SAFETY NOTICES
Risk of electric shock
Before installation, check that the supply cable and lighting are not damaged.
Connect the lighting to the mains only if it is switched off.
When connecting the plug to the mains and handling the lighting, you should always
have dry hands.
Risk of burn
Some parts of the lighting fixture may become hot; you must pay special attention.
The lighting fixture is not suitable for direct fastening to normally inflammable bases.
It is absolutely necessary to read these instructions;follow the instructions and recommendations
below. Non-observance of principles of safe use may result in electric shock, fire or death.
•Familiarise yourself with this equipment, its control, operation, elements of this equipment and potential
risks related to its incorrect use.
•Ensure that the equipment user is carefully familiarized with the control, operation and elements of this
equipment and potential risks resulting from its use.
•Always heed the safety instructions indicated on the labels. Do not remove or damage these labels.
•Keep control elements clean, legible, dry and free of oil and fat.
•Never leave the equipment in operation unattended.
•Do not use the equipment for other than the intended purpose.
•Any modifications to the equipment are forbidden. DO NOT USE it if you find a bend, crack or other
damage.
•Never maintain the equipment when in operation.
•If an unusual sound or another unusual phenomenon occurs, switch off the lighting fixture immediately.
•Provide for correct maintenance of the lighting fixture. Before use, check whether it is damaged.
•For maintenance and repairs, use original spare parts only.
•Use of additional devices or equipment not recommended by the supplier may result in injury.
•Do not overstrain, always use both hands.
•Do not work with the equipment under the influence of alcohol or addictive substances.
•If you suffer from giddiness, infirmity or faintness, do not work with the equipment.
•Children must be under the supervision of an adult person.
•The light source of this lighting fixture is not replaceable; after expiration of the lighting fixture’s service
life, the entire lighting fixture must be replaced.
•Max. ambient working temperature 25 °C.
•The lighting fixture is not intended for heavy-duty operation.

Use:
These lighting fixtures are intended for manufacturing plants, assembly workshops, laboratories,
test rooms, repair shops, training workshops and similar plants. These instructions are also
indicated in the online virtual consultancy of POLAK SMART FURNITURE, which can be accessed by
means of the QR code located on the product or at the web address www.smfu.eu
Always observe valid laws, regulations, directives and standards in the country where this electrical
equipment is used. The lighting fixtures are designed for use in interiors with a dry environment, stable
temperature and adequate humidity. Protect the equipment against the effects of water or other liquids. Do
not use them in a humid environment. The lighting fixture is not intended for heavy-duty operation. Do not
expose it to heat sources; otherwise, it may heat up excessively. Components can only be maintained,
repaired and replaced by a professional company or person conforming to legal regulations for independent
work on electrical equipment.
Installation:
The SLIMp17 lighting fixture and SLIMp58 lamp is fastened to workshop furniture in the way indicated in the
images below.

The lighting fixture is installed by placing it on a suspension strip, worktop or perforated panel, and connecting it to
the mains. Before connecting and disconnecting the plug, always check whether the appliance is switched off.
Disconnect it from the socket by pulling the plug, not the supply cable. Use the lighting cable fully unreeled. Locate
it in such a way as to prevent it kinking, being damaged or pulled off by a passing person. We recommend
connecting the equipment to a circuit with additional protection by means of a residual current circuit breaker.

Description of regulation and operation:

Buttons B:
Used for light flux regulation within the range of 30–80 %.
Automatic regulation for smooth control of the preset light conditions in the workplace
depending on the ambient light conditions.
Maximum 100 % light output; after 5 minutes, returns to the original value (80% output).
Maintenance:
On a daily basis, it is recommended to focus on a visual check of the integrity of the lighting fixture and supply
cables, remove dust and impurities from the electrical equipment’s surface, while paying attention to
maximum safety. Regular checks can only be carried out by a professional company or person conforming to
legal regulations for independent work on electrical equipment. Within these activities, check the state of
cables, tightening of connectors and remove dust and impurities, if necessary. Further, check whether any
components show signs of damage or excessive heating. After commissioning, we recommend carrying out
these checks at least once a year (or according to local regulations).
Product disposal:
The product and packaging materials contain components which may affect the environment after
decommissioning. After the end of the product’s service life, it is necessary to observe the legislation in force
for disposal of the created waste. The product consists of metal and plastic parts which can be recycled
separately after sorting.
Guarantee conditions:
The operator is obliged to follow the instructions for use indicated in this document.
Their non-observance is regarded as an infringement of the guarantee conditions.
The guarantee does not apply to parts subject to normal operational wear and tear.
