Read this booklet carefully as it contains important instructions for a safe installation,
use and maintenance.
Important instructions to be kept for future reference.
The following basic precautions should always be followed when using electrical
appliances:

Read all instructions before using the appliance.
This appliance must be used only for the purpose it was expressly designed; any
use NOT complying with the instructions contained in the manual is considered
inappropriate and dangerous. The manufacturer is NOT responsible for possible
damages caused by the inappropriate and/or unreasonable use.
This appliance is NOT suitable to be used or stored near heat sources (open flame,
ovens, heaters, stoves, etc.) and/or in an explosive environment (in the presence of
flammable substances such as gas, vapour, mist or dust, in atmospheric conditions
when, after ignition, the combustion is spread in the air). Items containing these
substances should never be placed in the appliance, and never be used to clean the
appliance in order to avert the risk of fire or explosion.
The packing materials (plastic bags, expanded polystyrene, etc.) must be kept out
of the reach of children or disabled persons since they represent potential sources
of danger.
The installation/assembly of the appliance will be made in accordance with the
indications of the manufacturer. A wrong procedure may cause damages to persons,
animals or objects, for which the manufacturer cannot be considered responsible.
Before use, check the integrity of the appliance and power cable. In case you are not
sure, contact a qualified person. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer or its service agent or a qualified technician in order to avoid a
shock hazard.
Before powering the appliance make sure the rating (voltage and frequency)
corresponding to the grid and the socket is suitable for the plug of the appliance,
and that the wall socket is properly grounded.
DO NOT power the appliance using multiple sockets. If possible, avoid the use of
adapters and/or extension cables; if their use is absolutely necessary, use only
materials in compliance with the current safety regulations and according to the
electrical parameters of the adapters.
The appliance must NOT be switched on using external timers and/or other remote
control appliances which are not specified in this manual.
Only use original components & accessories provided by the manufacturer. Any
non-original components & accessories NOT recommended by the manufacturer
may cause injuries to persons or damage to the appliance. Doing so will void the
warranty and may cause serious injury.

Fully charge the appliance for 16 hours. Subsequently, the charging process
should last for 8 hours. Charge, use and store the dry appliance between –
10°C (14°F) and 40°C (104°F). DO NOT charge or store the appliance in the
bathroom or near water sources, nor use the appliance whilst it is being charged.
Ensure that the appliance is switched off before charging the appliance. Insert
the connector of the power cable, and the plug of the appliance into the electric
grid. Disconnect the appliance when the Indicator light changes colour.
Ensure that the appliance is switched off before cleaning the appliance and
accessories with a wet cloth mixed with some detergent.
DO NOT use metal scouring pads.
DO NOT clean any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.
use the appliance to trim artificial hair or animal hair;
use the appliance on skin that is wounded, sunburnt, cut or blistered;
use the appliance in an inverted position as it may cause the Blade to cut too
deep, leading to injury;
cover the appliance during functioning;
place the appliance in the microwave or conventional oven, or pour boiling water
over any part of the appliance in order to sterilise it;
insert objects or body parts inside the protection cover of the appliance;
touch the Blade with your fingers or any utensil while the appliance is operating
to avoid personal injury or damage to the appliance;
operate the appliance for more than 2 minutes without interruption. Let the
appliance rest for 1 minute between processing cycles. After 3 processing cycles,
allow an interval of 10 minutes to let the appliance cool down before the next
use, so as to prolong its service life. DO NOT allow the appliance to idle while in
operation;
press the ON/OFF Switch too forcefully;
leave the appliance unsupervised during operation.

If you are using the appliance for the first time, you should:

Before plugging & unplugging the appliance, turn the ON/OFF Switch to OFF. Plug
and unplug the power cable holding it firmly with dry hands. Always unplug the
power cable to avoid overheating and avoid stretching it (DO NOT pull it, tug it or
use it to drag the appliance to which is connected).
During operation, DO NOT use the appliance whilst showering or touch the
appliance with wet body parts, and it is recommended to have between you and
the standing surface, an isolating element (for example, wearing shoes with rubber
soles.
DO NOT immerse the appliance, excluding the Blade and the Guide Comb, in water
or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing
of the appliance to prevent electric shock. The Blade and the Guide Comb can be
rinsed under running water. DO NOT clean any part of the appliance in the
dishwasher. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT attempt to remove it from
the water, but first of all unplug immediately the ‘A’connector of the USB power
cable to the charging port of the external charger or computer.

