Preparing for Use
CONNECT TO POWER SOURCE
Position the charging dock on a level, non-slippery surface in a convenient
location near the desired power source. Be careful to situate both pieces
so they are not in danger of falling or sliding into your sink, as neither the
charging dock nor the unit should ever be submerged in water.
CHARGE THE UNIT
Before use, fully charge the battery. Aer connecting the charging dock
to a power source, place the VarioSonic into the charging dock.
The charge level indicator will illuminate when unit is ready to use.
VarioSonic will function for up to three weeks of normal usage before
requiring recharging. While it is not necessary to place the unit into the
charging dock aer each use, doing so will help it dry properly and
maintain a secure, upright position.

Choosing A Brush Head
VarioSonic brush heads are scientifically designed for safe, gentle cleaning. All
are highly effective at removing plaque for better gum health. We recommend
that you try each one and assess your progress aer several brushing sessions.
The ideal brush head will leave you feeling refreshed and thoroughly clean
without any lingering sensitivity. (Note: Those with significant sensitivity should
begin with V105 before progressing.)
REMOVE FROM PACKAGING
Carefully remove the brush head from its envelope. If desired, thoroughly
rinse the entire brush head under running water prior to use.
ATTACH BRUSH HEAD
With the brush head facing toward the front of your VarioSonic unit, insert it
onto attachment point by pushing down firmly. Gently tug the brush head
upward to ensure it is securely attached before use.
REMOVING/CHANGING THE BRUSH HEAD
Hold the VarioSonic unit firmly with one hand. Using your other hand,
gently grasp the brush head by the plastic portion (not the bristles)
and pull upward to remove.
REPLACING WORN BRUSH HEADS
Replace the brush head aer three months of normal use or when it becomes
worn, whichever comes first. Soer bristles will need to be replaced more
frequently. See page 17 for reordering information.

V105:
FEATHER SOFT for the most sensitive teeth
and gums. Tapered for gentle cleaning power.
V110:
ULTRA SOFT with longer, curved bristles.
Slightly stiffer than V105 yet still very gentle.
V130:
HYBRID SOFT combines two types of bristle
fibers to reach deeper between teeth.
V180:
EXTRA SOFT has shorter bristles with gentle
curvature.
V200M:
NORMAL SOFT for those with healthy gums.
(This brush head is most similar to ‘normal’ so
manual toothbrushes.)

Selecting the Cleaning Mode
VarioSonic offers five distinct brushing modes designed to maximize the
cleaning power of our exclusive brush heads by optimizing three key
parameters: rotational velocity, dynamic motion and articulation. All five modes
offer highly effective cleaning. Simply choose one that feels right for you
and leaves you feeling most refreshed.
SELECT MODE
Press the mode selector button to begin the brushing cycle. Pressing the
button once starts the brush in mode 5, our strongest setting. Pressing the
button again (within three seconds) moves to the next mode, and the next
mode aer that. (For example: to select mode 2, press the button four times
with no more than three seconds in between.) If you wait longer than
3 seconds to press the button, it will turn the brush on and off.
USING THE TIMER
VarioSonic features a built-in timer automatically programmed for the
ideal two-minute brushing session. See page 11 for more information.

Mode 5 is our strongest, for every day cleaning of healthy teeth
and gums. Mode 1 is our most sensitive, for those who struggle with
sensitive teeth and gums. And, we have 3 modes in between. Pair the
best PRO-SYS VarioSonic brush with the vibration mode that suits
your dentition.

STOPPING THE BRUSH
Press the mode selector button at any time aer the brush has
been operating for three seconds or more to end the cycle.
BRUSH EACH QUADRANT FOR 30 SECONDS
VarioSonic’s electronic timer is programmed for the ideal two minute
brushing session. Dividing your mouth into four sections, brush each for
30 seconds. VarioSonic will pause at 30 seconds intervals as a reminder
to move to the next quadrant.
USE GENTLE PRESSURE
Let the brush do all the work. Use only enough pressure to
maintain brush contact with your teeth and gums. This is a key
benefit of VarioSonic compared to manual toothbrushes in that
you experience deep, effective cleaning without exerting excess
pressure that can damage teeth and gums over the long term and
cause or exacerbate sensitivity.
VarioSonic is more effective and efficient than ordinary toothbrushes.
Follow these tips to ensure you’re enjoying the best brushing experience
every time.
SELECT A MODE TO BEGIN BRUSHING
Pushing the mode selector button will cause the brush to move
and begin its cleaning cycle. Press the mode selector button
according to the instructions on page 9 until you have selected the
desired cleaning mode.

TO CLEAN YOUR VARIOSONIC
Important: NEVER submerge the charging dock or VarioSonic unit in water.
If either piece has been accidentally submerged, safely disconnect from the
power source immediately. DO NOT attempt to operate aer being fully
submerged as damage may have occurred.
AFTER EVERY USE:
• Rinse the brush head thoroughly under running water until it is free
of all remaining toothpaste and debris. For quicker cleaning, you may
turn the unit on to activate brush head movement. Be careful to avoid
water splatter.
• If necessary, wipe your VarioSonic unit with a damp, so cloth.
• Allow to air dry.
AFTERREPEATEDUSAGE
• Remove the brush head and wipe away any accumulated
toothpaste and debris.
• Disconnect the charging dock from power source and wipe clean
with a so, damp cloth.
• Allow all parts to air dry before reassembly.

PROBLEM:
The toothbrush will not operate.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
Toothbrush may require charging.
SOLUTION:
Check the charge level indicator to confirm there is
charge remaining. If not, charge the brush fully.
PROBLEM:
The toothbrush is not charging.
POSSIBLE CAUSE:
Toothbrush may not be properly inserted into the charging dock.
• The charging dock may not be connected to a power source.
• Ambient temperature may be too hot or cold for charging
to safely occur.
• Cables may be damaged and require replacement.
SOLUTION:
• Confirm that the toothbrush is fully inserted into the charging dock.
• Check that the charging dock is connected to a power source.
• Ensure the unit is being used in a room temperature environment.
• Safely disconnect from power source. Inspect cables for
damage. If damaged, do not operate the unit. Contact customer
service for replacement part(s).

when it is time to move to the next quadrant.
SOLUTION:
Unit is operating properly. See page 11.

YOUR VARIOSONIC HAS A 1-YEAR WARRANTY.
If malfunction cannot be remedied by
following the instructions above, discontinue
use immediately and contact customer
service. Damage may have occurred and/or
certain parts may be defective.

NEVER:
