General Information
Thisdecorativekitchenhoodisdesignedtobexedtoanyrigidverticalsurface,overthecookingareainthe
kitchen and can be used for extracting the smoke and grease/oil emanating out of food being cooked. The
kitchen hoods are either 60 cm (600 mm) or 90 cm (900 mm) (depending on the model) width and can be used
with60cm/70cm/90cmhobsorgasstovesforbetterperformance.Thekitchenhoodhastobeinthe
extractionmode,whichisductedtotheoutside.Pleasegothroughtheinstallationguidelineproperlyandtake
intoconsiderationthedifculties,whichmayariseduringinstallation.
Components
The kitchen hood is made of the following
components
1. The canopy of the hood and the front panel
is made out of high quality heat resistant and
temperedglass.Thebodyofthehoodhouses
motor, blower, lamps, lters and control
switches.Thepowercordisof230voltsand
5ampssupply.
2. Reduction ange, which also acts as a
uni-directional buttery valve to prevent
cockroaches or rats from entering into the
hood area when the hood is not in use. It
permitsthesmoketogooutofthehood.

HOW TO INSTALL THE PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
Foreasyinstallationofthekitchenhood,pleasefollowtheprocedure
givenbelow.Please ensurethattheinstallationworkisundertaken
by a qualied and competent technician. The company will not be
responsible for any damage and injury caused as a result of incorrect
installation.
Fixing the hood
• Fixthereductionangewiththerubbergasketatthebottom,on
thetopofthehoodwiththehelpofscrewsprovided.
• Draw a centre (vertical) line on the wall from the centre of the
cookingapplianceuptotheceiling,usingamarker.Itisimportant
to align the kitchen hood vertically so that the accumulation of
trappedgrease/oildoesnothappeninoneside.Theaestheticsof
the installed hood would also depend on the vertical and horizontal
alignments.
• Draw a horizontal line ensuring that the vertical distance from the
top of the cooking appliance (Gas burner /hotplate) is 650 mm
to 750 mm depending on the convenience and the height of the
user. The distance should not be more than 750mm for better
effect. This is where the bottom of the kitchen hood should be
aligned.
• Draw a horizontal line from the above line to a distance of 440
mm.Thisisthelineforxingthewallbracket.
• Atthecentreofthisline,drill1hole.
• Draw a vertical line 60 mm from this hole. Drill 2 holes at the
distanceof120mmfromthecentreofthislineonboththesides.

• Insertrawlplugsintothehole.
• Fixthewallbracketprovidedwiththehelpofthescrewsprovidedrigidly.Ensurethatscrewsarexedproperly
to take the load of the kitchen hood
• Then hang the kitchen hood such that the slots provided in the hood goes inside the hook on the mounting
bracket.
• TheninserttheexibleAluminiumpipeintothegrooveprovidedonthereductionange.TheexibleAluminium
pipeisalsoexpandableandcanbeextendedandbenttotakethepipetilltheoutletofthekitchen.
• Ensurestoplacetheendcover,whichwillhelppreventratsandbirdstoenterinsidethechimney.

• PrestigeKitchenhoodworkson230voltsACpowersupply.Ensurethatyoursupplymatcheswiththis.Insert
theplugintothesocket.
• The Prestige kitchen hood is provided with a digital display panel and 6 feather touch buttons marked “ ” ,
“ ”,“ ”,“ ”,“ ” and “ ”
To set the clock:
Whenthekitchenhoodisconnectedtomainspower,thedisplaywillshow12:00
• Touch the set “ ” button and hold for 2-3 seconds
• The‘12’onthehoursidewillstartashing.Touchthe“ ” or “ ”buttontosetthehour.
• Now,touchtheset“ ”buttonagainandthe‘00’ontheminutesidewillstartashing.Touchthe“ ” or “
”buttontosettheminute.
• Touch the set “ ”buttonandthetimewillbeset.
Note:Ifthekitchenhoodisdisconnectedfromthemains,youwillhavetosetthetimeagain.
To operate the kitchen hood:
• TouchtheOn/Delay“ ”button.TheKitchenhoodwillenterstandbymode
Theblowerhasthreespeeds“Slow”,“Medium”and“High”.Thesethreespeedscanbetoggledbetweeneach
other.

