Assembly Instructions
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS:
This portable luminaire has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature to reduce the risk
of electric shock. This plug will fit ina polarized outlet only oneway. Ifthe plug does not fit fully inthe outlet, reverse
the plug. If it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use with an extensioncord unless plug can be fully
inserted. Do not altertheplug. Donot attempt todefeat this safety feature.
These instructions areprovided for yoursafety. It is very important that they are readcarefully andcompletely before
beginning the assembly and installation ofthis lighting fixture.
This fixture has been rated for upto (1)100 Watt TYPE A standard incandescent light bulb (not included) or (1)23-
watt compact fluorescent bulb (not included) or one (1) 9-watt LEDlight bulb (included). To avoid the risk of fire, do
not exceed the recommended wattage.
Use with approved Pottery BarnShades only, having a minimum opening diameter of 4 inches and a minimum lamp-
to-shadespacing of 3.5 inches.
This lamp is meant for indoor use.
Save these instructions.
WARNING:
To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shockor personal injury, always turn offand unplug the light fixture and
allow it to cool prior to replacing the light bulb.
Do not touch bulbwhen fixture is turned on. Do not lookdirectlyat lit bulb.
Keep flammable materials away from lit bulb.
PRE-ASSEMBLY:
Remove all parts andhardware from box alongwith any plastic protective packaging.
Do not discard any contents until after assembly is complete to avoid accidentally discardingsmall parts orhardware.

(1) Saddle (F)
(1) Lamp Base (G)
(1) Finial (A)
(1) Harp Top (B)
(1) Harp (C)
(1) Harp Caps (D)
(1) LEDBulb

ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Raise Harp Caps (D) and then Insert the Harp (C) into the Saddle (F) and lower the Harp Caps (D) until they coverthe
two-pronged Saddle (F).
2. Unscrew the Finial (A) from the Harp Top (B). Place Shade (Not included) over the assembled harp, making sure the
Harp Top (B) extends throughthe hole at thetop of theShade (Not included).
3. Attach the Finial (A) (included) and tighten to secure the Shade (Not included).
4. Insert one - 100 watt maximum TYPE A standard incandescent light bulb (not included) or one 23-watt compact
fluorescent bulb (not included) or one- 9-watt LED light bulb (included for California customersonly) into the
Socket (E). DO NOT EXCEEDSPECIFIEDWATTAGE.
5. Plug fixture into the proper electrical outlet and test fixture.
6. Assembly iscomplete.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS:
• Wipe clean with a soft, dry cloth or static duster.
• Always avoid the use of harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners as they may cause damage to the fixture’s finish.
