This water feature is a beautiful piece of art that requires no regular maintenance, other than periodically
cleaning the exterior glass and frame. BluGuard features are comprised of completely sealed glass panels on
the front and back, with water running down both sides. This encapsulated system is designed to prevent
environmental factors from affecting the water quality, eliminating the need for regular water treatment.
Bluworld of Water has included several documents to assist you with operations, maintenance and
troubleshooting techniques.

Thefeatureshouldbetiltedtothebaseorreservoirend.Whilesupportingbothsides,liftthetopofthefeature
untilthebottomofthebaseistouchingthefloor.Then,pivotthefeatureoffofthepalletuntilitsitsflatonthe
floor.Atthistimeallpackagingcanberemoved.

Onthetopoftheriserthereare(3)¼‐20studs.Thesecorrespondtotheholesinthebottomofthe
reservoir.Takethecoversoffthetopofthereservoirtolocatetheseholesonthebottomofthe
reservoir.
Thereare(2)holesononesideand(1)ontheother.Thiswilldeterminethedirectionyourfeaturewill
face‐placeyourriserframeaccordingtothedirectionyoupreferyourfeaturetoface.
Liftyourfeatureintoplace.Theweightofthefeaturesvaryfrombetween230lbsforthe6ftfeaturesto
575lbsforthe10ftfeatures.
oWhenliftingthefeatureyouwillneedatleast(5)people,(4)toliftand(1)toguidethefeature
ontothestudslocatedontopoftheriserframe.
Oncethefeatureisontheriserframeusinga7/16driverorwrench,securethefeaturetotheriserwith
the¼‐20flatwasher,lockwasher,andnut‐inthatorder.

oPlacefeatureininstalllocationandunwrap.
oToaccessthewatertank,removetherocktraysfromthereservoir(thesemaybescreweddown
fromshipping).Removethescrewsfromthecornersofthetray,removetraysandsetaside.
oRemovePVCfillcapwithplyers,notincluded.
oInsertafunnelintothewatertankandfillwithdistilledwater.
oAdd¼teaspoonofNon‐chlorinatedShockand(1)vileofSurfaceTensionReducer.

oRun the pump cord out of the reservoir through one of the holes in the sides of the reservoir. Plug
the pump in, you should see water flowing through the vinyl hose and then down the inside surfaces
of the feature. Allow feature to run/vent for minimum of 2 hours.
oReplace the water fill plug and make sure the 1 ½” ball valve (the red handled valve, down and
behind the water tank) is open (the red handle should be in line with the pipe)
Please note: Over the next few days the feature will continue to break in. As it breaks in, you
should be able to slow down or speed up the water flow

changethewaterregularly.Ifthefeaturemustbeturnedoffforanextendedperiodoftime,itisbestthatthe

dust,debrisorsmudges.Besuretowipeinthedirectionofthegraintoavoidputting
