Die Betriebsanleitung ist bis zur Stilllegung des Produktes für den Benutzer bereitzustellen.
Alle Angaben beziehen sich auf neuwertige Produkte.
Wenn Sie Schutzeinrichtungen entfernen oder verändern oder bauliche Veränderungen vornehmen
entfällt jegliche Haftung des Herstellers.
Diese Betriebsanleitung entspricht dem Stand der Auslieferung des Produkts.
Für unrichtige Angaben und Produktbeschädigungen aufgrund unsachgemäßen Gebrauchs
übernimmt ProLux Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG keine Haftung.
Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Der Luftkompressor ist geeignet zum nachträglichen Einbau in Fahrzeugen ohne Luftkompressor
(Druckluftanlage).
Er arbeitet ölfrei und kann beispielsweise an Luftfederaggregaten, pneumatisch ausfahrbaren Licht-
masten oder zum Befüllen von Reifen verwendet werden. Mit einem maximalen Druck von 8 bar und
einer Liefermenge von 12 l/min ist der Luftkompressor ausreichend für Lkw-Reifen.
Verwenden Sie den Luftkompressor nur für die in dieser Betriebsanleitung beschriebenen Zwecke.
Jeder anderweitige Gebrauch gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.
Nicht erlaubt
- Der Kompressor darf nur von Personen betätigt werden, die zuvor diese Betriebsanleitung
gelesen haben.
- Betreiben Sie den Kompressor nicht in staubhaltiger Luft.
- Halten Sie entammbare Gegenstände oder Teile aus Nylon bzw. Stoe vom laufenden
Kompressor fern. Es besteht Brandgefahr.
- Setzen Sie den Kompressor nicht in Betrieb, wenn die Anschlusskabel Beschädigungen aufweisen
oder der Stromanschluss nicht sicher bzw. überlastet ist.

Organisatorische Maßnahmen und Sicherheit
- Lassen Sie den Kompressor im laufenden Betrieb nicht unbeaufsichtigt.
- Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller vorgenommen werden.
- Berühren Sie während und nach dem Betrieb den Kompressor nicht, da dieser heiß werden kann.
- Lassen Sie den Kompressor nicht länger als 15 Minuten am Stück eingeschaltet lassen
(Überhitzungsgefahr!).
- Der Kompressor darf nur mit einer 30A-Sicherung betrieben werden! Eine höhere oder niedrigere
Amperezahl der Sicherung ist nicht zulässig. Wenn Sie mehrere Kompressoren verbauen, benötigt
jeder Kompressor seine eigene Sicherung.
- Lassen Sie während des Betriebs des Kompressors stets den Motor des Fahrzeuges laufen. Der
Kompressor ist so schneller Einsatzbereit und es verhindert ein Entladen der Fahrzeugbatterie.
- Der Kompressor darf nur mit einer funktionsfähigen und voll geladenen Fahrzeugbatterie betrieben
werden, andernfalls kann die Spule des Kompressors durch den hohen Anlaufstrom (bei zu
geringer Spannung) beschädigt werden.
- Der Kompressor sollte eben und sicher befestigt sein.
- Der Kompressor sollte möglichst nah an der Batterie platziert sein.
- Den Kompressor darf während des Betriebs und der Lagerung nicht in Kontakt mit Wärmequellen
und Flüssigkeiten kommen.
Installationshinweise
Die Installation des Kompressors muss von einem Fachmann vorgenommen werden.
Bei der Installation müssen folgende Hinweise beachtet werden:
1. Trennen Sie das Massekabel von der Fahrzeugbatterie.
2. Positionieren Sie den Kompressor an einem geeigneten Einbauort und befestigen Sie diesen
sicher.
3. Verbinden Sie das rote Spannungsversorgungskabel des Kompressors mit dem (+)Pol einer
Spannungsquelle.
4. Verbinden Sie das Massekabel wieder mit der Fahrzeugbatterie.
5. Lassen Sie den Kompressor laufen und prüfen Sie die korrekte Funktion.
6. Prüfen Sie alle Luftleitungen auf Dichtigkeit.
Hinweis: Achten Sie bei einer Verlängerung der elektrischen Leitungen auf den richtigen Kabel
querschnitt.
Inbetriebnahme
Der Kompressor schaltet sich automatisch ein und baut einen Druck von ca. 8 bar auf.
Bei Erreichen von 8 bar schaltet sich der Kompressor automatisch ab. Verringert sich der Druck um
ca. 2 bar schaltet sich der Kompressor wieder ein und gleicht den Druckverlust aus. Es ergibt sich so
ein Arbeitsbereich von ca. 6 bis 8 bar.
Beachten Sie die maximale Einschaltdauer (15 Minuten) und halten Sie diese ein.
Ggf. längere Pausen zur Abkühlung einlegen.
Wir empfehlen, während des Kompressorbetriebs den Fahrzeugmotor laufen zu lassen
(bei laufendem Motor für ausreichende Belüftung sorgen).
Wartung
Achtung:
Unterbrechen Sie vor jeder Wartungsarbeit bzw. Störungsbeseitigung unbedingt die
Spannungsversorgung und sorgen Sie dafür, dass der gesamte Kompressor drucklos ist.
- Der Ansauglter muss spätestens nach 100 Betriebsstunden gereinigt werden. Beim Einsatz in
schmutziger Umgebung verringert sich dieser Zeitraum entsprechend.

