Introduction
The AVerDiGi System Controller is an optional equipment that provideds user an easy way to operate
DVR server. The AVerDiGi System Controller can support up to 99 DVR servers.

Hardware Installation
Using RS-232 Interface to Connect a DVR server
Throu h the RS-232 interface, user can connect a DVR server with the System Controller. Please
refer to the below fi ure for connectin the DVR server and the System Controller.

The System Controller does not supported RS-232 and RS-485 connection at the same time.

Using RS485 Interface to Connect multiple DVRs
Throu h the RS485 interface, user can connect multiple DVR servers with System Controller. Please
refer to the below fi ure for connectin the DVR servers and System Controller.

Using the System Controller for the First Time
For the first time usin the System Controller, please setup DVR ID on DVR server and select DVR ID
on System Controller in order to make correct connection between DVR server and System Controller.
To Setup DVR ID in DVR Server
The ID number is a key to establish communication between DVR server and System Controller.
Follow the steps below to setup ID for DVR server.
1. On DVR server, start up DVR pro ram
2. Click Setup
3. Select System, the System Setting windows will appear
4. Click icon
5. Set a ID for DVR server(0~99)

When the DVR server ID is X, the DVR server can be controlled
by System Controller
irrespective of the DVR ID that is selected in System Controller.
6. Select a Com port for the System Controlled that is connected to the DVR server. Click Setup to
confi ure Com port value. The Com port value is shown in below table:

To Select DVR ID in System Controller
1. When the System Controller is powered on, press DVR ID button
2. Enter the DVR server ID number by pressin the Number button. For example: ID is 1, press
number button 0 and 1. Press Enter button to confirm. If user wants to control another DVR
server, just press DVR ID button and enter the DVR server ID.
3. The Online indicator will li ht up when DVR server and System Controller connection has been
established.

Function Description

OCK
To lock panel buttons. Enter the password (default is 123456) and press Enter
button to un-lock. User can chan e the password and set the auto panel lock
time which after a specified period of idle time in Setting mode.

To setup System Controller system parameters. Press Setting button and enter
the password ( default is 9876543210) to enter setup mode. Move joystick down
to o next setup selection. Or, press the Enter button to o next selection.
SET LOCK PASSWORD:
To setup a password to un-lock panel buttons. The default password is 123456.
Movin joystick to left or ri ht to move the tab. Press the Enter button to save.

SET KEY TONE:
Enable/disable the button tone sound. Turn joystick to ri ht or left to ON or OFF
the button tone sound. Press the Enter button to save.
SET LOCK PERIOD:
Set a time period to lock the panel buttons durin idle time period. Turn joystick
to ri ht or left to select the value (in seconds). Press the Enter button to save.

Enter the DVR server ID for communicatin with System Controller. Press DVR
ID button and enter the DVR server ID number usin number button. For
example: ID is 2, press 0 + 2 number key and press Enter button to confirm.

EMAP
To call out E-map windows. Press Cancel button to exit from E-Map
windows.
NETWORK
Enable/disable remote system access. This feature allows you to access DVR
server from a remote location via internet connection.

Switch to Preview mode. This allows you to view live video display on screen

playin the recorded video file in Playback.
Move Joystick to left and ri ht to select day and up and down to select hour.

RIGHT: Play the recorded video file at the speed of 2x, 4x, 8x, 16x or 32x
LEFT: Wind back the recorded video file
UP : Go to previous frame
DOWN: Go to next frame
Turn Right: Play the record video file at the fast speed
Turn Left: Play the recorded video file at the speed of 1/2X, 1/4X, or 1/8X
