2.4 System Connection

Once all the connections and setting S have been done,the unit is ready for
normal use. Prior to been
carried out.
1. Switch on TV and select AV mode. lf its S-V ideo connect select S-Video mode.
2. Switch
on amplifier if connected, select AC-3 or DVD
mode,
3. Plug-in of
DVD player.
Step 1: Press POWER key, shown on screen:
lf there i s no disc, No Disc Shown on screen:
Step 2: Press Key, the tray
comes out automa tically .
Step 3: Place disc on the tray, press key to close the tray,
the disc type will be shown on the up-left
corner of the screen as well as
shown on VFD screen.

Press UP or DOW N key to select title and chapter. Select direct
time by pressing number in subtitle chapter, th en press play key.
You may press t he numbered buttons to enter the desired playing time.
For example 55:50,stands for 55 minutes and 50 seconds.
In the PBC ON mode, song selecti on can only be done f rom t he main
menu.

The picture may be enlarged by up to 6times to facil it ate you t o
enjoy a particular action or still picture. Press this button 4 times,
the zoom scales will be 2X, 3X, 4X, 1/2,1/3,1/4,ZOOM Off respectively.
When play VCD disc, press L.R to select Mono Left, Mono Right,
Mix-Mono, Stereo.
Press MUTE key on the remote controller to get mute, press it again to
recover it from mute.
Press the key MUSIC.MENU on the remote controller
to display BASS, then press - or +, to adjust the bass.
Press the key MUSIC.MENU on the remote controller
to display TREB, then press - or +, to adjust the treble.
Press the key MUSIC.MENU on the rem ote controller
to display C VOL, then press - or +, to adjust the centre volume.
Press the key MUSIC.MENU on the Remote controller to
display SLV L or SRVL, then press - or +, to adjust

5. SETTING OF THE SYSTEM
OSD Language
Highlight the OSD LANGUAGE option,and press
the arrow buttons to choose the OSD language
you prefer. Press <ENTER> to confirm, and it will
display OSD in that language.
Subtitle Language
Highlight the SUBTITLE option, and press the
arrow keys to choose. Press <ENTER> to confirm.
There are 5 optional languages: English, French,
German, Spanish, Italian.
Audio Language
Highlight the AUDIO option, and press the arrow
keyto choose. Press <ENTER> to confirm. There
are 5 optionals: English, French, German, Spanish
and Italian.
Disc Menu Language
Highlight the DISC MENU option, and press the
arrow buttons to choose. Press <ENTER> to
confirm. There are 5 optional menu language:
English, French, German, Spanish and Italian.

a. Normal/PS (4:3 Pan& Scan): You can fill the
movie to the entire screen of your TV. This
might mean that parts of the picture (the left
and right edges) won't be seen.
b. Normal/LB (4:3 Letter Box): You'll see the
movies in their original aspect ratio (height to
width ratio). You'll see the entire frame of the
movie, but it will take up a smaller portion of
the screen vertically. The movie might appear with black bars at the top and
bottom of the screen.
c. Wide (16:9 Wide Screen): You will see movies in their original aspect ratio. You
will see the entire frame of the movie but it will take up a smaller portion of the
screen vertically. The movie might appear with black bars at the top and bottom
of the screen.

According to the color system of the TV, you can
choose the TV system. There are 3 optional:
NTSC, PAL and AUTO.

1. S-video+CVBS: Choose this setting if your DVD
player is connected a TV with an S-video cable or
composite video cables.
2. P-SCAN+CVBS: Choose this setting if your DVD
player is connected to a progressive scan TV with
HDMI cables.
3. YUV+CVBS: Choose this setting if your DVD
player is connected to a TV with Y,Cb,Cr video cables.

According to the resolution of the TV, there are
4 optional can be choosed: 740*480, 1280*720,
1920*1080 and Auto.

Highlight the Digital output option, and press the
Arrow keys to choose the audio output mode you
prefer. Press <ENTER> to confirm. There are 3
optional audio output modes: ANALOG, RAW
and LPCM
a) ANALOG: From the coaxial output jack and the
optical output jack, no signal is output.
b) RAW: Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a amplifier with
coaxial cable or an optical cable. When playing a discrecorded with Dolby Digital,
DTS and MPEG audio formats, the corresponding digital signals will be output
form the coaxial output jack or optical output jack. This players digital output jacks
are designed for a connection to a Dolby Digital, DTS or MPEG receiver or decoder.
c) LPCM: Choose this setting if your DVD player is connected to a 2-channel digital
stereo amplifier. When playing a disc recorded with Dolby Digital and MPEG audio
formats, audio signals will be modulated into a 2-channel PCM signal, and it will be
output from the coaxial output jack or optical output jack.

Choose HDMI Audio On, audio signal can be
transmited from DVD player to TV by HDMI
cable.
Downmix
a) LT/RT: Choose this setting when you are
connected to a 2 channel analog audio input.
b) STEREO: Choose this setting when the DVD
player is connected to a TV or the RF modulator.
c) 5.1 channel: Choose this setting to listen to
the sound track effects, recorded on a disc
formatted in 5.1 channel surround sound.

mono output mode. There are four modes in this
option: STEREO, L-mono, R-mono, Mix-mono

The password option is initialized locked, and
you cannot set the ratings limit or change the
password. In order for the ratings feature to work,
the password mode must be turned on. If you
want to set the ratings limit, you will need to
entre the default password which is 8888, then
press <ENTER> to confirm. To change the
password, you will be prompted for the old
password, then be prompted for a new. Enter
a 4 digit number (this is your password).
Please remember your PASSWORD, as the
default setting will revert everything but the
password to the factory defaults. The password
defaults setting is 8888.
Password
The rating feature is a rating limit system,
like movie ratings. It works with DVD discs
that have been assigned a rating. This helps
you control the types of DVDs that your
family watches.
The rating defaults setting is at grade 8,
which is no limit for any disc.
