Polk Audio loudspeakers shatter the boundaries of bass response with patented PowerPort bass venting
technology. Conventional ports have limitations: air turbulence at the mouth of the port can cause “port noise”
and bass output losses of up to 3dB. (A loss of 3dB means that half of your amplifier power is being wasted on
turbulence instead of bass!) The distinctive design of the Polk Audio PowerPort gradually slows air exiting the

FEED FORWARD DISTORTION SUPPRESSION TECHNOLOGY
This technology maximizes acoustic output as it reduces audible distortion. Feed Forward is a
zero latency system that maximizes dynamic output of the subwoofer system, without relying on
slow responding feedback techniques or broad band dynamic compression, which squeeze the
life out of the low end. What you hear is quick, precise bass output with minimal audible distor-
tion, even at ground shaking volume levels.

A tremendous evolution on the original SDA Surround
Technology, Polk SurroundBar Technology brings surround
sound-without the surround speakers into the next century.
Featured only in the exclusive SurroundBar 360° DVD Theater,
Polk Audio’s legendary SDA speaker systems revolutionized
speaker technology in the mid 1980’s and 1990’s and are still
prized today by audio enthusiast for their huge, totally
enveloping sound stage far beyond the capability of
conventional speakers. Original SDA is analog while SDA
Surround Digital uses the tremendous processing capability
of digital microchips to process the audio, a far more powerful
tool then the passive components of original SDA Technology.

produced a system capable of delivering a 360°degree surround

Advanced laser imaging technology allowed Polk Audio engineers to see the entire vibrating
surface of a driver and tweeter; they could actually see the resonance develop on the speaker
cones––resonance that is the root cause loudspeaker distortion (A). Being able to see the
