To use Sharpening Stone: push one side of blade
against Sharpening Stone as if shaving a thin layer from
the Sharpening Stone; push other side of blade similarly
against Sharpening Stone. Work from tip to heel of
blade so entire blade is sharpened. Repeat until both
sides of Survival Straight Edge Knife blade are sharp.

Grasp the Flint Fire Starter rmly by the handle. FIRST, scrape
black coating from metal stem of Flint Fire Starter. Hold bare
metal stem against tinder pile or tissue. Scrape back of Survival
Straight Edge Knife against the metal stem repeatedly until spark
is created. Do not use knife blade to scrape metal stem. Stronger
scraping results in more sparks. Use tinder containing dry wood
or tissue. Dry material will start a re more eciently. When
using Flint Fire Starter, nd a safe outdoors area out of direct
wind. Take proper precautions to prevent spread of any re.
