under supervision. The prohibition also applies to people who are unfamiliar or insufficiently familiar with the
operation of the chainsaw. The operating instructions should always be at hand. The saw should not be
entrusted to overworked or physically inefficient persons.
Electrical safety
• The power tool plug must match the outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. Do not use adapter plugs for
power tools with protective grounding. Unmodified plugs and matching sockets reduce the risk of electric
shock.
•Avoid contact with grounded surfaces such as pipes, radiators, stoves and refrigerators. The risk of electric
shock is greater when the user's body is grounded.
• The device should be protected against rain and moisture. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk
of electric shock.
• Never use the cable for other activities. Never carry a power tool by the cord or use a cord to suspend the
appliance;

7
Also, do not pull the plug out of the socket by pulling the cord. The cable should be protected against high

injury.
• Avoid unintentional starting of the tool. Before inserting the plug into the socket and / or connecting to the
battery, and before lifting or moving the power tool, make sure that the power tool is switched off. Keeping
your finger on the switch while moving the power tool or plugging in a power tool may result in accidents.
• Before turning on the power tool, remove the setting tools or wrenches. A tool or wrench that is in the
moving parts of the machine can cause injury.
• Avoid unnatural work positions. Take care of stable work position and balance. This way you will be able to
better control your power tool in unforeseen situations.
• Wear appropriate clothing. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewelry or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
• If it is possible to install dust extraction and trapping devices, make sure that they are connected and used
correctly. Using a dust extraction device can reduce the risk of dust.
Proper service and use of power tools
• Do not overload the device. Only use power tools intended for this purpose. A properly selected power tool
works better and safer in a given performance range.
• Do not use a power tool if the on / off switch is damaged. A power tool that cannot be turned on or off is
dangerous and must be repaired.
•Before adjusting the device, changing accessories or after stopping the work with the tool, pull the plug out of the
socket and / or remove the battery. This precautionary measure prevents the power tool from unintentionally
starting.

8
• Store unused power tools out of the reach of children. Do not share the tool with people who do not know it
or have not read these regulations. Power tools used by inexperienced people are dangerous.
• Proper maintenance of the power tool is necessary. Check that the moving parts of the device are working
properly and are not blocked, whether the parts are not cracked or damaged in a way that would affect the
proper functioning of the power tool. Damaged parts must be repaired before use. Many accidents are
caused by poorly maintained power tools.
• Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. The cutting tool is stuck much less often if it is carefully maintained.
Well-groomed tools are also easier to drive.
• Power tools, accessories, auxiliary tools etc. should be used in accordance with these instructions. The
conditions and type of work performed should be taken into account. Incorrect use of the power tool can
lead to dangerous situations.
Proper service and use of battery tools
• Rechargeable batteries should only be charged with chargers recommended by the manufacturer. There is
a risk of fire if you use a charger that is suitable for charging a certain type of battery in a way that is not
intended.
• Only use the batteries intended for this purpose. Using other batteries may cause injury and fire.
• Keep unused battery away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that
could bridge the contacts. Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a fire.
• If used improperly, it is possible for the electrolyte to escape from the battery. Avoid contact with it, and in
case of accidental contact with the electrolyte, wash the affected area with water. If liquid has got into your
eyes, consult a doctor in addition. The electrolyte may cause skin irritation or burns.
IN SAFETY TIPS FOR WORKING WITH CHAINSAWSIN SAFETY TIPS FOR WORKING WITH CHAINSAWS
• Maintain a safe distance between all body parts and the chain saw while the engine is running. Before
starting the saw, make sure that the chain does not touch anything. A moment of carelessness when
operating a chain saw can result in clothing or body parts being caught in the chain.
•When working with a chain saw, always hold the rear handle with your right hand and the front handle with your left hand.
Holding the saw in a different way (vice versa) increases the risk of injury and is not acceptable.
• The power tool should only be operated by the insulated handle, since the chain may come across hidden
electric wires. As a result of chain contact with a live wire, voltage may be transferred to the metal parts of
the power tool, which could cause electric shock.
• Wear safety glasses and hearing protection. It is also recommended to use a protective helmet, hand, leg
and foot protection. Appropriate protective clothing reduces the risk of injury from airborne filings, and also
prevents accidental contact with the saw chain.
• Do not work a chain saw while sitting in a tree. Working with a chain saw in a tree can cause serious injury.