- Prüfen und reinigen Sie die elektrischen Anschlüsse regelmäßig.
- Prüfen Sie die Befestigung des Kompressors regelmäßig und ziehen Sie diese erforderlichenfalls
nach.
- Befreien Sie den Kompressor regelmäßig von Staub und Schmutz.
- Der Kompressor besitzt eine Dauerschmierung! Nachschmieren ist nicht notwendig.
- Reparaturen dürfen nur vom Hersteller oder autorisierten Fachhändler durchgeführt werden.
Instandsetzung
Die Instandsetzung darf nur durch sachkundige Personen durchgeführt werden und unterliegt der
Entscheidung von ProLux!
Versuchen Sie nie selbst Reparaturen am Produkt auszuführen!
Sollten Zweifel am ordnungsgemäßen Zustand bestehen ist der Luftkompressor für die Inspektion
durch einen Sachverständigen außer Betrieb zu nehmen.
Wiederkehrende Prüfungen
Führen Sie vor jedem Einsatz eine Sichtprüfung durch, um eventuelle Beschädigungen festzustellen.
Beschädigte Kompressoren dürfen nicht eingesetzt werden und müssen für die Inspektion durch
einen Sachverständigen außer Betrieb genommen werden.
Fehlerbeseitigung
a) Kompressor schaltet sich nicht ein:
Überprüfen Sie die Verbindung mit der Stromquelle. Prüfen Sie, ob die Fahrzeugzündung
eingeschaltet werden muss. Prüfen Sie, ob die der Stromquelle zugeordnete Sicherung ausgelöst
hat. Ersetzen Sie eine ausgelöste Sicherung jedoch nur mit einer baugleichen Sicherung mit dem
identischen Wert.
b) Kompressor läuft, jedoch füllt sich der zu befüllende Gegenstand nicht:
Überprüfen Sie die Verbindung mit dem jeweiligen Füllventil des Gegenstandes. Prüfen Sie, ob der zu
füllende Gegenstand Undichtigkeiten aufweist. Prüfen Sie, ob der Druckschlauch des Kompressors
Undichtigkeiten aufweist.
c) Kompressor läuft langsamer als zu Beginn des Füllvorgangs:
Maximaler Druck ist aufgebaut. Achtung: Überfüllung prüfen!
Die maximale kontinuierliche Laufzeit ist erreicht oder überschritten. Kompressor unbedingt
abschalten, abkühlen lassen! Die Stromversorgung hat nicht (mehr) genügend Kapazität.
Batterie evtl. schwach.
Garantie
Die Garantie erlischt bei unsachgemäßer Nutzung des Produkts und wenn die Hinweise dieser
Betriebsanleitung nicht beachtet werden.
Weitergehende Garantiebestimmungen sind den AGB der ProLux Systemtechnik GmbH & Co. KG
zu entnehmen.

Basic instructions
It is urgently necessary to make sure you have read the original instruction and that all information
and instructions have been taken into account thoroughly before the rst application.
The user has to keep the manual close at hand as long as the product is not shut down. All data refers
to new products.
In case that you remove, change, or make any structural alterations to the protection device,
all liability on the part of the manufacturer is extinguished.
This manual corresponds to the state of the delivery of the product. ProLux Systemtechnik GmbH &
Co. KG cannot be made liable for any incorrect statements and damages of the product occuring due
to non-compliance with the manual.
Intended use
The air compressor is suitable for the retrotting in vehicles without air compressor (compressed air
systems).
The oil-free working air compressor may be used for air suspension systems, for pneumatically exten-
dable light poles, or for the ination of tyres. The maximum pressure of 8 bar and the delivery volume
of 12 l/min of the air compressor are sucient for HGV tyres.
Do only use the compressor for the application as described in this manual. Any use beyond the
scope of the intended purpose shall be deemed as being not in conformity with the intended purpose.
Not allowed
- The compressor is only to be used by persons who have read the manual beforehand.
- Do not use the compressor in dust-containing air.
- Keep any ammable objects or parts made of nylon or any fabric away from the running
compressor. There is danger of re.
- Do not start the compressor if the connection cables show any damages or if the power supply is
not secured or overcharged.

