Congratulations on choosing the Click’nTalk from
Phonak. Click’nTalk enables the wireless transfer of a
telephone call directly to a wide range of Phonak
hearing instruments in digital sound quality and to
both ears simultaneously.
Click’nTalk offers high speech quality from your mobile
phone to your hearing instruments.
Please read this manual carefully to benefit from all
the features of your Click’nTalk. Ask your hearing care
professional if you have any questions.

Attach Click’nTalk gently to the audio plug . The plug
position and appearance may vary depending on the
mobile phone model.
After a few seconds a headset icon appears
on the mobile phone screen. Make sure you select
the “wired headset” from the mobile phone’s
menu if necessary.
For transportation, unplug Click’nTalk.
Hold Click’nTalk with two fingers and gently pull
the device from the audio plug .
Before making a call, always ensure Click’nTalk
is firmly attached.

Using your phone
Use the mobile phone buttons
to accept, make and end calls .
Enable the key- and ringtones
for faster connection to
the hearing instruments.
Move the mobile phone into normal
talking position . The hearing
instruments will automatically switch
to phone mode within 2 seconds.
To switch back the hearing instruments into normal
hearing mode, simply put Click’nTalk out of reach
(> 40cm/16’’) from the hearing instruments.
To prevent you disconnecting from the phone mode too
quickly the hearing instruments stay in the phone
mode for 13 seconds once Click’nTalk is out of reach.
The maximum distance of the Click’nTalk to both your
hearing instruments should not exceed 25cm/9’’ during
the call. You may encounter drops in the signal when
moving the mobile phone (e.g. changing the ear) this
is normal and does not affect the connection to your
conversation partner.



Muting the microphone
Muting or un-muting the microphone is done in the
same way as for a mobile phone wired headset. Please
refer to your mobile phone user manual for details.
Combination of Click’nTalk with other devices
Click’nTalk is designed to exclusively work with your
Phonak hearing instruments. Simultaneous usage
with other devices such as iCom or neck loops is not
recommended.
Battery
Click’nTalk is powered through the plug directly and
will reduce the standby time of the mobile phone
by approximately 10%. For longer standby time of the
mobile phone, unplug Click’nTalk when not in use.
Before charging your mobile phone, remove Click’nTalk
from the plug.

Important information
Clean Click’nTalk using a damp cloth. Never use
cleaning products or alcohol.
Protect Click’nTalk from excessive moisture, heat,
excessive shock and vibration.
– Do not touch the pins of the plug and protect
the microphone opening and connector from dirt
and debris.
Keep this device out of reach of children under
3 years.
People using medical devices such as pacemakers
are not permitted to use this device.
The digitally-coded, inductive transmission
technology used in this device is extremely reliable
and experiences virtually no interference from other
devices. It should be noted, however, that when
operating the device near a computer terminal or
other strong electromagnetic fields, it may be
necessary to be at least 60 cm (24”) away to ensure
proper operation.
X-ray radiation, CT or MRI scans may destroy or
adversely affect the correct functioning of this
device. Do not use this device in locations where it
is forbidden to use electronic devices.
If the sound quality is not satisfactory your hearing
care professional may be able to improve this.

– Do not make any changes or modifications to
this device.
Opening Click’nTalk will damage it. If problems
occur which cannot be resolved by following the
guidelines in this user guide consult your hearing
care professional. Click’nTalk may only be repaired
by an authorized service center.
In areas with weak GSM coverage, the mobile
phone might induce interference signals causing
some noise in the hearing instruments.
Connecting to wrong mobile phone models could
harm the mobile phone or Click’nTalk.

Gently plug or unplug the device. Inappropriate
force may damage the device.
The plug  may look different depending on the
Click’nTalk model.

Verbinden Sie den Click’nTalk vorsichtig mit dem Audio-
steckverbinder . Position und Aussehen des Steck-
verbinders können je nach Mobiltelefonmodell variieren.
Nach einigen Sekunden wird im Display des Mobiltele-
fons ein Kopfhörersymbol angezeigt. Stellen Sie
sicher, dass Sie ggf. die Option «Wired Headset» (Ver-
kabelter Kopfhörer) im Menü des Mobiltelefons aus-
gewählt haben.
Entfernen Sie für den Transport den Steckverbinder
vom Click’nTalk. Halten Sie das Click’nTalk vorsich-
tig zwischen zwei Fingern und ziehen Sie das Gerät
vom Audiosteckverbinder ab.
Stellen Sie vor einem Telefonat stets sicher, dass
das Click’nTalk fest angebracht ist.