Avoid placing the appliance or power cable on abrasive or sharp surfaces or in
positions where it can be damaged easily. The cable must NOT be placed under
carpets, or covered with throw rugs, runners or similar. Arrange the cable away from
the high traffic area, and where it will NOT be tripped over.
Always remember to unplug the power cable of the appliance after charging,
before storing, using, cleaning or performing any maintenance operation.
Avoid carrying out operations which are NOT specified in this manual (such as
disassembling and/or altering).
In case of malfunction or anomaly during the functioning, switch off the appliance
immediately and check the cause of the anomaly, if possible, with the support of a
qualified person.
If smoke is observed coming out of the appliance, turn the electric mains OFF and
unplug the power cable immediately (if the power cable is still attached to the
appliance). Switch off the appliance immediately. Let the appliance and its contents
cool before attempting to remove the Blade and the Guide Comb out of the
appliance.
This appliance is NOT intended for commercial use but to be used in households
and similar applications, such as:
• Staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
• Dormitories;
• By clients in hotels, motels and other residential environments;
• Bed and breakfast type environment
DO NOT use or store the appliance outdoors. Store and use the appliance only
indoors, or in any case, protected from weathering such as rain, direct radiation of
the sun and dust.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall NOT
play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall NOT be made by
children unless they are older than 8 and supervised. Keep the appliance and its
cable out of reach of children less than 8 years old.

Charging the appliance
DO NOT charge or store the appliance in the bathroom or near water sources.
DO NOT charge the appliance at temperatures lower than –10°C (14°F) or higher
than 40°C (104°F), in direct sunlight or near heat sources. If possible, charge, use and
store the appliance between 15°C (59°F) and 35°C (95°F). Ensure that the appliance
is dry before charging it.
DO NOT use the appliance when it is being charged.
For the first use, please fully charge the appliance for 16 hours prior to using it. If the
appliance had not been used for a period of 3 months or more, do likewise.
Subsequently, the charging process should last for 8 hours.

Ensure that the appliance is switched off before charging the appliance. Insert the
connector of the power cable, and the plug of the appliance into the electric grid.
A red light indicates that charging is in progress. After the appliance is fully charged,
the red light turns blue. DO NOT disconnect the appliance until the Indicator light
changes colour.
DO NOT use a power cable that is worn or frayed, or if the connector of the power
cable does not fit snugly into the port on the appliance.
DO NOT pull, twist or bend the power cable, nor place heavy objects on it.
The appliance can be used for up to 45 minutes after being fully charged. However,
to preserve and extend the life of the battery, it is recommended that after
approximately 35 minutes, when you feel that the power is waning, charge the
appliance before the appliance completely shuts off. It takes 8 hours for a full
charge.
Using the appliance
Clean the appliance and accessories before using. Refer to the section “How to clean
and maintain” immediately following this section.
DO NOT use the appliance whilst showering or next to a running tap.
The appliance should NOT be used to trim artificial hair or animal hair.
Remove the Guide Comb from the appliance by sliding it up (see pictures under the
heading “To Remove and Attach the Guide Comb”).
The Blade has fixed life. In order to obtain the best result, please replace the Blade
regularly. Apply oil to the Blade prior to each use. Using a blunt, deformed or
damaged Blade may result in skin irritation or injury.
Attach the Guide Comb to the appliance before use. Adjust the height of the Guide
Comb by sliding it upwards or downwards to the level of trim you desire.
DO NOT use the appliance in an inverted position. This may cause the Blade to cut
too deep, and may lead to injury. Although this is NOT recommended, using the
appliance without the Guide Comb attached will trim hair length to approximately
0.4 mm.
Press the ON/OFF Switch to turn on the appliance. When trimming is completed,
press the ON/OFF Switch again. DO NOT leave the appliance in an idle mode for too
long.
DO NOT operate the appliance for more than 2 minutes without interruption.
Let the appliance rest for 1 minute between processing cycles. After 3 processing
cycles, allow an interval of 10 minutes to let the appliance cool down before the
next use, so as to prolong its service life. DO NOT allow the appliance to idle while
in operation.
Keep the appliance out of reach of children.
Safety Protection
If the appliance overheats, the thermal switch will be activated, leading to the
motor being shut off. Press the ON/OFF Switch OFF. Allow the appliance to cool for
at least 15 minutes before using the appliance.