Organisational measures and security
- Do not leave the running compressor unattended at any time.
- Repair works are only to be carried out by the manufacturer.
- Do not touch the compressor during or shortly after use as it can get very hot.
- Do not run the compressor for any longer than 15 minutes in a row (risk of overheating!).
- The compressor may only be run with a 30 A fuse! Any higher or lower amperage is not permitted.
If you use more than one compressor, you must make sure that every compressor is equipped with
its own fuse.
- Do always keep the engine of the vehicle on while the compressor is in use. That way, the
compressor is ready for use faster and prevents discharge of the vehicle‘s battery.
- The compressor may only be used with an operational and fully loaded battery. The coil of the
compressor might otherwise be damaged by the high starting current (if the voltage is too low).
- The compressor should be evenly and securely fastened.
- The compressor should be located as close to the battery as possble.
- The compressor mustn‘t get in contact with either sources of heat or liquids during operation and
storage.
Installation instructions
The installation of the compressor must be carried out by a specialist.
The following instructions must be adhered to before installation:
1. Disconnect the earth cable from the vehicle‘s battery.
2. Select a suitable location for a secure positioning and fastening of the compressor.
3. Connect the red voltage supply cable with the (+) pole of a voltage source.
4. Re-connect the earth cable with the vehicle‘s battery.
5. Turn the compressor on and check the correct function.
6. Check all air ducts for tighntness.
Information: Make sure that you use the correct wire size when extending the electric line.
Start-up
The compressor switches automatically on and builds up a pressure of approx. 8 bar. When the pres-
sure has reached 8 bar, the compressor switches o automatically. If the pressure is reduced by about
2 bar, the compressor switches itself on again and compensates the loss of pressure. This results in a
work range of approx. 6 to 8 bar.
Please note the maximum duty cycle (15 min) and observe it. Take longer breaks for cooldown if
necessary.
It is recommended to keep the vehicle‘s engine running as long as the compressor is in use (always
make sure there is sucient ventilation).
Maintenance
Warning:
It is urgently necessary that you disconnect the power supply and make sure that there
is no pressure left inside the compressor before starting any maintenance work or fault
clearance.
- The suction lter must be cleaned after 100 operating hours at the latest. If used in dirty
environment, the above mentioned period of time decreases accordingly.

- Check and clean the electrical connections on a regular basis.
- Regularly check the xing material of the compressor and tighten it if necessary.
- Regularly clean the compressor from dust and dirt.
- The compressor is tted with a permanent lubrication! No re-lubrication necessary.
- Repairs are only to be carried out by the manufacturer or by an authorised specialist dealer.
Repair
Any kind of repair is only to be carried out by qualied persons and underlies the decision of ProLux!
Do never carry out any repairs on the product yourself!
In case of any doubts about the proper condition, the air compressor should be taken away from use
for inspection by an expert.
Periodic inspections
Always carry out a visual check before each use in order to nd any possible damages.
Damaged compressors are not to be used and must be taken away from use for inspection
by an expert.
Troubleshooting
a) Compressor does not turn on:
Check the connection to the power source. Check if the vehicle ignition needs to be switched on.
Check if the fuse, associated with the power source, has been blown. Do not replace the blown fuse
with any fuse other than the identical type with the identical parameters.
b) The compressor is turned on but the container to be lled is not being lled:
Check the connection to the respective ller valve of the container. Check if the container to be lled
shows any leaks. Check if the hose of the container shows any leaks.
c) The compressor runs slower than at the beginning of the lling procedure:
The maximum pressure has been reached. Warning: check for overlling!
The maximum running time has been reached or exceeded. The compressor must be switched o and
cooled down! There isn‘t enough power consumption capacity left. The battery might be low.
Warranty
Warranty will be removed in case of inappropriate use of the product or if the instructions of this
manual have not been complied with.
