INTRODUCTION
Congratulations on your purchase of the ZA200B mixer amplier
from Phonic. The ZA200B offers users with an easy and exible
solution to contractors and engineers alike to easily incorporate
a host of possible sources into two zones. Output connection is
varied, allowing both ¼” phone jack and screw-terminals to be
used, depending on the application. A USB playback module is on
to allow incorporation of MP3 or WAV les to the device.
Please take the time to read this manual thoroughly before use.
Inside you will nd useful hints and safety tips to ensure the unit
is used correctly. Once read, please store in an easy-to-nd place
so as to ensure you can nd it at a later date.

GETTING STARTED
1. Before turning the power on, the Master output control should
be set to -∞.
2. Always turn the power off before connecting or disconnecting
cables.
3. Check the AC outlet to ensure it is of a suitable voltage before
connecting the AC plug of this device.
4. Do not obstruct the back panel due to the heat sink and air
vents needing ventilation.
5. Please ensure the distance between the back of the ZA200B
and the wall is over 1.5 feet to ensure the device gets the
ventilation which it needs.
USB PLAYBACK
1. Connect a USB ash drive with MP3 or WAV les to the USB
port on the ZA200B.
2. Wait a couple of seconds for the unit to initialize the drive.
3. Push the Play button to start playback of the les on the USB
drive.
4. Playback will start from the rst le, where les are played in
alphanumerical order.
5. Use the AUX/USB volume control to adjust the level of signal
sent from the USB player.
5. Stop playback at any time by pushing the Stop / Menu button.
Please note that the maximum bitrate possible for playback of
tracks is 320kbit/second.

CONTROLS AND CONNECTIONS
Front Panel Description
1. Microphone Input
This ¼” TS connectors are for the addition of microphone signals
to channel 1 of the ZA200B. Users can also use the Combo jacks
on the rear of the device.
2. Level Controls
These level controls adjust the incoming signal level from the
microphone and line input jacks.
3. Treble Control
This control allows users to boost or cut the level of high frequency
audio that will be offered in the main signal.
4. Bass Control
The bass control allows users to boost or cut the level of low
frequency audio in the main signal.
5. Volume Control
This control will adjust the nal output level of the ZA200B.
6. Talkback Button
This button will give priority to the microphone signals from input
channel 1. When activated, anytime the microphone connected
to channel 1 is used all other signals will dip down by 25 dB to
give priority to the mic. The signal will return to normal 2 seconds
after you stop speaking through the microphone.
7. Alert & Announce Buttons
These two buttons will send an alert or an announce tone through
to the speakers. The Alert button can also be used to activate
a siren, the length of which will be 2 minutes and 30 seconds.
Pushing the Alert button a second time will disengage the siren.
The ‘’announce’ button will active a 3 second ‘do mi so do’ tone
to indicate an announcement. Activating either of these tones will
cut out all music and other input sources.
8. Zone 1 and 2 Buttons
These buttons determine the destination of the mixer’s input
signals. Pushing zone 1 will send the signal to the zone 1 screw
terminal outputs on the rear, and pushing zone 2 will send the
signal to the zone 2 screw terminal outputs.
9. Back/Forward Buttons
Pushing these buttons will allow users to skip back and forwards
between tracks in sequence.
10. Play Button
Push this button to start and pause playback of the currently
displayed track. Starting a track after it is paused will resume the
track from the point at which it was paused.
11. Stop / Menu Button
This button will allow users to stop playback on currently playing
tracks. Push and hold the button to access the menu, allowing the
repeat status of playback to be changed between repeat none,
repeat one, repeat all and track shufe.
12. Display
This display will display the track number currently being played
and the time current play time. It also indicates the current
playback status.
13. USB Port
Connect your USB ash drive to this input. Once a drive is
connected, the les will initiate and the rst track will appear
paused on screen. Phonic recommends that you format your USB
drives with a FAT-32 le system.
14. VU Meter
This meter will display the ZA200B’s output signal level.
15 Tape Input
These stereo RCA inputs can be used to connect external devices
to the ZA200B. These may include CD players, MP3 players or
laptop computers. Also included are 1/8” mini-stereo inputs for
more versatile installation.
16. Tape Input Control
This control adjusts the incoming signal level from the RCA tape
input connectors. This also controls the incoming signal from the
ZA200B’s USB player.
17. Line Output
These RCA connectors will send the main signal out to external
input devices. This could include secondary mixers, recording
devices or additional ampliers/speakers.
18. Power Button
This button is pushed to turn the device on and off.

Rear Panel Description
19. Combo Inputs
These ‘combo’ jacks allow connection of both ¼” TS and XLR
inputs, appropriate for use with microphones. These inputs are
found on input channels one through three.
20. Line-level Input
The ZA200B offers two channels for line-level inputs. Channel 4
has ¼” TRS and stereo RCA connectors, while channel 5 has 1/8”
mini-stereo and RCA connectors. These can be used with most
consumer and professional audio equipment.
21. Screw Terminal Speaker Outputs
These connections are used for output to speakers. They offer
100V line output for both zones 1 and 2, as well as two additional
terminals for 4 ohm connectivity.
22. Link Output
These ¼” TS connectors will send the main signal out to external
input devices. This could include secondary mixers, recording
devices or additional ampliers/speakers.
23. Link Input
These ¼” TS connectors will accept input signals from external
sources. This could include secondary mixers or playback devices.
24. Sig Link Button
The Signal Link button is used to decide whether the main signal
of the ZA200B will combine both the source signals from input
channels and the signal from the link input jack. When the Signal
Link button is released, signals will be combined, whereas when
the button is pushed in the main signal of ZA200B will be that of
the link input only.
25. Power Cable
This power cable should be connected to a suitable AC power
source in order to operate the ZA200B.
26. Fuse
Turn this fuse holder to release the fuse enclosure. In the event that
a fuse burns, users can replace it with another identical 2 amp fuse.
27. 24V Battery Input
These banana-plug input connectors can be connected to the
positive and negative terminals of a 24V DC power source. This
allows the unit to function even in the event of power outages.
Also included is a battery recharge switch that will allow the battery
to be charged. Phonic suggests that this switch be kept in the off
position unless recharging the battery

