Always iron clothes which require lower temperatures first, and work your way to higher
temperatures. Never the other way around as thermally-sensitive fabrics will be ruined by
higher temperatures. In addition, the iron gets hot faster than it cools.
Ensure that the water is filled to the ‘MAX’line of the Water Tank.
Set the Temperature Regulating Knob to the ‘0’ position.
Position the iron vertically resting on the Heel Rest on a horizontal, stable and heat-resistant
surface.
Plug the power cable into the electric socket and switch it ON.
Set the Temperature Regulating Knob between 5 – 7 and the Steam Button unlocked in the
UP position. The Indicator Light comes on. The process of preheating the iron has commenced.
Wait for the Indicator Light to go off, indicating that the selected temperature has been
reached and you can start ironing fabrics which require lower temperature ironing. The light

Note: the iron gives off steam continuously only if held horizontally with the Steam Button
unlocked in the UP position. You can stop the continuous flow of steam by placing the iron in
a vertical position, by moving the control dial to 0 or having the Steam Button locked in the
DOWN position.. You can only use steam at the highest temperatures (5 – 7, otherwise water
may drip onto the plate.

Once you have finished ironing, place iron on the Heel Rest, turn temperature selector to OFF
and unplug the iron. Set the Temperature Regulating Knob to 0 and the Steam Button locked
in the DOWN position
Wait until the iron has cooled down completely.
Pour out the remaining water after use by pointing the tip of the iron downwards and
inverting the iron. DO NOT store the iron with water still inside the Water Tank.
Wipe the exterior of the iron using a soft, damp cloth or sponge. Remove stubborn spots with
a cloth moistened with mild liquid detergent. DO NOT use abrasive scouring pads or powders.
Never let steam iron cleaners come into contact with the working parts of the iron.
Soleplate: Starch and other residues may be easily removed from the Soleplate with a damp
cloth with a vinegar-water solution.
To avoid scratching the finishing, never use a metallic pad to clean the Soleplate, and never
place the iron horizontally over a rough surface.
If synthetic fabrics are ironed at too high temperatures, not only is the fabric usually ruined
but the Soleplate is often covered with the melted remains of the synthetic fabric.
The best way to remove synthetic fabric residue from the Soleplate is to heat the iron and to
iron over an old cotton rag repeatedly.
Store the iron in a vertical position.
HOW TO CLEAN
Anti-Drip Function
Below a certain temperature (Temperature setting 5 on the Temperature Regulator knob), the
anti-drip function cuts off the flow of water to the Soleplate and stops the water from dripping
out of the appliance.
Overheat Safety Protection
In the case where the installed thermostat malfunctions, the power supply will stop
automatically to prevent the steam iron from overheating. In this case, the steam iron has to be
repaired by the service point.