• Touch the “ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillstartoperatingslowspeed.
• Touch the “ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillswitchtomediumspeed.
• Touch the “ ”,button.Thekitchenhoodwillswitchtohighspeed.
• Youcantogglebetweenthespeedsbytouchingtherespectivebuttons.
Note:Toswitchoffthekitchenhood,touchtheOn/Delay“ ”button,allthelightswillswitchoff,thefanwill
continuetooperatefor60secondsandthekitchenhoodwillthenswitchoff.However,continuouslytouching
theOn/Delay“ ”buttontwicewillswitchoffthekitchenhoodimmediately.
Selection of Speed :
SlowSpeed:Slowspeedshouldbeselectedwhensimmeringorusingonlyonepan,thenoiselevelinthisspeed
iskepttotheminimum.
MediumSpeed:Thisshouldbeselectedfornormalcooking.Thisspeedoffersthebestratiobetweenairsuction
capacityandnoiselevel.
HighSpeed: High Speed should beselected when frying or cookingfood with strongodours even for a long
period.Youmaygetlittlemorenoiseatthisspeedbutthesuctioncapacityisalsohighest.
Operating the lights
• The Prestige kitchen hood is provided with energy saving 2 LED lamps to provide better illumination in the
cookingarea.Thesecanbeswitchedonbytouchingthe“ ”button.

Auto Clean Function
• YourPrestigeKitchenHoodcomeswithauniqueautocleaningfunction.
Thekitchenhoodisequippedwithaoilcollectortray.Duringcooking,theoilanddirtwhichgetssuckedintothe
kitchenhoodgetsdrainedinthistray,However,overtime,sometracesofoilanddirtgetsstuckinthekitchen
hood.
Inordertocleanthisstubbornoilanddirt,thekitchenhoodisprovidedwithaAutoCleanmechanism
How to use the “Auto Clean” function
• APlasticcontainerwithalongspoutisprovidedalongwiththekitchenhoodto
llthewatertankofthekitchenhood.Openthecapprovidedonthetopcentre
oftheglassandllthewatertankwithcleanwater.Donotoverllthetankasthe
overowedwatercancausedamagetothekitchenhood.Pleasellwaterwiththe
providedaccessorytoavoidspliiageofwater.
• TouchtheOn/Delay“ ”button.Thekitchenhoodwillenterstandbymode.
• NowtouchtheAutoClean“ ”button.Areversetimerof50 secondswillget
activatedandtheautocleanindicatorwillstartblinking.
• The fan of the kitchen hood will start operating at slow speed and a special motor in the kitchen hood will force
thewaterintheinnerchamberofthekitchenhood.
• Thisowingwatercleanstheinnerportionkitchenhoodofgreaseanddirtandgetscollectedintheoilcollector
trayprovidedatthebackofthelter.
• Theautocleanfunctionwillstopoperatingafterthelapseof50seconds.Waitforaminuteormoreafterthe
auto clean function stops
• Carefullyremovetheoilcollectortraybyslidingittowardsyouanddrainthecollectedwaterinasink.
Cleantheoilcollectortraywithcleanwater,wipeandslideitbackalongtherailsinthekitchenhood.
Note: The auto cleaning process is only for the cleaning of blower. However, the lter should be cleaned
manuallyonaregularbasis.

•Donotconnectthehoodtochimneys,ventilationpipesorhotairpipes.
•Besurethereisadequateventilation,evenincasewherethehoodistobeusedsimultaneouslywithanother
product.
•Before connecting to the mains supply ensure that the main voltage corresponds with the voltage on the rating
plateinsidethehood.
•Wheninstalledthehoodmustbepositioned650mmMin.and750mmMax.abovethecookingappliance.
•Never do ambécookingunderthiskitchenhood.
•Neverleavefryingfoodunattendedsincegreasecanoverheatandcatchre.Theriskofreisevengreaterin
caseofusedoil.
•Donothavealightedameunderthehood.SwitchONthehoodonlyafterplacingthecookingvesselonthe
heatsource.
•Neverleavefryingpansunattendedduringuseasoverheatedfatsandoilsmaycatchre.
•Beforecarryingoutanykindofmaintenanceorcleaningdisconnectthehoodfromthemainssupply.
•Neverletthechildrentooperatethekitchenhood.
•DonottouchthelightswithhandwhentheyON.Thehotlampsmayburnyourhands.
•Thekitchen hood should be strictly usedfor household purpose only.Thiskitchen hood is not suitablefor
barbecuingandcommercialpurposes.
•For getting the maximum benet of the kitchen hood, the kitchen hood and the lters should be cleaned
regularly.
•Alwayscovertheoutletofthepipeofthehoodwithameshtoprevententryofcockroaches,ratsetc.

