Download and open the PowerX
App from your device’s app store
and follow the on-screen
instructions.
Scan your PowerX Hub’s QR code,
or type in the Hub’s ID manually.
You can find the Hub’s ID on the
bottom of the unit.

Connect the PowerX Hub to the wall
adapter and cable, and plug it in an
electrical outlet.
The Hub’s LED light will start to blink.

Choose your local Wifi network,
select “Connect”, and enter your
Wifi credentials.
Your device is successfully
connected if you see the message
“Successfully added Hub” in the
mobile app, and the blinking blue
light on the device changes to
remain ON steadily.
ADD DEVICE
In the PowerX App select
“Add device”.
Then scan the QR code on
the bottom of the PowerX
Water sensor or type in the
sensor’s ID manually.

Step by step guide to installing
PowerX Water and Ultrasonic Sensor

Mount PowerX Water using
the PowerX Mount, on the pipe
or on the wall near the
measuring space. Use the
included screws or zip ties
according to your selection.
For option 1, PowerX Water
must be installed between the
main valve and the first
junction where the pipe splits
into branches.

water leak detection cable
The section of the pipe where the PowerX
Ultrasonic Sensor will be installed has to be
clean, free of rust, scale, moisture, paint, or
other coatings.
Strap the PowerX Ultrasonic Sensor to the
clean pipe section using the included strap
nut and screws. Be sure that the PowerX
Ultrasonic Sensor is close enough to the
PowerX Water for the data transmission
cable to reach.
Then connect PowerX Water to the PowerX
Ultrasonic Sensor using the data transmission
cable.

If your kit includes the water leak detection
cable, attach it to PowerX Water and place
the blue section in a location where any
potential leak points exist.
Make sure to clean the pipe well
before placing the Ultrasonic
Sensor. You can use an alcohol
wipe or emery cloth to remove
any rust or dirt.

frequency and precision may be
reduced when powered by battery
to increase battery lifetime.

Water Sensor Calibration

To calibrate the water flow first ensure all
running water for the household is turned OFF.
Next, select “Water Sensor Calibration” in the
App and prepare to fill a measuring container
with water.
In the app, input the volume of the container
and record the time it takes for the container to
fill with the in-app stopwatch.
All done!
PowerX App will notify you of successful
calibration. Your PowerX Water is ready to use.

Calibrate the PowerX Ultrasonic Sensor by
moving it around the pipe until the front light is
stable. The faster the front light blinks, the closer
you get to a stable light and good calibration.
