PROBOIL.
Descaling Guide
The filter system provided with PROBOIL will help to preve t of the calcificatio (scali g) of the boiler. However it will be
required from time to time that the PROBOIL will eed to be descaled, drai ed a d refilled to e sure the maximum
e ergy efficie cy a d service life from the product especially i hard water areas. Descali g solutio s ca be obtai ed by
co tacti g the service age t show o the label o top of the boiler.
E suri g that the filter system is set up correctly a d replaced as required will reduce the freque cy of descali g
required. If you are regularly eedi g to descale the PROBOIL system the you either eed to replace the filter more
freque tly or check the bypass setup of the filter system.

Avoid co tact with ski a d eyes. I case of co tact with eyes, ri se immediately with ple ty of

⚠ The descali g chemical is acidic a d should o ly be used a d ha dled as i dicated, care should be take ot to
i gest, expose to ski , clothi g or decorative surfaces. Take care whe touchi g all surfaces a d whe disco ecti g or
co ecti g hoses they may be hot a d or ge erate steam, you must use perso al protective wear to preve t accide tal
scaldi g.
1. If required, adjust the PROBOIL temperature
to 80°C (see user guide for more details).
Only If the boiler is already set to a
temperature higher tha 80°C the dispe se
at least 1 litre from the boiler usi g the key
fob, ow allow the boiler to fully fill a d
heat. O ce completed the switch off the
PROBOIL at the fro t co trol pa el (see user
guide / poweri g dow for more details).
2. Wait u til the flexible co ector (B9) has
cooled to a safe touch temperature, this may
take some time.
3. ⚠ E sure the flexible co ector (B9) is
cool to the touch before proceedi g,
afterwards u screw by ha d the flexible
co ector (B9) from the top of the boiler.
Wear suitable gloves to ensure your safety.

4. If the boiler is o ly lightly calcified (scaled) use 1 x 200ml descaler liquid bottle, if the boiler is heavily calcified use 2
x 200ml descaler bottles, if you are u sure we recomme d you use 2 x 200ml bottles.
5. Shake the bottle ge tly the carefully cut the top of the bottle ozzle ope with a pair of scissors.
6. Carefully a d slowly empty the co te ts of the descaler bottle i to the boiler ve t (A7), if access for the bottle
ozzle is difficult a plastic fu el ca be used to help.
⚠ Take care duri g this step as steam is expected to exit the ve t (A7) as the descale solutio is added.
7. Take ote of the time a d wait for no longer than 30 minutes maximum for the descaler liquid to work. It is ormal
for a odour to be prese t duri g this time.
8. Firmly reattach the flexible co ector (B9) to the boiler ve t (A7). Wear suitable gloves to ensure your safety.
9. Switch o the PROBOIL at the fro t co trol pa el (see user guide for more details).
10. Dispe se the e tire co te ts of the boiler usi g the key fob, before immediately switchi g off the PROBOIL at the
fro t co trol pa el (see usi g the product for more details).
11. Drai the remai i g water from the ta k (see drai i g sectio of the user guide for more details).
12. Close the drai (A12).
13. Switch o the PROBOIL at the fro t co trol pa el (see usi g the product i user guide for more details).
14. Allow the PROBOIL to fully fill a d heat to back to a maximum temperature of 80°C this process will take a mi imum
of 20 mi utes, agai it is ormal for a odour to be prese t duri g this time.
15. Repeat steps 10-12 drai i g the boiler e tirely.
16. Disco ect a d stow the drai pipe (A14) & co ector (A13) securely replace the drai cover (A11) a d screw (A10).
17. If required, adjust the temperature to your previous prefere ce (see user guide for more details).
 Should a y taste or odour persist i ormal use after flushi g the u it twice, repeat the flushi g procedure as
described i steps 10 to 14 u til it subsides.
 I the eve t that the boiler is heavily scaled a d followi g the above steps did ot remove all the scale, repeat
the complete descali g procedure. If further descali g does ot clear a y descale war i g o the PROBOIL, please
co tact the service age t usi g the labelled co tact details o top of the boiler.
