powder clutch after reading the load cell, pickup sensor values.
The output includes 0 to 24 V which controls the powder brake or the powder clutch, and 0 to 10 V, 4 to 20 mA
which is auxiliary output, and there are 1 output contact points. As the input contact points, there are 3 contact
points, which can be used as hold input or pulse input depending on the setup.
Feature of the product
1)Convenient to use
●
The tension can be controlled through simple adjustment and operation (simple value setup through DIAL
operation).
●The span of the sensor setup can be simply adjusted during general operation.
●The sensor can be set through scale setup without installing a weight.
2)Addition of functions
●Load cell, pickup are possible.
●Weak excitation voltage can be set in accordance with the powder brake and clutch.
●Basic setup can be changed without entering the setup mode. (zero setup, span setup, and P·I·D Gain)
●Remote operation can be selected to be of contact point/pulse method.
●Maintenance and setup function catered for convenience of the user (tension, TG).
3)Perfect for the following applications
●It is suitable for the application which requires precise control.
●It is suitable to check the tension change and output from the display.
4)Materials applicable for the controller
●Printing, screen printing.
●Packaging, filling, pasting, painting.
●Cleaning, drying, fabric, sewing, coloring.

Alarm Number Alarm Information Descriptions
EMS Emergency situation The output is rapidly increased to raise an alarm in case of
emergency stop.
A1 The input of the left detector is
exceeded.
An alarm is issued when the left input is exceeded or the
voltage is exceeded.
A2 The input of the right detector is
exceeded.
An alarm is issued when the right input is exceeded or the
voltage is exceeded.
A3 Load unbalance. An alarm is issued when the unbalance between the left and
right measurements exceeds 20 %.
A4 Span setup load unbalance. An alarm is issued when the span setup is less than 88% and
more than 112% compared in left and right.
7.Alarm List
An input excess alarm is displayed when an excessive load is applied to the
tension detector, and, if an alarm is issued and the tension is continuously
maintained, the tension detector may be destroyed.
Precaution :Check of input excess alams

·Display Check whether the sensor set at the right top of the display is correct or not.
(※ When changing the sensor type, refer to ‘1) SENSOR (Sensor Selection)’ on page 22.)
· When using the product for the first time or performing the ‘factory set
(entire initialization)’, a screen is appeared as the figure on the left.
· First, press the ‘FN button’ on the front control panel to change into the
control screen.
·Carry out the zero setup first, then the span setup.
·
The zero setup can be carried out in the manual/auto mode, and the span
setup can be done in the manual mode.
· The mounted value (actual tension) on the display become zero as the
left figure with a beeping sound of the buzzer, and the zero setup is
finished. (※ The mounted value may not be zero depending on the setup
condition.)
·After the zero setup, carry out the span setup.
· First, install a weight as the figure on the bottom of page 15.
· Press the ‘OUT/SPAN button’ on the front control panel at length.
·
The span setup method is appeared with a beeping sound of the buzzer as
the left figure.
· Rotate the ‘DIAL button’ on the front control panel to enter a weight
value. The weight value is indicated flickeringly on the ‘Display’.
· Press the ‘OUT/SPAN button’ on the front control panel at length to
complete the span setup.

How to Handle Problems of ZERO/SPAN Setup
(※ How to handle problems of the load cell and pickup setup)
1.Problems appeared when performing the span setup without zero setup
2. When a warning window, which indicates the tension detector’s
wiring is wrong, is appeared in the span setup after zero setup
· When pressing the ‘OUT/SPAN button’ at length for span setup without
performing zero setup, a screen is appeared as the left figure. (If zero
setup is not completed, you cannot perform span setup.)
· In such a case, press the ‘FN button (CANCEL)’ to change into the
control screen, then refer to the ‘ZERO/SPAN setup’ on page 14 to
carry out from zero setup to span setup once again.
· When the wiring of tension detector’s terminal block is wrong, one of the three warning messages above is
appeared depending on its condition.
· In such a case, refer to the ‘Tension Detector Installation method ’ on page 8 to correctly modify the tension
detector’s wiring of the relevant warning message.
· After correctly modifying the tension detector’s wiring, press the ‘FN button (CANCEL)’ to change into the
control screen.
·Refer to the ‘ZERO/SPAN Calibration’ on page 14 to carry out from zero setup to span setup once again.

2.Inputtheweightuponthevalueofspan(unit:kg)
(※Detector:Weightof30to100%ofthemaximumload)
※Span Calibration
Span adjustment of the tension detector :The load of the tension detector by the tension of the material
varies depending on the angle at which the detector or the material is installed. Span is conducted in
order to complement this.
(※Select a weight equivalent to 30 to 100 % of the maximum capacity of the tension detector and install it on the
roller as follows: For example, if the maximum load of the tension detector is 100 kg, select a weight between 30 and
100 kg.)
If the span setup has not been properly
done, carry out the work again from zero
adjustment.

Auto Mode P·I·D Gain Setup
The gain which determines the responsiveness of the tension control may be set to the normal standard.
(Gain adjustment can be set only in auto mode)
·Enter P·I·D Gain setup mode by long pressing DIAL button in auto mode.
·Set the desired gain value by turning the DIAL after activating the P value or I value by pressing DIAL button.
(If you set the P gain value too low, the material would not be wound evenly because its response speed has slowed down,
on the contrary, if you set the gain value too high, there would be a vibration phenomenon on the machine.)
·When DIAL button is pressed long, gain setup mode will be closed.
·Refer to page 18 for the detailed P·I·D gain setup.

●Increasing the P gain value will improve the responsiveness. Instead, the stability will get worse.
●While decreasing the P gain value will deteriorate the responsiveness, the stability will be improved.
●If vibration (hunting) is severe as in the case of P1, lower the P gain value gradually.
