eterneedletomovefromcruiseto1500RPM.Lookatthehorizonandcowlingasyouuseperipheral
vision.Adjustcontrolpressuretoavoidnosefromdroppingandadjustruddertokeeptheheading
constant.

trolsaltitude.Rememberthepitchattitudewhichgivesyou41kt.
Climb
Applyfullpower.Adjustpitchtomaintaintheairspeed.Addrightruddertomaintaintheheading.Forlevel
off,reducepowernecessarytomaintainthealtitude.Adjustpitchtomaintaintheairspeed.
Descent
Reducepowerasnecessary.Adjustpitchtomaintaintheairspeed.Reducerightruddertomaintainthehead-
ing.Forleveloff,addpowernecessarytomaintainthealtitude.Adjustpitchtomaintaintheairspeed.Add
rightruddertocompensatetheleftturningtendency.
Turn
Use10degreesbank.Fortherightturn,youneedtousemorerightrudderbecauseoftheleftturningtenden-
cy.Ontheotherhand,theleftturndosenotrequiremuchleftrudder.Justreducerightrudderalittlebit.
Recovery
1. Throttle-Full,maintainthealtitude.
Addrightruddertocompensatetheleftturningtendency.Adjustpitch“gradually”tomaintainthealti-
tude.Don’tpushnosedownquickly.Pitchshouldbechangedslowlyfromslowightattitude(high)to
cruiseattitude(level).Lookatthehorizonandcowlingasyouscanthealtimeter.
