Introduction
Thank you for choosing a shaker from Phoenix Instrument. Please read these operating
instructions carefully and pay particular attention to the safety instructions.
Warranty
We guarantee that this appliance is free from manufacturing and material defects and grant
a warranty of 2 years (from date of invoice) under normal use and service. If the unit is
tampered with outside our workshop or after-sales service, any warranty claim will be void.
Service
If you need help, our workshop is always at your disposal. Send the unit to your supplier or
directly to us.
Please note the following:
Make sure the packaging is sturdy
Enclose the copy of the original invoice
State exact address, name, department, telephone and e-mail

1. Safety instructions
Connect only to earthed sockets/plugs (Schuko !)
Read the operating instructions carefully
Wear protective clothing/glasses as required by the property
Only place the unit on a free and level surface
Do not work with the unit in explosive atmospheres and do not work under water
Work with pathogenic liquids only with closed vessels
Do not use defective parts
The unit can only be disconnected from the mains by pulling out the mains plug
The unit may only be opened by qualified personnel (electricians, etc.).
Do not place near magnetic fields
2. Correct use
This device is designed for mixing liquids in professional use such as universities, laboratories
or schools. It is not suitable for private or domestic use.

3. First check
3.1 Unpacking
When unpacking, check the unit for damage. If the outer packaging is damaged,
inform/complain to your carrier immediately. If only the unit is damaged - your supplier.
Caution - do not connect a damaged unit.
3.2 Scope of delivery
The RS-OS 6 is supplied with the following parts:
1 piece shaker with power supply and operation manual
1 piece bowl attachment with retaining rings

Please place the shaker on a flat work surface.

Switch on the shaker using the power switch on the back of the unit.
The unit performs a self-test.
Press the "Mode button" and select the speed or time.
Press the "+ / - buttons" and set the desired speed and time.

Press the "Start/Stop - Button", the appliance starts the shaking process.
Press the "Start/Stop button" again, the appliance stops operating.
