HOW TO CLEAN
9

Descaling
From time to time, boiled scale deposit will naturally form on the Heating Base, thus
reducing heating efficiency. Red rust-like spots, milky or black discoloration on the
water tank, and white floating objects are caused by minerals in the water and are not
cause by discoloration or deterioration of the water tank itself. Although this is not a
hygiene problem, it is advisable to clean the inner of the water tank periodically.
The frequency of descaling depends on the quality of tap water in your region and the
frequency of use of the appliance.

bought citric acid.
Boil the mixture as per normal.
Leave the mixture in the appliance overnight, and discard it the next morning.
Cut a lemon into four pieces, wrap the lemon in a clean cloth and place it inside the
water tank. Once again, fill the appliance to its maximum volume with water
(DO NOT overfill).
Boil the mixture as per normal, and leave the water to Keep Warm for an hour.
Pour out the water and use a nylon brush to clean the water tank.
Fill the appliance to its maximum volume with water (again DO NOT overfill).
Boil the water as per normal.
Discard the boiled water to remove any remaining scale and vinegar.