9
• Always maintain a stable position at work. The chain saw may only be used when standing on a stable, safe
and level surface. Slippery or unstable surfaces, such as when working with a ladder, can lead to loss of
balance or loss of control over a chain saw.
• Always remember that when cutting, a taut branch may spring back. If the stress in the fibers releases, the
branch can hit the saw operator and / or "pull" the saw out of control.
• Particular care should be taken when cutting undergrowth and young trees. Thin material can get caught in
the saw chain and hit the operator, or lead to a loss of balance.
• The chain saw may only be moved with the chain locked; hold it by the front handle with the guide pointing
backwards. Always wear a protective cover when transporting and storing the chain saw. Careful handling of
the chain saw reduces the risk of accidental contact with a moving chain.
• Observe the appropriate instructions when lubricating and tensioning the chain, and when changing tooling.
An improperly tensioned or poorly lubricated chain may break or increase the risk of kickback.
• The handles must always be dry, clean and free from oil or grease. Greasy, oil-contaminated handles are
slippery and lose control of the tool.
• Only wood can be cut. The chain saw must not be used for work for which it was not intended. For example:
Do not use a chain saw to cut plastics, masonry or building materials not made of wood. Using the chain in a
way that is not intended may lead to dangerous situations.
•Reasons for rejection and ways to avoid it:
- The recoil phenomenon occurs when the upper part of the bar tip contacts an object or as a result of a
saw chain jamming in the kerf due to bending of the cut wood.
- As a result of the bar tip coming into contact with an object, in some cases there may be a pushing force
exerted by the chain saw backwards, which may cause uncontrolled upward movement of the bar towards
the operator.
- Jamming of the saw chain on the edge of the guide bar may lead to a sudden kickback of the bar towards
the operator.
- Any of these reactions can cause you to lose control of the chain saw and cause serious injury. Do not
rely solely on the built-in security features of the device. The chainsaw user should take various additional
measures to keep work free from accidents and injuries. The kickback is the result of incorrect or incorrect
use of the power tool. It can be avoided by taking the following precautions:
• Hold the chain saw with both hands, the thumb and other fingers of the hand should cover the handles. The
body and arms should be in a stable position to withstand possible recoil. The operator can keep discards
under control by using appropriate measures. Never let the chain saw be turned on.

10
• Do not take an unnatural position when cutting, or cut with the saw at a height above the shoulders. This
avoids unintentional contact with the top of the bar tip and makes it easier to control the saw in unexpected
situations.
• Only use spare parts recommended by the manufacturer (guides and chains). Incorrect guides or chains can
break the chain or cause kickback.
•The saw should be sharpened and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions. Too shallow depth
stops increase the tendency to recoil.
D ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONSD ADDITIONAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• It is recommended that the person who operates the chain saw be trained before the first start by an
experienced specialist in the use of the tool, as well as the use of protective equipment on specific examples
in practice. As an introductory exercise sawing tree trunks on a goat or a special base should be carried out.
• This power tool is not suitable for use by people (including children) who are physically, emotionally or
mentally restricted, or who have insufficient experience and / or insufficient knowledge. An exception is
when they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety and receive instructions from that person
regarding the use of the power tool. Children should be supervised to rule out the possibility of them playing
with a power tool.
• The chain must not be operated by children and young people; the exception is apprentices over 16 who are
under supervision. The prohibition also applies to people who are unfamiliar or insufficiently familiar with the
operation of the chainsaw. The operating instructions should always be at hand. The saw should not be
entrusted to overworked or physically inefficient persons.
• When working with the power tool, hold it firmly in both hands and ensure a stable working position.
Two-hand power tools are safer.
• Before working with the device, make sure that all safety devices, covers and handles are properly attached.
Do not operate devices that have been partially dismantled or devices with unauthorized modifications.
• Wait until the power tool is stationary before putting it away.
• Under no circumstances may you remove the guide cover or modify it in any way! The saw has been
equipped with a guide bar to prevent kickback in situations where the tip of the saw unintentionally touches
the wood being processed.
Tips for optimal battery handling

16
The chain tension of the chain (1) is important for both the safety of the user and the function of the battery saw. A
correctly tensioned chainsaw will extend the life of the device. The chain tension must be checked before each use of
the battery saw. Always check the chain tension before starting work, after the first cuts, and regularly during
operation, approximately every five cuts. When first started, the new chains can be significantly extended. This is
normal during burglary, and the time between successive adjustments increases quickly.
• Place the product on a suitable flat surface with the chain rack cover (6) facing up.
•Check the chain tension with one hand to lift the chain saw (1) against the weight of the product. The
correct chain tension is obtained when the chain can be raised approx. 2-4 mm from the guide bar (2) in
the middle.
NOTE: The chain tension on new chainsaws should be adjusted after a short period of operation.
Chain lubrication
Always turn off the machine and allow the engine to cool before filling with chain oil. There is a risk of fire if the chain
oil is overfilled.
NOTE: The bar and chain must always be oiled. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in
increased wear on the blade and chain.
A full tank is enough for about 15 minutes of continuous operation. Check the oil level in a timely manner. The
cordless saw is equipped with an automatic oil system. As soon as the engine drives the chain, the oil flows faster to
the guide rail (2). Check the oil level in the oil tank before starting work.

K ONE CONTROL OF THE CHAIN LUBRICATIONK ONE CONTROL OF THE CHAIN LUBRICATION
Checking the automatic chain lubrication can be done by switching on the chain saw and pointing the tip towards a
piece of cardboard or paper placed on the floor. Do not touch the floor with a chain. Observe a safety distance of 20
cm. If you notice oil leakage during the test, it means that the automatic lubrication system is working fine. If - despite
the full tank - no traces of oil appear on the paper, contact a Powermat service center.
