ON THE WALL & OFF AND RUNNING
INSTALLING QUILLA ON THE CUSTOM WALL-MOUNT
1. Properly choose and prepare the install location for Quilla. Consider access, power, Ethernet access,
ventilation and visibility when choosing your location.
2. Determine the desired height for Quilla. A recommended height is approx. 80” from the floor to the top
of Quilla. The top of the wall mount will sit flush with the top of the device.
3. Disassemble the wall-mount by removing its cover. To remove the cover, gently press the tabs on the
bottom of the unit and lift off the top.
(See Figure 1)
4. Using a tape measure, measure a
horizontal line (29” long) at the 80”
height level. Mark the center of this line and then make a mark (1 3/8” down from the line). Drive an
anchor into the wall in this location for the wall mount center location.

5. Use the base of the wall-mount and install a screw to the center screw hole anchor, so you can level and
mark the other holes.
6. Use the 4’ level to align the base of the wall-mount. Mark all anchor locations on the wall (with a screw)
as identified in the diagram below. There are a total of 9 screw locations including the center anchor
(See Figure 2).
7. Remove the base of the wall mount and use a screwdriver to install all drywall anchors into your
drywall, if needed.
8. Once anchors are installed, install the base of the wall-mount back on the wall using the screws
provided, into anchors.
9. Install the power brick as shown. Wrap the attached cable around guides and plug the DC power plug
into the DC power socket. (See Figure 3)

10. Install Ethernet cable (optional). Use category 5e or category 6 Ethernet cable that is connected to your
network, plug the Ethernet cable into the Ethernet socket as shown in Figure 3. Use cable guides to
secure the cable. Ethernet cable is optional, as Quilla is able to run off Wi-Fi signals.
(Attach the provided Ferrite Core to the Ethernet cable if connecting to the network using Ethernet.)
11. Plug the AC power cord into the power brick’s AC power socket. Use cable guides to secure the cable.
(See Figure 3)
12. Replace the wall mount cover. Ensure the two top hooks are fitted first then bring the cover down and
push to clip into the two bottom tabs. (See Figure 4)
To complete the installation, two wall-spacers need to be installed. The spacers are installed on the
wall, then a self-adhesive velcro is used as an attachment between the wall-spacer and Quilla.
13. Locate the wall spacers and remove the front face cover with a small screwdriver.
(See Figure 5)
14. Attach both the wall mount spacers to the corresponding velcro pieces preinstalled
on the back of Quilla.
15. Align the edges of Quilla with the wall mount edges, lift Quilla slightly above the top
of the wall mount; then slide Quilla down (at a 30 degree angle) allowing the back
gaps to catch into the hooks at the top of the mount; the device will fall into place.
Press the spacers against the wall. This will mark where your anchors need to go.
Remove Quilla.
16. Small divots will now be visible on the wall indicating the center for the two wall-anchors (three
dots/each spacer). Install two wall-anchors in the center of your three divots.

18. Replace the spacer face cover.
19. After, the wall-mount and wall-spacers are installed on the wall, align the edges of Quilla with the wall-
mount edges and rehang Quilla onto the mount. Then press firmly on the bottom sides of the device to
engage the velcro on the back of Quilla against the wall-spacers. (See Figure 7)

INSTALLING QUILLA ON VESA-400 MOUNT
1. Use the VESA-400 mounting instructions provided by the VESA manufacturer.
2. Ensure the wall-anchors will support the weight of Quilla and the VESA mount.
3. Ensure the length of the screws attaching to the back of Quilla do not exceed 0.6” or 15mm, as screws
may puncture the screen.
4. Ensure Quilla is installed near a socket-outlet and that the outlet is easily accessible. Do not run
extension cords between an outlet and Quilla, as this can cause hazards.
5. Once the VESA mount is installed and the hardware is attached, connect Quilla to power.
Power Supply Adapter Plugin
1. Plug the DC power adapter into the power supply inlet. See DC plugin
location on the back of the unit.
2. Secure the cable into guiding channels on the back panel of Quilla.
3. Once all hardware and wires are secure, install Quilla onto VESA mount.
4. It is now safe to plug Quilla into the AC outlet.
WARNING! The Quilla must access the network using Wi-Fi when installed on a VESA 400 mount.
