POWER MODULES
Installation and Operator Guide
Belles ARIA SIGNATURE INTEGRATED
AMPLIFIER

1

Introduction
Congratulations on the purchase of your Power Modules audio component. You have purchased a
product that is the culmination of over 40 years of amplifier research experience.
David Belles has designed all the Power Modules audio products to exceed in performance over any other
product in its class.
The Power Modules product has been designed to be a reliable part of your precision sound system,
assuming it is handled and installed properly. We have provided these operating instructions for you,
which, if followed, will insure you years of listening enjoyment. The purpose of this installation and
operation guide is to instruct you in the proper installation and use of your purchase.
Please ensure that you follow all the steps outlined in this guide, paying particular attention to any
warnings or cautions. Failure to adhere to the warnings or cautions in this guide could result in damage to
your unit.
Care
The most important thing you can do for your audio component is clean it properly. There may be
occasions when dust or dirt my build up on your unit. Polishes, cleaners, solvent or any ammonia based
cleaners will damage the finish of your unit. Endust and Pledge are okay to use if wiped thoroughly. Use a
clean cloth and wipe the dirt from the unit. Use greater pressure to clean more persistent dirt. With proper
care, the appearance of Power Modules audio product will be preserved for years.
Unpacking the Unit
When you receive your unit, carefully inspect the carton for any damage. Any obvious dents or scuff
marks should alert you to the possibility of damage to the contents. If any external damage to the carton is
found, note the location in relation to the orientation of the unit as it is removed from the carton.
Open the top flaps of the carton and carefully remove the unit, lifting it straight out of the carton. Inspect
the unit for damage, paying particular attention to those areas that correspond to any damaged areas on
the outer carton.
If your unit was damaged (1) Contact your dealer if the unit was purchased locally. (2) Contact your
common carrier (eg- UPS) if your unit was shipped to you. Do not send the unit back to the shipper until
instructed to do so by the carrier. To do so may void any damage claim you may have.
Do not discard your packing materials or cartons. Should it be necessary to return the unit, it must arrive
undamaged. Using the original packing materials will ensure your unit arrives safely. Sending your unit
back in improper packing could lead to the unit being damaged, with no possibility of a successful claim
against the carrier. The unit must be placed in the original packing bag to avoid marring the unit.

Installing the ARIA SIGNATURE
1. Locate where to place the ASIG Integrated in your system.
2. Be sure the main components in the system are turned off until the ASIG is installed.
3. Connect the turntable system to the rear MM phono inputs of the ASIG and be sure it has a high
output cartridge.
4. Connect the other line inputs In 1, 2, 3 and Bal in (balanced in) to your sources.
Note that input 3 is at a separate location near the MM phono inputs. The front panel input
selector may label it as PH MC.
5. The Bypass input allows direct access to the ASIG’s power amplifier by disconnecting from its
preamplifier section. The preamplifier output may be connected to a processor or other device and
the output of the device to the bypass input thus, inserting it in the signal path.
6. The preamplifier output (balanced or unbalanced) operates an external device.
7. The headphone jack is located on the front panel. It will require a standard ¼” plug. A 3.5 mm phone
plug will require an adapter. To operate the headphones turn on the MUTE function, This will turn
off the power amplifier so that only the headphones are on.
8. Connect the speaker wires to the ASIG’s binding posts observing polarity (red + positive and black –
negative). Never use raw untinned stranded speaker wireas a short circuit could occur ( even though
the ASIG is protected). Preferably use spade lugs or banana plugs. The ASIG operates at any 4 to 16
ohm load
9. Once all proper connections are made, connect AC power to the ASIG using the supplied power
cord or a satisfactory custom one.
10. Now you are ready to the ARIA Signature Integrated Amplifier.
11. Preparation and Checkout
Like any high performance, audiophile quality component, Power Modules components require about
250 hours of circuit forming (burn-in) time before a realistic evaluation of its capabilities can take place.
