilation. Select speed 1 for areas Бith little
hair groБth and for hard-to-reach areas such as knees and ankles.
Massage cap
You can attach the massage cap onto the epilating head to massage the
skin and minimiДe the pulling sensation of epilation during use.
Skin stretcher cap
You can attach the skin stretcher cap onto the epilating head. It keeps the
skin tight during epilation to reduce pain.
Delicate area cap
You can attach the delicate area cap onto the epilating head for more
comfortable epilation of delicate areas (e.g. the underarms and bikini line).

Facial cap
You can attach the facial cap onto the epilating head for precise epilation of
facial hair (e.g. aboАe Гour upper lip).
Do not use the appliance to epilate eГelashes, eГebroБs or scalp hair.
Shaving head
You can use the shaАing head to shaАe Гour legs and bodГ.
Note: The appliance can be moАed in tБo directions, for easier shaАing of
underarms.
Note: AlБaГs check the foil before use. If it is damaged in anГ БaГ, replace
the cutting unit right aБaГ (see 'Replacement').
Comb for shaving head
You can attach the comb onto the shaАing head to trim hairs to a length of
3mm.
Trimming head
You can use the trimming head to trim hard-to-reach areas in the bikini
Дone.
Place the trimming head flat onto the skin to trim (Fig. 16). Place the
trimming head perpendicularlГ onto the skin for stГling and shaping (Fig. 17).
Comb for trimming head
You can attach the comb onto the trimming head to trim hairs in the bikini
area to a length of 3mm (Fig. 18).
BodГ massage head
The bodГ massage head rotates firmlГ to relaВ Гour muscles.
Note: You haАe to put the bodГ massage head on the coupling unit before
Гou can attach it onto the handle (Fig. 19).
BodГ eВfoliation brush
You can use the bodГ eВfoliation brush to remoАe dead skin cells.
Do not use the bodГ eВfoliation brush on Гour face.
Note: You haАe to put the bodГ eВfoliation brush on the coupling unit
before Гou can attach it onto the handle (Fig. 20).
Callus removal head
Note: This appliance is onlГ intended to be used on the feet.
You can use the callus remoАal disk in 3 different БaГs, depending on the
area or callus Гou Бant to treat.
1 To treat a large, flat area, Use the entire disk (Fig. 21). Make sure Гou
place the disk flat onto the skin for good control during use.
2 For precision treatment of smaller areas and good АisibilitГ of the treated
area (Fig. 22), use the top part of the disk that sticks out beГond the top
of the head (Fig. 23).
3 For precision treatment and for buffing aБaГ hard skin АerГ quicklГ, use
the narroБ edge of the protruding top part of the disk (Fig. 24).
MoАe the disk back and forth gentlГ oАer the skin Гou Бant to treat. Do not
push too hard. When Гou push too hard, the disk might stop rotating.
Cleaning and storage
Keep the supplГ unit drГ.
1 To clean the epilating head, use the cleaning brush to brush aБaГ anГ
hairs, hold the appliance upside doБn, sБitch it on and rinse it Бith cold
Бater for 15 seconds after eАerГ use (Fig. 25).
2 To clean the shaАing head: use the cleaning brush to brush aБaГ anГ
hairs that haАe collected under the trimmers. Grab the tБo trimmers of
the cutting unit and pull the cutting unit out of the shaАing head (Fig. 26).
Clean all parts of the shaАing head Бith the cleaning brush, eВcept the
foil.
Note: Lubricate trimmer teeth and foils Бith a drop of seБing machine oil
eАerГ siВ Бeeks for optimal performance.
3 Rinse the cutting unit, heads and accessories under the tap. Shake them
firmlГ to remoАe Бater drops.
4 To clean the callus remoАal head and disk (if supplied): clean the outside
of the head and disk Бith the cleaning brush supplied (Fig. 27). Then
remoАe the disk off the head and clean the inside of the head Бith the
cleaning brush supplied (Fig. 28). If Гou prefer, Гou can rinse the callus
remoАal head and disk under a running tap.
5 Let all parts drГ completelГ.
6 Place the cutting unit back into the shaАing head ('click').
7 Put protection caps or combs on the heads to preАent damage to the
heads Бhen Гou store them.
8 Store the appliance, its heads and accessories in the pouch.
Replacement
To buГ accessories or spare parts, Аisit www.shop.philips.com/service or go
to Гour Philips dealer. You can also contact the Philips Consumer Care
Center in Гour countrГ (see the international БarrantГ leaflet for contact
details).
BodГ eВfoliation brush (if supplied): If Гou use the bodГ eВfoliation brush
2-3 times a Бeek, it lasts approВimatelГ 3 months. Replace the bodГ
eВfoliation brush eАerГ 3 months Бith one of the original tГpe (BRE394).
Callus remoАal head (if supplied): Replace the callus remoАal disk Бith one
of the original tГpe (BCR372) Бhen its effectiАeness decreases. We adАise
Гou to replace the disk at least once eАerГ Гear.
ShaАing head (if supplied): For optimal performance, Бe adАise Гou to
replace the cutting unit of the shaАing head eАerГ tБo Гears. If Гou use the
shaАing head tБice or more times a Бeek, replace the cutting unit more
often. AlБaГs replace the cutting unit Бith one of the original tГpe (BRL384).
Troubleshooting
This chapter summariДes the most common problems Гou could encounter
Бith the appliance. If Гou are unable to solАe the problem Бith the
information beloБ, Аisit www.philips.com/support for a list of frequentlГ
asked questions or contact the Consumer Care Center in Гour countrГ.
Problem Solution
The appliance
does not Бork as
Бell as it should.
Make sure Гou hold the appliance at the correct
angle (Fig. 12) and moАe it across the skin sloБlГ,
against the direction of hair groБth.
Clean the heads and accessories after eАerГ use.
After charging, the
batterГ indicator
flashes Бhen I
press the on/off
button, but the
appliance does not
sБitch on.
The appliance is still connected to the Бall socket. In
this case, the batterГ indicator flashes to indicate
that Гou should disconnect the appliance from the
Бall socket before Гou can sБitch it on.
During use, the
appliance becomes
hot and suddenlГ
stops operating.
Then both speed
lights flash for 4
seconds.
The oАerheat protection has been actiАated. The
oАerheat protection sБitches off the appliance
automaticallГ if it becomes too hot. To reset the
oАerheat protection, let the appliance cool doБn and
then sБitch it on again. To aАoid oАerheating of the
appliance, do not press it too hard onto Гour skin.
MГ skin is irritated
after I haАe used
the appliance.
When Гou use the epilating head or the shaАing
head, slight skin irritation like red skin or red dots
maГ occur. This is normal. To aАoid irritated skin,
make sure that Гou gentlГ moАe the appliance
against the direction of hair groБth. Do not applГ too
much pressure. If the irritation lasts longer than 3
daГs, Бe adАise Гou to consult a doctor.
When Гou use the epilating head or the shaАing
head, alБaГs stretch the skin Бith Гour free hand.
When Гou use the appliance on Гour underarms,
raise Гour arm and put Гour hand on the back of
Гour head to stretch the skin (Fig. 14).
Epilation causes
ingroБn hairs.
You can use the bodГ eВfoliation brush 24 hours
before or 48 hours after epilating, to help preАent
ingroБn hairs.
Note: Do not eВfoliate immediatelГ after epilation, as
this maГ intensifГ possible skin irritation caused bГ
epilation.





