Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian
Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure
and compensation for any other foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled
to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable
quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure. The above applies
subject to the item not being accidently dropped by the user-or being used for
purposes other than the intended use - or being tampered with. GAF Control
(Sales) Pty Ltd guarantees the product for 12 months from date of purchase.
Refunds or replacements at retail store level are under the guidance of the stores
rules/regulations. In the event of requiring assistance, the retailer from whom

NOTE: The rating of this product (as marked on the product identification
plate) is based on specific loading tests. Normal use or the use of other
recommended attachments may draw significantly less power.

•Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not

WARNINGS RELATING TO THE USE OF BATTERIES
•Batteries must be inserted taking care to match the polarities
shown. Make sure that the (+) and (-) terminals are placed in the
right direction.
•Never use batteries that show signs of electrolyte leaks or cracking.
•Never dispose of used batteries in an open fire.
•Keep batteries out of reach of children.
•Never recharge disposable batteries.
•Never short circuit battery terminals.
•Do not try to open the batteries.
•Do not mix up different kind of batteries or new and already used
batteries together.
•Only use batteries of the recommended or equivalent type.
•Remove batteries from the appliance before disposing of it at the
end of its service life.
•When replacing used batteries, please comply with applicable
regulation relating to their disposal.
•Please return them to a suitable collection facility for
environmentally friendly disposal.

OPERATING THE UNIT ON AC POWER
Remove the AC Line cord from the box. Plug one end into the AC output
(240Vac ~ 50Hz, AC only) and the other end into the AC Jack. The batteries
will automatically be overridden.
BATTERY OPERATION
•The unit can also be operated by batteries during power failure.
•Open the battery compartment, and insert 4 x “AA” type alkaline
batteries (not included) into the compartment.
•Flat batteries should be removed from the compartment to avoid
leakage.
•Batteries shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine,
fire or like.
•Replace the old batteries with new ones when the sound becomes
unstable or cannot be heard.
NOTE: Remove the battery if the unit is to be unplugged for a long period
of time, avoiding unnecessary battery drain.
LISTENING TO THE RADIO
1. Turn the ‘VOLUME/OFF’ knob clockwise to turn on the unit.
2. Set the ‘BAND’ selector to either AM or FM.
3. Turn the ‘TUNING’ knob to tune in a radio station.
4. Adjust the ‘VOLUME’ if required to the desired listening level.
TURN OFF THE RADIO
To turn off the radio, turn the ‘ON/OFF VOLUME’ knob until you head a
“click” sound.

TO IMPROVE RECEPTION
1. Pull out the antenna in the top left corner, and adjust its direction
to get the best signal result.
2. Slide the band selector to your favourite band (AM/FM), and rotate
the ‘TUNING’ knob to tune the radio station you like.
3. On ‘FM’ mode: reception in the 88-108MHz is possible.
On ‘AM’ mode: reception in 540-1600KHz is available.
LISTENING WITH HEADPHONES
For private listening, you can use headphones with the unit. Connect the
headphones to the ‘HEADPHONES JACK’ (3.5mm) on the back of the unit.
The sound from the speakers will be turned off automatically.
CAUTION: Set the ‘VOLUME’ to a low level before putting on the
headphones. Gradually adjust the volume with the knob to a comfortable
listening level. Please do not play the volume too loudly for extended
periods of time.
WARNING: Excessive sound pressure from earphones and headphones can
cause hearing loss.
AUX-IN JACK
You can connect your MP3, MP4, tape player or any other audio device
through your unit. Connect one end of the AUX cord (not included) to the
AUX IN JACK, and the other end to the desired audio device. Then turn on
your audio device and adjust your desired volume level.
MAINTENANCE
•Always unplug the unit from the wall outlet first before cleaning.
•Clean the unit, panel and controls with a slightly damp soft cloth.
Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosol cleaners, solvents such as
benzene or strong chemical cleaners, since this could damage the
finish of the unit.
