WARNING:
This appliance is double insulated.
Do not connect any wire to the earth terminal.
Wiring safety for UK use only
IMPORTANT
As the colours in the mains lead of this appliance
may not correspond with the coloured markings
identifying the terminals in your plug, please
proceed as follows:
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in
accordance with the following code:
Blue neutral [N] Brown live [L]
Plug Fitting Details (Where Applicable).
The wire coloured blue is the neutral and must
be connected to the terminal marked [N] or
coloured black.
The wire coloured brown is the live wire and
must be connected to the terminal marked [L] or
coloured red.
On no account must either the brown or the blue
wire be connected to the [EARTH] terminal .
Always ensure that the cord grip is fastened
correctly.
The plug must be tted with a fuse of the same
rating already tted and conforming to BS 1362
and be ASTA approved.
If in doubt consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
Non-Rewireable Mains Plug
If your appliance is supplied with a non-
rewireable plug tted to the mains lead and
should the fuse need replacing, you must use an
ASTA approved one (conforming to BS 1362 of
the same rating).
If in doubt, consult a qualied electrician who will
be pleased to do this for you.
If you need to remove the plug – disconnect
it from the mains – and then cut it o of the
mains lead and immediately dispose of it in a
safe manner. Never attempt to reuse the plug or
insert it into a socket outlet as there is a danger
of an electric shock.

blanket.
• DO NOT tuck the heated
part of material under the
mattress.
• DO NOT use if the blanket is
wet.
• CAUTION! DO NOT plug the
blanket it when is wet.
• Avoid pressing creases or
folds into the blanket.
• CAUTION! DO NOT tumble
dry.
• Air dry the blanket at. DO
NOT fold when wet.
• DO NOT switch on if the
blanket is folded, creased or
rucked.
• DO NOT coil or lay the lead
on the blanket.
• The blanket is NOT intended
for medical use in hospitals.
• WARNING! When storing the
appliance, allow it to cool
down before folding.
• In the unlikely event the
appliance develops a fault,
stop using it immediately
and seek advice from the
Customer Support Team.

BEFORE YOUR FIRST USE:
1. Open the box carefully – Do not use a sharp object as you could damage the cabinet of the
blanket.
2. Remove from the box and take it out of the plastic bag – Ensure the bag is disposed of carefully
as it could be a danger to children if they play with it.
3. When plugged into the mains ensure that the mains cable is tidied away so as not to become
a hazard whereby people could trip over it and ensure it is not near to the heat outlet of the
heater.
4. The cable must not be covered.
Dispose of the packaging in a responsible manner.

FITTING INSTRUCTIONS:
Note: This product can be used with any
type of bedding including waterproof bed
protectors. Use only as an under blanket and
do not use above the occupant of the bed.
Your tted electric blanket will have an elastic
skirt sewn into the blanket.
1. Place the electric blanket on the bed with
the controller at the pillow end with the
connector facing upwards.
2. Smooth out the folds and wrinkles of the
blanket. Then secure the elastic skirt over
each of the bed’s four corners.
3. Once the blanket is secure check for
any kinks in the power cord or heating
elements and smooth them out.
WARNING! When you position the cable, make
sure it DOES NOT become trapped or kinked
by any other objects or furniture during use and
storage. Poor positioning of the power cable
may result in injury and/or damage to the user
and their property.
CAUTION! Ensure the blanket is not folded or
creased.
USING YOUR APPLIANCE
• Ensure the blanket is tted to the bed
correctly, see diagram opposite
• Plug the power lead into the closest
socket. Ensure that the lead is not
stretched. DO NOT use an extension cord
with this appliance.
Preheating The Bed
• Move the heat setting on the control
switch to heat level 2 or 3, depending on
the level of the heat required.
• Allow approximately 60-90 minutes
for the blanket to heat the bed
thoroughly,although this time may vary
depending on the room temperature and
type of bedding used.
• In cold weather, all electric blankets
will take longer to heat the bed to a
comfortable temperature. Please allow
for this.
All Night Use
Note: Blankets are safe to be used all night.
However we recommend using the heat setting
below.
• Move the heat setting on the control
switch to heat level 1. This setting will
provide safe and comfortable heat to
sleep on all night. This setting can be
used to air the bed.
WARNING: Always ensure that the slider switch
is moved to the OFF position when you get up
the next day, or after airing the bed.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
• Machine washable at 40°C.
• IMPORTANT: Remove the power lead
before washing the blanket.
• Do not tumble dry.
• Air dry the blanket at. Do not fold when
wet.
• Do NOT plug the blanket in until it is
completely dry.
• To store, fold carefully and place back into
the original packaging.
• Do NOT crease the appliance by placing
items on top of it during storage.
• During the summer, the blanket can be
used to air the mattress.
• We would recommend that regular
inspections are undertaken to ensure that
there is no damage to the blanket or the
controller or the plug if damage is found
we would recommend that the blanket
is not used and is taken for test and
inspection by a suitably qualied person.
DISPOSAL OF THE UNIT
Appliances bearing the symbol shown here may
not be disposed of in domestic rubbish. You are
required to dispose of old electrical and electronic
appliances like this separately.
