General Information
Thisdecorativekitchenhoodisdesignedtobexedtoanyrigidverticalsurface,overthecookingareainthe
kitchen and can be used for extracting the smoke and grease/oil emanating out of food being cooked. The
kitchen hoods are either 60 cm (600 mm) or 90 cm (900 mm) (depending on the model) width and can be used
with60cm/70cm/90cmhobsorgasstovesforbetterperformance.Thekitchenhoodhastobeinthe
extractionmode,whichisductedtotheoutside.Pleasegothroughtheinstallationguidelineproperlyandtake
intoconsiderationthedifculties,whichmayariseduringinstallation.
Components
The kitchen hood is made of the following
components
1. The canopy of the hood and the front panel
is made out of high quality heat resistant and
temperedglass.Thebodyofthehoodhouses
motor, blower, lamps, lters and control
switches.Thepowercordisof230voltsand
5ampssupply.
2. Reduction ange, which also acts as a
uni-directional buttery valve to prevent
cockroaches or rats from entering into the
hood area when the hood is not in use. It
permitsthesmoketogooutofthehood.

HOW TO INSTALL THE PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
Foreasyinstallationofthekitchenhood,pleasefollowtheprocedure
givenbelow.Please ensurethattheinstallationworkisundertaken
by a qualied and competent technician. The company will not be
responsible for any damage and injury caused as a result of incorrect
installation.
Fixing the hood
• Fixthereductionangewiththerubbergasketatthebottom,on
thetopofthehoodwiththehelpofscrewsprovided.
• Draw a centre (vertical) line on the wall from the centre of the
cookingapplianceuptotheceiling,usingamarker.Itisimportant
to align the kitchen hood vertically so that the accumulation of
trappedgrease/oildoesnothappeninoneside.Theaestheticsof
the installed hood would also depend on the vertical and horizontal
alignments.
• Draw a horizontal line ensuring that the vertical distance from the
top of the cooking appliance (Gas burner /hotplate) is 650 mm
to 750 mm depending on the convenience and the height of the
user. The distance should not be more than 750mm for better
effect. This is where the bottom of the kitchen hood should be
aligned.
• Draw a horizontal line from the above line to a distance of 440
mm.Thisisthelineforxingthewallbracket.
• Atthecentreofthisline,drill1hole.
• Draw a vertical line 60 mm from this hole. Drill 2 holes at the
distanceof120mmfromthecentreofthislineonboththesides.

• Insertrawlplugsintothehole.
• Fixthewallbracketprovidedwiththehelpofthescrewsprovidedrigidly.Ensurethatscrewsarexedproperly
to take the load of the kitchen hood
• Then hang the kitchen hood such that the slots provided in the hood goes inside the hook on the mounting
bracket.
• TheninserttheexibleAluminiumpipeintothegrooveprovidedonthereductionange.TheexibleAluminium
pipeisalsoexpandableandcanbeextendedandbenttotakethepipetilltheoutletofthekitchen.
• Ensurestoplacetheendcover,whichwillhelppreventratsandbirdstoenterinsidethechimney.

HOW TO USE YOUR PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
YourPrestigeKitchenhoodissosimpletouse,simplyfollowtheseinstructions
• PrestigeKitchenhoodworkson230voltsACpowersupply.Ensurethatyoursupplymatcheswiththis.Insert
theplugintothesocket.
• The Prestige kitchen hood is provided with a digital display panel and 6 feather touch buttons marked “  ” , 
“ ”,“ ”,“ ”,“ ” and “ ”
To set the clock:
Whenthekitchenhoodisconnectedtomainspower,thedisplaywillshow12:00
• Touch the set “ ” button and hold for 2-3 seconds
• The‘12’onthehoursidewillstartashing.Touchthe“ ” or “ ”buttontosetthehour.
• Now,touchtheset“ ”buttonagainandthe‘00’ontheminutesidewillstartashing.Touchthe“ ” or “
”buttontosettheminute.
• Touch the set “ ”buttonandthetimewillbeset.
Note:Ifthekitchenhoodisdisconnectedfromthemains,youwillhavetosetthetimeagain.
To operate the kitchen hood:
• TouchtheOn/Delay“ ”button.TheKitchenhoodwillenterstandbymode
 Theblowerhasthreespeeds“Slow”,“Medium”and“High”.Thesethreespeedscanbetoggledbetweeneach
other.

