8. Carefully turn the mirror
assembly over so that the
shiny side is facing down.
Make sure that the mirror
material is still tting
through all the slots. Apply
glue along the seams at
all four corners and at the
centers of all four sides
(Figure 6).
9. Whentheglueisdry,turn
the mirror assembly over
so the mirror side is up. Slip
the solar angle gauges into
the slots at the side of the
cradle (Figure 7). The gauge
with the larger hole should
be on top. Glue in place
with cool-melt glue.
10.Unplug the glue gun.
Attach the Mirror to the Base
1. Locatethenylonwashers,nylon
spacers,6-32x1"PHPscrews,and
nylock nuts.
2. Slide a nylon washer onto the screw.
Slide this assembly through the hole
at the top of the base. Slide a nylon
spacer onto the screw and then slide
the assembly through the center
hole in the mirror assembly. Slide a
nylon washer onto the screw and
secure with a nylock nut (Figure 8).
Use needle-nose pliers to hold the
nylocknutwhiletighteningthescrew,
but take care not to overtighten. The
mirror should move easily yet stay in
various tilted positions.
3. Repeat for the other side.