INTRODUCCIÓN
¡Felicitaciones! por la compra de la amplicadora mezclador
ZA200B de Phonic. El ZA200B ofrece a los usuarios, la facilidad y
exibilidad de solución a contratistas e ingenieros con la facilidad
de majenar fuentes de posibilidades en dos zonas. Conexión
de salidas es variable, permitiendo el uso de ¼” phone jack y
terminales de clema, dependiendo de la aplicación. Un modulo
de reproductor USB abordo perminte la incorporación de archivos
MP3 y WAV al dispositivo.
Favor de tomarse el tiempo de leer esta manual detalladamente

COMENZANDO
1. Antes de encenderlo, el control de salida Master debe estar
congurada a -∞.
2. Siempre apagar la unidad antes de conectarlo o desconectar

Reproducción USB

CONTROLES Y CONEXIONES
Descripción del Panel Frontal
1. Entrada de Micrófono
Estos conectores ¼” TS son para el añadido de micrófonos al
ZA200B.
2. Controles de Nivel
Estos controles de nivel regulan el nivel de señal entrante desde
el micrófono y de línea de entrada de jacks.
3. Control de Treble
Este contro le ajustarán la señal EFZ de salida a la fusión
central.
4. Control de Bass
Este control de bass permite al usuario en incrementar o aternuar
el nivel de baja audio frecuencia en la señal central.
5. Control de Volumen
Este control ajustará el nivel de salida nal del ZA200B.
6 .Botón Talkback
Este botón dará prioridad a las señales del micrófono de un canal
de entrada. Cuando se activa, cada vez que el micrófono este
conectado al canal 1 todas las demás señales bajarán hasta 25
dB para dar prioridad a la micro. La señal volverá a la normalidad
2 segundos después de dejar de hablar por el micrófono.
7. Botones de Alerta y Anunciados
Estos dos botones enviarán un tono de alerta o aunciado mediante
de los altavoces. El botón de alerta puede ser usado para activar
la sirena, la duración de lo cual será 2 minutos a 30 segundos.
Presionando el botón de Alerta a segundo tiempo será soltado
de la sirena. El botón de ¨anunciado¨ será activa a 3 segundos
en tonos de ¨do mi so do¨ para indicar un anunciado. Activando

8. Botones de Zona 1 y Zona 2
Estos botones determinan la destinación de la señal de la
mezcladora. Precionando zona 1 enviará la señal a la salida del
terminal clema de zona 1 en la parte posterior, y precionando
zona 2 enviará la señal de salidas del terminal crema a zona 2.
9. Botones de Retorno (Back) y Adelantar (Foward)
Precionando estos botones permitirán a los usuarios en volver y
acelerar entre las secuencias de pistas.
10. Botón de reproducción (Play)
Active este botón para comenzar y pausar reproducciones de la
pista actualmente activada. Comenzando una pista tras de ser

12.Pantalla

13.Puerta USB

conectada, el archivo será inciado y la primera pista aparecerá
pausada en la pantalla.
14.Indicador VU
Este indicador le mostrará el nivel de señal de salida del ZA200B.
15.Entrada Tape
Estas entradas de estéreo RCA pueden ser usadas para conectar
dispositivos externos al ZA200B. Estos pueden ser reproductores
de CD, MP3 o computadoras portátiles.También incluye entradas
mini-estéreo 1/8” para más instalaciones versátiles.
16.Contro de Entrada Tape
Este control ajusta el nivel de señal de entrada desde los

Descripción del Panel Posterior
19. Combo de Entradas
Estos ¨combo¨ jacks permite conexiones de ambas entradas 1/4””
TS y XLR, apropiado para usos con micrófonos. Estas entradas

20. Botón Sig Link (Señal Enlace)
El botón de Señal Enlace es usado para decidir si la señal central
de ZA200B será combinada con ambas fuentes de señales
desde los canales de entrada y las señal desde las entradas de
enlace jack. Cuando el botón de Señal de Enlace es soltado, las
señales serán combinadas, mientras que cuando el botón es

24. Sig Botón de Enlace

25. Cable de Fuente

26. Fusible

con otro fusible identico de 2 amp.
26. Entrada de Bateria 24V
Esta entrada de conectores banana-plug puede ser conectada a
terminales positivas y negativas de 24V DC fuente de potencia.
Esto permite que la unidad funcione hasta en eventos de
sobrecargas de potencia.
También incluye un interruptor de cargardor para bateria que
permite la recarga de bateria. Phonic le sugiere que este
interruptor esté en posición de apagado (off) al menos que este
recargando la bateria.
