Foodtemperatures
Theactionofmicrowavesissuchthatonlythefoodisheated.Thecontainermay,
therefore,remaincoldorcoolwhilethefoodthatitcontainsisburninghot.
Toavoidanyriskofburning,alwaysstirbeforeservingandcheckthetemperature
carefullybeforeserving‐especiallytochildren.
Shakefeedingbottleswellandtryafewdropsonthebackofyourwristtocheckthe
temperature.
Preparingfoodforcooking
Beforewarmingfeedingbottlesandsmallpots,removeteatsandcovers.
Remembertocoverthefoodinorderto:
•avoidanysplashingoftheovencavity,
•retainsufficientmoistureforcooking.
Heatingliquids
Whenheatingliquids,asuddenoverflowmayoccurwhenyoutakethecontainerto
removeitfromtheappliance.Infact,whenthetemperaturereachesboilingpoint,
steamtendstoremaintrappedintheliquiduntilitisdisturbed.
Toavoidthissuperheatingeffectandtheconsequentriskofscalding,alwaysplacea
plasticspoonintheliquidtobeheated.
Acontainercaneasilybetestedformicrowave“transparency”:
Placetheemptycontainerontheturntabletogetherwithaglassofwaterandrun
theovenforoneminuteatmaximumpower.
Afteroneminute:
•ifthecontaineriscold,itis“transparent”andcanbeusedformicrowavecooking,
•ifthecontaineriswarmorhotitisabsorbentandmustnotbeusedfor
microwavecooking.
ChildLock
Thechildlockpreventstheovenfrombeingoperatedunintentionallyorby
unsupervisedchildren.
•Tosetthechildlock,keep pressedandthenpress.

Frequentcleaningpreventstheformationofsmokeandbadodoursduringcooking
andalsosparkingintheovencavityandaroundthedoorseal.
