Introduction
TheQSC AudioModel
QE16/0
is amulti-port Ethernet hub that allowsflexibility andversatility in
audiocontrolLANtopologies.Ithas16RJ-45portsforunshieldedtwistedpair(UTP)network
cabling,aswellasaBNC/AUIportfordirect connection to networksegmentsusingdifferentmedia.
The
QE16/0
hubconstantlymonitorseachportforsignalqualityandwilldisconnect(partition)a
device producing noise or excessive collisions and will then automatically reconnect it when the
offendingconditionclears.

•Global power, collision, partition LEDs and individual port Link/RX or Link/Activity LED to aid

standardfor10BASETUnshieldedTwistedPair(UTP)and10BASE2ThinCoaxial(BNC)or10BASE5

LEDIndicators
The QSC
QE 16/0
Ethernet hub uses front panel LED indicators to display its operating
status: power on, link & activity status, and collision. The LEDs can function as useful
troubleshooting aids.
Troubleshooting

on:
1.)Make surethe AC power cord isproperly
insertedintothehubandtheACoutlet.
2.) Make sure the power switch is on.
Link/Activity (green) Onorflashing Ifthe LED glowsgreen steadily, it indicatesthat the
portdetectsthe10BASETnetworkcarriersignal.If
the LED flashes, it indicates network activity—i.e.,
theportistransmittingorreceivingdata.
Collision (red) Off Ifthe LED flashes,it indicates that2 or more
networknodeshavetriedtoaccessthenetwork
simultaneously.Occasionaloccurrencesarenormal
andwillnotaffectnetworkperformance.IftheLED
flashesrepeatedlyorcontinuously,oneormore
nodesmaybemalfunctioning,ortheremaybeother
devices utilizing the network heavily.