Nutzung Ihres Telefons
Verwenden Sie die Tasten am
Mobiltelefon, um Anrufe anzunehmen,
zu tätigen und zu beenden .
Aktivieren Sie die Tasten- und Klingeltöne
für eine schnellere Verbindung mit den
Hörsystemen.
Führen Sie das Mobiltelefon in die
normale Sprechposition . Die Hörsys-
teme wechseln innerhalb von zwei
Sekunden automatisch in den Telefonmodus.
Um die Hörsysteme wieder zurück in den normalen
Hörmodus zu schalten, bewegen Sie das Click’nTalk
einfach außer Reichweite (> 40 cm) der Hörsysteme.
Um zu verhindern, dass Sie den Telefonmodus zu schnell
verlassen, verbleiben die Hörsysteme noch 13 Sekunden,
nachdem Sie das Click’nTalk außer Reichweite bewegt
haben, im Telefonmodus.
Der Höchstabstand des Click’nTalk zu Ihren beiden
Hörsystemen darf während des Gesprächs 25 cm nicht
überschreiten. Wenn Sie das Mobiltelefon bewegen,
erleben Sie möglicherweise Signalabfälle (z. B. eine



Veränderung im Ohr). Dies ist normal und beeinträch-
tigt die Verbindung zu Ihrem Gesprächspartner nicht.
Stummschalten des Mikrofons
Die Stummschaltung bzw. die Aufhebung der Stumm-
schaltung des Mikrofons erfolgt auf dieselbe Weise
wie für einen verkabelten Mobiltelefonkopfhörer. Nähere
Einzelheiten dazu finden Sie im Benutzerhandbuch
Ihres Mobiltelefons.
Kombination von Click’nTalk mit anderen Geräten
Click’nTalk wurde exklusiv für das Zusammenwirken
mit Ihren Hörsystemen von Phonak konzipiert. Die
gleichzeitige Nutzung anderer Geräte, wie iCom oder
Induktionsschleifen, wird nicht empfohlen.
Batterie
Click’nTalk wird direkt über den Steckverbinder mit
Spannung versorgt, wodurch sich die Standby-Zeit
des Mobiltelefons um etwa 10 % verringert. Für eine
längere Standby-Zeit des Mobiltelefons ziehen Sie
das Click’nTalk ab, wenn es nicht benutzt wird.
Entfernen Sie Click’nTalk vom Steckverbinder, bevor
Sie Ihr Mobiltelefon laden.

Wichtige Informationen
Reinigen Sie das Click’nTalk mit einem feuchten Tuch.
Verwenden Sie nie Reinigungsprodukte oder Alkohol.
Schützen Sie Click’nTalk vor übermäßiger Feuchtigkeit
sowie starken Stößen und Erschütterungen.
Berühren Sie die Stifte des Steckverbinders nicht und
schützen Sie die Mikrofonöffnung und den Steckver-
binder vor Verunreinigungen und Rückständen.
Bewahren Sie dieses Gerät außer Reichweite von
Kindern unter drei Jahren auf.
Menschen mit Medizingeräten, wie Herzschrittma-
chern, dürfen dieses Gerät nicht verwenden.
Die digital codierte induktive Übertragungstechnolo-
gie, die in diesem Gerät verwendet wird, ist äußerst
zuverlässig und empfängt nahezu keine Interferenz
von anderen Geräten. Es muss jedoch darauf hinge-
wiesen werden, dass – wenn das Hörsystem in Nähe
einer Computerstation oder anderen starken magneti-
schen Feldern verwendet wird – für ein einwandfreies
Funktionieren mindestens ein Abstand von 60 cm ein-
gehalten werden muss.
Röntgenstrahlen, wie z. B. CT- oder MRT-Aufnahmen,
können das einwandfreie Funktionieren Ihrer Hörsys-
teme beeinträchtigen. Verwenden Sie dieses Gerät
nicht an Orten, wo elektronische Hilfsmittel verboten
sind.

Wenn die Klangqualität unbefriedigend ist, kann sie
möglicherweise durch Ihren Hörakustiker verbessert
werden.
Nehmen Sie an diesem Gerät keine Änderungen oder
Modifikationen vor.
Durch das Öffnen des Click’nTalk nimmt das Gerät
Schaden. Wenn Probleme auftreten, die sich durch die
Befolgung der Richtlinien in dieser Gebrauchsanwei-
sung nicht beheben lassen, wenden Sie sich an Ihren
Hörakustiker. Click’nTalk darf nur durch ein autori-
siertes Service-Center repariert werden.
In Gegenden mit einer schwachen GSM Abdeckung
kann das Mobiltelefon Interferenzsignale induzieren,
die zu einem Rauschen in den Hörsystemen führen
können.
Durch einen Anschluss an den falschen Mobiltele-
fonen kann das jeweilige Mobiltelefon oder das
Click’nTalk Schaden nehmen.
Unter http://clickntalk.phonak.com/ finden Sie eine
Liste der unterstützten Mobiltelefone.
Schließen Sie das Gerät vorsichtig an bzw. ziehen
Sie den Stecker vorsichtig ab. Bei übermäßiger Kraft-
einwirkung kann das Gerät Schaden nehmen.