USE AND CARE TIPS FOR YOUR PRESTIGE KITCHEN HOOD
Regularmaintenanceandcleaningwillensuregoodperformanceandreliability,whileextendingtheworkinglifeof
thehood.Theeffectivenessofthekitchenhoodalsodependsonthecleanlinessofthelters.
•Whilecleaningthehood, do not useawetclothorspongeorrunningwater.Itcanbewipedwithdampcloth
andcleanedimmediatelywithasoftdrycloth.
•Donotuseabrasivecleaningmaterialswhencleaningasitmayscratchthesurface.
•Theglasssurfacecanbecleanedusingsoftdetergentorliquidsoapforremovingthegreaseandotherstains.
Please use only soft cloth to prevent scratches. Do not pour water on the glass surface immediately after
cooking,astheglassmaybehot.
•DONOTwetelectricalparts.
•Forbetterperformanceofthekitchenhood,cleantheltersonceinaweekfornormalcookingandoncein3
daysifyouaredoingdeepfryingregularly.
•Forcleaningthelter,pleaseremoveitfromthehood.
•DONOTcleanthelterwiththelterxedontothehood.
•Theltershouldbecleanedeveryweekwithnormalusageandcanbecleanedinadishwasherorbyhand
usingamilddetergentorliquidsoap.Itcanalsobedippedinliquidsoapforcleaningandthenrinsedthoroughly
withcoldwater.
•Theltershouldbedriedbeforettingbacktothehood.

HOW TO REMOVE AND CLEAN THE FILTER
Removing the lter
• Rotate the locking knob as shown
• Gentlyslidethelterdown
• Holdingwithboththehands,takethelterout
Cleaning the lter
• The lter can be washed by hand using soapy
wateror,inadishwasher.
• Incaseofstubborndirt,soakthelterovernightin
soapy water and wash thoroughly
• Drythelterthoroughlybeforesecuringthelter
on the hood
• Do not use hard abrasives for cleaning
Rexing the lter
• Locatethetwoprojectionsontheltertothegroovesinthehood
• Push tightly inside and rotate the locking knob

WARRANTY
TTK Prestige Limited (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) warrants to the purchaser of “Prestige Kitchen
Hood”,{hereinafterreferredtoas“KitchenHood”}thattheKitchenHoodisfreefromalldefectsinmaterialand
workmanship.
Thiswarrantyisforlifetime(thelifeoftheKitchenHoodis10years,fromthedateofpurchase),againstinherent
manufacturingdefectsandsubjecttothefollowingtermsandconditions:-
1. TheKitchenHoodshouldbeinstalledbythePurchaserwithin30daysfromthedateofPurchase,onlybythe
AuthorisedServiceCentreortheRegionalServiceCentreoftheCompany.ThelistofCompany’sRegional
ServiceCentres/AuthorisedServiceCentres,islistedintheUser’sManual.
2. AtthetimeofinstallationoftheKitchenHoodbytheCompany’sRegionalServiceCentre/AuthorizedService
Centre,auniqueLifetimeWarranty“LTW”number,wouldbeallocatedtothePurchaser.
3. TheLifetimewarrantycoversonlytheMotor,Blower,PCBandSwitches,oftheKitchenHood.
4. AllotherpartsoftheKitchenHood,suchaslter,lamp,glass,plasticparts,andbodyarenotcoveredunder
thelifetimewarranty,asthesepartsaresubjecttowearandtearandneedsreplacementfromtimetotime,
dependingontheusage.
5. ToavailthebenetsofLifetimeWarranty,thecustomerhastoindicatetheLTWnumber(soallottedtothe
Purchaser by the Company), and to produce the Original Purchase Invoice, to the Company’s Regional
ServiceCentre/AuthorizedServiceCentre.
6. TheLifetimewarrantywillbetreatedasnullandvoid,incasethePurchaserfailstogettheKitchenHood
installedandLifetimewarrantyregisteredwiththeCompany,within30daysofpurchase.
7. ThePurchasershouldgettheKitchenHoodserviced,byregisteringservicerequestwiththeCompany’sCall
Centre,onceinevery06months.
8. Novisiting(conveyance/travel)chargeswillbeleviedforvisitsmadebytheCompany’sauthorizedtechnician/
representative,tothePurchaserregisteredaddress,forservice/assistancefortherst2Years,fromthedate
ofpurchase.