• Touch the “ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillstartoperatingslowspeed.
• Touch the “ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillswitchtomediumspeed.
• Touch the “ ”,button.Thekitchenhoodwillswitchtohighspeed.
• Youcantogglebetweenthespeedsbytouchingtherespectivebuttons.
Note:Toswitchoffthekitchenhood,touchtheOn/Delay“ ”button,allthelightswillswitchoff,thefanwill
continuetooperatefor60secondsandthekitchenhoodwillthenswitchoff.However,continuouslytouching
theOn/Delay“ ”buttontwicewillswitchoffthekitchenhoodimmediately.
Selection of Speed :
SlowSpeed:Slowspeedshouldbeselectedwhensimmeringorusingonlyonepan,thenoiselevelinthisspeed
iskepttotheminimum.
MediumSpeed:Thisshouldbeselectedfornormalcooking.Thisspeedoffersthebestratiobetweenairsuction
capacityandnoiselevel.
HighSpeed: High Speed should beselected when frying or cookingfood with strongodours even for a long
period.Youmaygetlittlemorenoiseatthisspeedbutthesuctioncapacityisalsohighest.
Operating the lights
• The Prestige kitchen hood is provided with energy saving 2 LED lamps to provide better illumination in the
cookingarea.Thesecanbeswitchedonbytouchingthe“ ”button.

Auto Clean Function
• YourPrestigeKitchenHoodcomeswithauniqueautocleaningfunction.
 Thekitchenhoodisequippedwithaoilcollectortray.Duringcooking,theoilanddirtwhichgetssuckedintothe
kitchenhoodgetsdrainedinthistray,However,overtime,sometracesofoilanddirtgetsstuckinthekitchen
hood.
 Inordertocleanthisstubbornoilanddirt,thekitchenhoodisprovidedwithaAutoCleanmechanism
How to use the “Auto Clean” function
• APlasticcontainerwithalongspoutisprovidedalongwiththekitchenhoodto
llthewatertankofthekitchenhood.Openthecapprovidedonthetopcentre
oftheglassandllthewatertankwithcleanwater.Donotoverllthetankasthe
overowedwatercancausedamagetothekitchenhood.Pleasellwaterwiththe
providedaccessorytoavoidspliiageofwater.
• TouchtheOn/Delay“ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillenterstandbymode.
• NowtouchtheAutoClean“ ”button.Areversetimerof50 secondswillget
activatedandtheautocleanindicatorwillstartblinking.
• The fan of the kitchen hood will start operating at slow speed and a special motor in the kitchen hood will force
thewaterintheinnerchamberofthekitchenhood.
• Thisowingwatercleanstheinnerportionkitchenhoodofgreaseanddirtandgetscollectedintheoilcollector
trayprovidedatthebackofthelter.
• Theautocleanfunctionwillstopoperatingafterthelapseof50seconds.Waitforaminuteormoreafterthe
auto clean function stops
• Carefullyremovetheoilcollectortraybyslidingittowardsyouanddrainthecollectedwaterinasink.
 Cleantheoilcollectortraywithcleanwater,wipeandslideitbackalongtherailsinthekitchenhood.
Note: The auto cleaning process is only for the cleaning of blower. However, the lter should be cleaned
manuallyonaregularbasis.

•Donotconnectthehoodtochimneys,ventilationpipesorhotairpipes.
•Besurethereisadequateventilation,evenincasewherethehoodistobeusedsimultaneouslywithanother
product.
•Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the main voltage corresponds with the voltage on the rating
plateinsidethehood.
•Wheninstalledthehoodmustbepositioned650mmMin.and750mmMax.abovethecookingappliance.
•Never do ambécookingunderthiskitchenhood.
•Neverleavefryingfoodunattendedsincegreasecanoverheatandcatchre.Theriskofreisevengreaterin
caseofusedoil.
•Donothavealightedameunderthehood.SwitchONthehoodonlyafterplacingthecookingvesselonthe
heatsource.
•Neverleavefryingpansunattendedduringuseasoverheatedfatsandoilsmaycatchre.
•Beforecarryingoutanykindofmaintenanceorcleaningdisconnectthehoodfromthemainssupply.
•Neverletthechildrentooperatethekitchenhood.
•DonottouchthelightswithhandwhentheyON.Thehotlampsmayburnyourhands.
•Thekitchen hood should be strictly usedfor household purpose only.Thiskitchen hood is not suitablefor
barbecuingandcommercialpurposes.
•For getting the maximum benet of the kitchen hood, the kitchen hood and the lters should be cleaned
regularly.
•Alwayscovertheoutletofthepipeofthehoodwithameshtoprevententryofcockroaches,ratsetc.
