ProSound L58AW User manual

PROSOUND radio mics are ideal for the stage bound vocal performer who needs freedom to roam with a quality of sound you’ll find
hard to beat for the price. All models use VHF channels which comply with all DTI regulations and do not
require a user license. The transmitters also feature low voltage circuitry to help extend battery life and to increase sensitivity.
Sonic performance is enhanced by a built in compressor/limiter and high quality microphone capsules.

1. Slide the mic ON/OFF/STANDBY switch to the ON position.
2. Check the signal indicator is lit on your receiver to see if the radio signal is being received.
3. If the signal indicator is lit, begin singing or speaking.
4. During the performance, slide the ON/OFF/STANDBY switch to the STANDBY position when the mic is not being used.
5. When the performance is over, slide the ON/OFF/STANDBY switch to the OFF position to conserve battery power.
USING THE WIRELESS MICROPHONE TRANSMITTER (s) The Transmitter
Always turn down the input level controls on your mixer
then turn off the Body Pack Transmitter before making
any connections.
On/Off switch [1]
Always place this switch in the Off position when
making any connections and when the unit is not in
use (to conserve battery charge).
When in the On position the unit should transmit audio
to the Receiver unit.
To Insert the battery;
Unscrew and open the battery compartment.
Insert a 9V PP3 battery.
Replace the battery compartment cover.
Lo Bat [2]
This LED will illuminate when the charge in your battery
is becoming low. All wireless Audio systems require a
strong signal to achieve stable performance and this
requires a healthy battery. If the 'Lo Bat' LED lights you
must change the battery. It is highly recommended
that you use a fresh battery (or freshly charged
rechargeable) each time you use the unit. It is wise to
always carry a spare battery with you to performances.
Input Connection [3]
Your Body Pack features a 3.5mm minijack input socket
with a threaded 'surefix' connector. Simply insert the
plug and screw it into place and it will not accidentally
become disconnected during your performance.
Input Gain
Use a screwdriver to adjust the gain level to suit the
type of microphone or instrument you are using.
Instrument Users
Guitars produce a relatively low strength output signal.
Turn the Input Gain Screw [4] on the side of the
transmitter to maximum for best results. Users of high
power contact pickups for Acoustic instruments may
find a slightly lower setting more appropriate
depending on the make and model of pickup.