9. Servicessuchasinspectionand/orcleaningofKitchenHoodwillalwaysbechargeabletothePurchasereven
duringrst2years.
10.Afterinitial2YearsfromthedateofPurchaseoftheKitchenHood,thevisitandservicewillbeonchargeable
basisasperthechargesspeciedbythecompany.HoweverpartscoveredunderLifetimewarrantysuchas
Motor,Blower,PCBandswitcheswillbereplaced/rectiedfreeofcostandallotherpartswillberectied/
replacedonchargeablebasis.
11.The Purchaser shall maintain the Kitchen Hood, strictly in accordance with the instructions, mentioned in
User’sManual.TheLifetimewarrantystandsterminated,ifitisfoundthattheKitchenHoodisnotmaintained
/servicedaspertheinstructions,containedintheUser’sManual.
12.TheCompanyshallmakeallendeavor’s/attemptstocarryouttheservice/replacementunderthiswarrantyat
theearliest,butshallnotbeliabletodosowithinanyspeciedtime.
13.Thewarrantywillcontinueandremaininforceonlyfortheunexpiredperiodoftheoriginalwarranty,withrespect
toanyrepair/replacementofpartsoftheKitchenHood.(Totalwarrantycommencesfromtheactualdateof
purchaseoftheKitchenHood,asperPurchaseinvoice)
14.TheKitchenHoodshallbeusedstrictlyfordomesticpurposes,inaccordancewiththeUser’sManual.
15.TheCompanyshallnotbeheldliableforanyaccident,lossordamage(directorindirect)topersonorproperty
and/ortheWarrantywouldbeInvalidunderthefollowingamongstcircumstances:-
a)IfInstallationoftheKitchenHoodisnotdonebytheCompanyRegionalServiceCentreoftheAuthorised
ServiceCentre,
b)IfthePurchaserfailstoregisterandobtaintheuniqueLifetimeWarrantyNumber,fromtheCompany,within
30days,fromthedateofPurchaseoftheKitchenHood.
c)Repairs/serviceattendedbyunauthorizedserviceperson.
d)Damagesarisingoutofmisuse,abuseand/ornegligenceonthepartofthePurchaser.

e)Defectscausedbyimproper/recklessuse.
f)Useofspuriousspares/old,non-genuinespares.
g)FailuretocomplywiththetermsandconditionsoftheUser’sManual.
h)OriginalserialnumberoftheKitchenHoodisdeleted/defacedoraltered.
16.Thewarrantydoesnotcoverdamagesduetonegligence,mishandlingwhichmayleadtobreakageoflters
anddentsonstainlesssteelbody.
17.TheCompanyshallnotberesponsibleforanyspecialconsequentialdamagesorlossarisingdirectlyorindirectly
foranydelayintheperformanceofthiswarranty.
18.TheCompanyreservestherighttoretainanypartorcomponentattheRegionalServiceCentre/branchesor
AuthorizedServiceCentreoratitsworkshopandshalleffectRepairs/Replacementofpartsorcomponentsat
itssolediscretion.
19.DuringthevalidityoftheTermofthisWarranty,theCompanyshallatitssolediscretionrepairorreplacethe
KitchenHood.
20.Notwithstandinganything,thePurchaseragreesthat,theliabilityoftheCompany,underthisWarranty,shallin
nocase,exceedthepriceoftheKitchenHood,paidbythePurchaser,atthetimeofhis/herPurchase.
21.Incaseofcomplaint/disputes,intermsofthisWarranty,onlycompetentCourt/satBangaloreshallhavethe
exclusivejurisdiction.
22.Electricalappliances,wirepointsneedregularcheckupbyanauthorizedserviceperson.
23.Electricalappliancesarepronetovoltageuctuationrisks,thereforeprecautionshouldbetakenbeforeuse.
Companyshallnotberesponsibleforanydamagetoelectricalparts,viz.coil,motoretc.arisingoutofthis
problem.
24.Thedecisionofthecompanyisnalinallcasesofdispute.
