The"Taalmala"canoperatefora limitedtimeoneight1.5V
drybatteries(size"C").(Areasonablygoodsetofbatteries
wouldlastforaboutonehourand
thirty
minutesata stretch
ata mediumlevelofvolume).Tooperateonbatteries,set
theswitchattherearoftheinstrumenttoBATandproceed
fromstep2.3above.
Cells
canbereplacedbyopeningthebatterycompartment
doorattherearoftheinstrument.

ThePT-24iscapableofbeingprogrammedbytheuserto
playanythekaofone'schoice,bypressinga sequenceof
keys
marked
with
various'bols'.Theprogramming
sequence
issimpleandallowsa maximumofthreenew
thekastobeprogrammed
into
theinstrumentatanygiven
time.Onceprogrammed,theprogrammedthekacanbe
playedbyselectingtheALTkeyandoneof3 keysmarked
GARBA,
SOOL
&
TEVRA.
Dependingonwhichofthese
keys
wasusedatthetimeofprogramming,thenew
programmedthekawouldhavereplacedoneoftheabove
mentionedtaals.Theprogrammedthekawouldbeavailable
only
till
theinstrumentisON.Oncetheinstrumentis
switched
OFF,
theprogrammedthekaswouldbelost.When
theinstrumentisswitchedONagain,theoriginalthekason
thesekeyswouldberestored:
