These instructions should be read carefully and left with the
user of the product for future reference.
PRODUCT SAFETY
•This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and
knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and
understand the hazards involved.
•Children shall not play with the appliance.
•Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
•Place the EH1432 on a firm flat surface at least 20cm (8")
from a wall. Ensure that the air inlets (at the back) and the air
outlets (on the front) are not obstructed.
•Do not direct the hot air output towards curtains or soft
furnishings.
•Do not place on soft surfaces.
•Do not cover. This symbol shown on the casing of
the heater means that the heater should not be
covered.
•Do not use outdoors.
•Do not use in bathrooms, or in wet or damp locations.
•Do not place the mains lead beneath a carpet or rug.
•Do not use the heater in locations where paint, petrol or
other flammable substances are present.
•Do no insert any object into the heater through the grilles.
This may damage the heater or result in overheating or
electric shock.

OPERATION
Plug the mains lead into a 13 Amp mains socket.
If connecting via an extension lead, make sure that the lead
is rated at 10 Amps or more, and that it is fully unwound.
Switch the unit on at the mains socket.
Open the door and use the three switches to select the
required operation:
•For flame effect only, put the ON/OFF switch in the ON
position, and the other two switches OFF
•For low heat, put the ON/OFF switch and the I switch in the
ON position, and the other switch OFF
•For high heat, put all three switches in the ON position.
Do not touch the air output grille when the heater is in
operation, because it will be hot and may cause burns.
Unplug the heater from the mains when not in use.
OPERATING COSTS
At time of going to press, the average cost of electricity is
£0.11 per unit (kilowatt-hour). The amount you are being
charged will be shown on your electricity bill.
At this cost, the EH1432 will cost £0.16 per hour to run on the
high heat setting, or £0.08 per hour on the low heat settingz.
On the "flame effect only" setting, the EH1432 will cost 1p
per hour to run.
PAT TESTING
When used in an office environment, this product must be
safety-tested yearly by a qualified electrician (PAT Tested) in
order to comply with the Electricity at Work Regulations.
It is good practice that appliances are regularly PAT tested
when used in a domestic environment.

GENERAL SAFETY REQUIREMENTS
Domestic wiring must be tested periodically by a qualified
electrician at least once every 10 years or at every change of
occupancy. For office and retail premises, and buildings such
as village halls, the wiring must be inspected at least once
every 5 years.
It is recommended that all building be fitted with smoke
alarms (it is mandatory for new buildings).
MAINTENANCE
Before cleaning, turn the heater off, and disconnect from the
mains supply. The heater may then be cleaned using a damp
cloth with a drop of washing-up liquid to remove any dust or
dirt from the case. Do no use stronger detergents or solvents
as these may damage the paint finish.
Using a dry 1" (25mm) paint-brush, remove any dust from the
grilles.
If the mains lead is damaged, it must be replaced by the
manufacturer or and authorised service centre. If the mains
plug needs to be replaced, proceed as follows:
•Connect the brown wire to the
terminal labelled "L".
•Connect the blue wire to the
terminal labelled "N".
•Connect the green/yellow wire
to the terminal labelled with the
earth symbol or "E".
•Make sure that the cord-grip is
positioned correctly (over the
outer sheath of the cable) and it
fully tightened.

If the lamp providing the flame effect fails, it can be replaced
as follows:
Disconnect from the mains supply and remove the cover
from the back panel labelled "please change the bulb here".
Remove the failed lamp, and replace by a new 40 W lamp
with a small Edison screw (E14) base.
Replace the cover.
FAULT-FINDING
The EH1432 has a tilt switch which disconnects the power if
the heater falls over. If the heater is not operating, restore it
to an upright position.
The EH1432 has an overheat protection switch, which
disconnects the power if the element gets too hot. The usual
reason for this is because the air-flow has been obstructed,
or the grilles have been blocked. If the heater ceases to
operate, leave it for 20 minutes to cool down, then check that
the grilles are not being obstructed.
Select "Flame effect only" on the switches, and reconnect to
the mains supply. If the flame effect operates, then it is safe
to select the "low heat" or "high heat" settings. If the flame
effect does not operate, or overheat protection switch
operates again, contact an authorised service agent for
repair.

Should this unit be operated under conditions other than
those recommended, at voltages other than the voltage
indicated on the unit, or any attempts made to service or
modify the unit, then the warranty will be rendered void.
The product you buy may sometimes differ slightly from
illustrations. This warranty is in addition to, and does not
affect, your statutory rights.

risque d'incendie existe si le radiateur n'est pas correctement
positionné ou s'il est couvert).
•Ne l'utilisez pas à l'extérieur.
•Ne pas utiliser dans un véhicule en mouvement ou un
bateau.
•Ne pas utiliser dans alentours immédiats d'une salle de
bains, d'une cabine de douche ou d'une piscine.

•Ne pas utiliser dans une salle de bains ou dans une pièce
humide.
•Ne placez pas le cordon d'alimentation sous un tapis ni une
carpette.
•N'utilisez pas le radiateur dans des endroits où de la
peinture, de l'essence ou d'autres liquides inflammables sont
utilisés ou stockés.
•N'insérez pas d'objets dans les grilles du radiateur car cela
endommagerait le poêle et provoquerait une surchauffe ou
un choc électrique.
FONCTIONNEMENT
Branchez le chauffage dans une prise secteur.
Si vous utilisez une rallonge, vérifiez que le câble est calibré
à 10 ampères ou plus, et que la rallonge est complètement
déroulée.
Allumez le radiateur.
Ouvrez la porte et utilisez les trois interrupteurs pour choisir
le mode de fonctionnement souhaité :
•Pour un effet de flamme décoratif uniquement, mettez
l'interrupteur ON/OFF sur ON et les deux autres interrupteurs
sur OFF.
•Pour une chaleur faible, mettez l'interrupteur ON/OFF et
l'interrupteur I sur ON et le troisième interrupteur sur OFF.
•Pour une chaleur élevée, mettez les trois interrupteurs sur
ON.
Ne touchez pas la grille de sortie d'air quand le radiateur est
en fonctionnement car elle sera chaude et vous pourriez
donc vous brûler.

COUT DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Au moment où nous imprimons cette notice, le coût moyen
de l'électricité en France est de 0,13€ par unité (kilowatt-
heure).
A ce prix, le coût moyen de fonctionnement de l'appareil est
de 0,20€ par heure quand le radiateur est en mode chaleur
élevée et 0,10€ par heure quand le radiateur est en mode
chaleur faible.
En mode ''effet décoratif de flamme'', le EH1432 coûtera
seulement 0,01€ par heure.
TEST DE CONFORMITE
Quand cet appareil est utilisé en milieu professionnel, il doit
être contrôlé tous les ans par un électricien qualifié qui
vérifiera la conformité aux normes électriques en vigueur sur
les lieux de travail. Quand cet appareil est utilisé à la maison,
il est bon le faire contrôler régulièrement.
CONSIGNES GENERALES DE SECURITE
Le câblage domestique doit être contrôlé périodiquement par
un électricien qualifié au moins une fois tous les 10 ans ou à
chaque changement d'occupant. En ce qui concerne les
bureaux et locaux commerciaux, et les bâtiments comme les
salles des fêtes, le câblage doit être contrôlé au moins une
fois tous les 5 ans.
Il est fortement conseillé d'équiper les bâtiments de
détecteurs de fumée (ceci est obligatoire pour les nouveaux
bâtiments).
ENTRETIEN
Eteignez le radiateur avant de le nettoyer.
Le radiateur doit être nettoyé en utilisant un chiffon humide
avec une goutte de liquide vaisselle pour enlever la

poussière ou la saleté. N'utilisez pas de détergents forts ni de
solvants car cela abîmerait le plastique. A l'aide d'un pinceau
sec (25 mm), enlevez la poussière des grilles. Si le cordon
d'alimentation est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un
électricien confirmé.
Procédez comme suit :
•Connectez le câble marron sur le bornier libellé ''L''.
•Connectez le câble bleu sur le bornier libellé ''N''.
•Connectez le câble vert/jaune sur le bornier libellé ''E'' ou
portant le symbole terre.
•Vérifiez que le serre-câble est positionné correctement (sur
la gaine extérieure du câble) et qu'il est bien serré.
Si l'ampoule présente des signes de faiblesse, elle peut être
remplacée comme suit:
Eteignez et débranchez le radiateur. Enlevez le couvercle
situé à l'arrière de l'appareil et libellé ''please change the bulb
here'' (merci de changer l'ampoule ici). Retirez l'ampoule
défectueuse et remplacez-la par une ampoule neuve 40W
avec un culot Edison E14 à visser.
Remettez le couvercle en place.
DEFAUTS DE FONCTIONNEMENT
Le EH1432 possède un système de sécurité en cas de
basculement si le radiateur tombe. S'il ne fonctionne,
remettez-le en position verticale.
Le EH1432 possède une protection en cas de surchauffe qui
déconnecte le courant si l'appareil devient trop chaud. La
raison la plus courante est que les entrées ou sorties d'air
sont obstruées et que les grilles sont bloquées. Si le
radiateur cesse de fonctionner, laissez-lui 20 minutes pour
refroidir puis vérifiez que les grilles ne sont pas obstruées.
A l'aide des interrupteurs, sélectionnez ''Flame effect only''
(Effet de flamme uniquement) puis rebranchez l'appareil. Si
l'effet flamme fonctionne, vous pouvez sélectionner le mode

chaleur faible ou chaleur élevée. Si l'effet flamme ne
fonctionne pas, ou si le radiateur se met à nouveau en mode
protection surchauffe, contactez un technicien pour
réparation.

ELIMINATION ET RECYCLAGE
Vous ne devez pas jeter cet appareil avec les ordures
ménagères.
La plupart des communes possèdent un système de collecte
spécifique et gratuit pour ce type d'appareils. Dans le cas
contraire, renseignez-vous après de votre mairie.
Quand vous remplacez l'appareil existant par un appareil
neuf similaire, votre revendeur peut se charger du recyclage
de l'ancien appareil.
GARANTIE
Prem-I-Air garantit le produit contre tout défaut de matériaux
et de fabrication pour une période d'un an.
Si vous utilisez cet appareil dans des conditions autres que
celles recommandées, à des tensions autres que celle
indiquée sur l'appareil ou si vous essayez de modifier ou de
réparer l'appareil, la garantie est annulée.
Le produit que vous achetez peut être légèrement différent
de l'illustration. Cette garantie est en sus et n'affecte pas vos