HOW TO CLEAN AND MAINTAIN

Cleaning the appliance
Press the ON/OFF Switch to turn OFF the appliance. Remove the power cable from
the appliance (if attached). DO NOT clean the appliance while it is being charged.
Remove the Guide Comb from the appliance by sliding it up (see pictures under the
heading “To Remove and Attach the Guide Comb”). You can clean the Guide Comb
with detergent and rinse it under running water. Dry the Guide Comb before
re-attaching it to the appliance.
Clean the Blade immediately after using the appliance. To remove the Blade (after
removing the Guide Comb), hold the appliance and press your thumb against the
flat section of the Blade and push upwards. You can rinse the Blade under running
water. Refer to the pictures on how to clean the Blade using the Cleaning Brush.
If the exterior of the appliance is sticky, you can apply a proper amount of detergent
and clean it with a soft wet cloth. DO NOT use cleaners or chemical substances.
Wipe the appliance’s surface with a dry cloth, Please dry or air dry the Blade after
cleaning, and then re-attach the Blade in the appliance. DO NOT use blowers,
hairdryers or other dry heat exchanges.
DO NOT immerse the appliance, excluding the Blade and the Guide Comb, in water
or other liquids, wash it under the tap, or let any liquid flow into the internal casing
of the appliance to prevent electric shock. The Blade and the Guide Comb can be
rinsed under running water. DO NOT clean any part of the appliance in the
dishwasher. In case of accidental fall in water, DO NOT try to take it out, but first of
all switch off and unplug the power cable immediately.
The Blades are sharp. DO NOT touch the Blades with your fingers to avoid personal
injury.
DO NOT attempt to sterilise any part of the appliance at high temperatures as the
plastic may deform.
To Remove and Attach the Guide Comb
To adjust the level of trim required,
simply slide the Guide Comb outwards
to increase the trim level and inwards to
decrease the trim level.
To remove the Guide Comb, slide it
completely out of the appliance in the
direction shown above.
To Attach the Guide Comb, slide it into
the appliance in the opposite direction.

To Remove and Attach the Blade
To move the 2 set of teeth of the Blade slightly apart for cleaning
To push the 2 sections of Blade teeth slightly apart, holding the Blade, press your
thumb against the wedge
The 2 sections of Blade teeth should move slightly apart,
as shown (pictures at right)
Once the 2 sections are slightly apart, the Cleaning Brush can
be used to remove hair and dust from the Blades.
Press the white catch and squeeze 1 or 2 drops of oil
between the 2 sections of Blades.
To remove the Blade, press your thumb against the flat section of the Blade and
push outwards in the direction shown in the picture on the left side.
The Blade should detach as shown in the picture on the right side.
To attach the Blade, insert the (1) Blade Clip (at the bottom of the Blade) into the (2)
notch in the appliance and press to snap the Blade into place

How to Cut

Use the Guide Comb of the longest length the Guide Regulator allows if you are
inexperienced in using the appliance.
To cut hair in the region: Nape of the Neck
Set the Comb length to 6 mm. Hold the appliance with the Blade
teeth pointing upwards. Begin at the centre of the head at the
base of the neck. Slowly lift the appliance as you work upwards
and outwards through the hair, trimming a little at a time.
To cut hair in the region: Back of the Head
Set the Comb length to 12 mm. Trim the hair at the back of the
head.
To cut hair in the region: Side of the Head
Set the Comb length to 6 mm and trim sideburns. Thereafter, set
the Comb length to 12 mm and continue on to the top of the
head. Repeat on the side.
To cut hair in the region: Top of the Head
Set the Comb length to 12 mm and cut the hair on the top of the
head against the direction of hair growth. To retain long hair,
remove the Guide Comb from the appliance. Lift the hair on top
of the head with a normal hand comb, and cut the hair over the
comb. You can also use your fingers to lift the hair and cut it to
the desired length. Always work from the back of the head
upwards to the top of the head.
To cut hair in the region: All parts of the head – the Finishing Touches
Remove the Guide Comb from the appliance.
Carefully trim the hair all around the head evenly.

The manufacturer provides warranty in accordance with the legislation of the
customer’s own country of residence, with a minimum of 1 year, starting from the date
on which the appliance is sold to the end user.
The warranty covers defects in material and workmanship.
The repairs under warranty may only be carried out by an authorised service centre.
When making a claim under the warranty, the original bill of purchase (with purchase
date clearly indicated) must be submitted.
The warranty will not apply in cases of:

e.g. overloading of the appliance, use of non-approved accessories
if the appliance has not been properly maintained, if force has been used against it

installation instructions
errors or faults owing to defects in the distribution system
if the appliance has been repaired or modified or changed in any way or by any
person not properly authorised
WARRANTY
This device, along with all other electronic devices, should, when it is no longer
capable of functioning, be disposed with the least possible environmental damage
according to the local regulations in your area. In most cases you can discard the
device at your local recycling center.
DISPOSAL: Do not dispose this device as unsorted municipal waste.
Collection of such waste separately for special treatment is necessary.
