CLOSED POSITION
With the upper housing placed on the base, this position should be used when the grill is
switched off. It is also the position used when starting up and preheating the grill.
OPEN POSITION
Lift the upper housing to a 100-degree angle. To adjust the grill to this position, lift the
handgrip until you can feel the upper housing locking into this position. Remove your hands
and keep the upper housing in this position until you close it.

The upper and lower grill plates are both in a horizontal position, arranged to form an extra
large cooking area.
To adjust the grill to this position, put one hand on the handgrip and gently push it back
while simultaneously pressing the spring button with your other hand. Push the handgrip
back until the upper grill plate is totally level. If the grill is in an open position and you wish
to close it, gently pull the handle towards you until the upper housing is level.
REMOVE THE GRILL PLATE
Make sure the grill has cooled down before placing it in the open position. Press the grill
plate switch button. The lower baking’s switch button is found on the right side of the base.
