Intel® Celeron® J1900 4 LAN 3G/4G HD Fanless Firewall Router MNHO-043

The PICO PC 4 LAN fanless firewall router security gateway appliance, featuring the quad-

core Intel® Celeron® Processor J1900 with Intel® HD graphics. It can be used as a security

gateway to act as a virtual private network and network firewalls. You can add multiple

LAN's or multiple WLAN's to your network, each segmented for maximum security and

configurability.

High performance & perfect for edge policy stations, network servers, LAN or WAN router,

VPN appliance, DHCP Server, DNS Server and can be configured as a firewall either open-

source or commercial, for example; pfSense, Untangle, Endian, Smoothwall, ClearOS,

m0n0wall etc. This appliance also supports windows 7/8/10. It combines a robust

industrial-grade performance and the advantages of network security management, can

be widely used in virtual private networks, traffic control, network firewalls or other network

applications.

4x intel GbE LAN, USB2.0 & USB 3.0 and dual display including HDMI and VGA powered by

Intel® HD Graphics. Support 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and WWAN 3G & 4G LTE (optional).

Compatible with windows 7/8/10, Linux & firewalls etc. Support up to 8GB SODIMM DDR3L

1.35 low voltage memory and dual storage drives including mSATA SSD and 2.5" SATA

SSD/HDD.

2.2 OPENING THE CASE

There are 4 screws (2 screws on each sides) for holding the case cover. By unscrewing

these screws, you can remove the case cover to add or remove SSD, memory etc.

Please follow the below image to unscrew the cover. Please don’t over-tighten the screws,

it causes damage the screw holes.

PONDESK PICO PC 4 LAN Firewall router equipped with low power Nano-ITX (12*12 cm)

industrial motherboard with Onboard Baytrail series quad-core J1900 processor.

The following figure shows the top interfaces of the motherboard. In the process of

installation of the device must be careful for some part, if not properly installed, it will not

work properly.

3.2 PROCESSOR

The system is equipped with onboard Intel® Celeron® Processor

J1900 (2M Cache, 2.42 GHz) processor powered by the Intel® Bay

Trail series chipset. Features Intel® HD graphics.

3.3 MEMORY

There is one SO-DIMM slot, which supports up to 8GB of DDR3L SODIMM 204Pins 1.35V low

voltage memory.

NOTE: The system doesn’t support ECC & 1.5V DDR3 memory, always use non-ECC 1.35V DDR3L memory.

3.3.1 Installation

Step 1: Turn off the system before installing and removing the memory.

Step 2: Align the notch and insert the memory module into the socket at a slight 30-40°

angle relative to the memory slot.

Step 3: Push down the memory until it slips down and properly seated into the socket.

3.4 STORAGE

The system supports dual storage drives including 1 x mSATA SSD & 1 x 2.5" 7mm SATA

SSD/HDD.

3.4.1 mSATA SSD

Turn off the machine and remove the chassis cover.

Locate mSATA socket (refer to the image on page 15) on the motherboard and align the

notches of the SSD with mSATA socket and insert it.

After that screw it according to the below illustrations.

3.4.2 2.5” SATA SSD/HDD

PICO PC also support 1 x 2.5” SATA SSD OR 2.5” SATA HDD (7mm) secondary storage.

To add 2.5” SSD in the machine, first remove the case cover and locate the SSD/HDD holes.

(please refer to page # 12 & 13)

First attach SSD/HDD with the case cover by the 4 screws and then connect the SATA data

& power cable with the machine. As shown in below image.

3.5 Wi-Fi & 3G/4G

The system supports wireless or 3G/4G LTE networks.

There is one mini PCIe slot for WiFi or 3G/4G LTE module.

3.5.1 Wi-Fi

PICO PC comes with 802.11 b/g/n 2.4GHz half mini PCI-E

wireless card. (Up to 150Mbps)

3.5.2 3G/4G LTE

System support 3G/4G LTE networks. There is 6pin SIM interface for WWAN connectivity.
