1. GENERAL INFORMATION
1.1 Genera warnings
Professiona y qua ified personne in accordance with current aws and standards and in ine with
the manufacturer’s instructions must insta the app iance.
With ‘Professiona y qua ified personne ’ is intended a personne with technica know edge in the
fie d of insta ation and maintenance of components for centra heating and domestic hot water
production systems for domestic and industria use.
The app iance must be used so e y for the purpose for which it has been designed and
manufactured: centra heating and domestic hot water production. Any other use is deemed as
improper and as such dangerous. Under no circumstances wi the manufacturer be he d
responsib e for damage or injury to persons or anima s caused by errors in the insta ation and/or
use of the app iance, or through non-comp iance with current oca and nationa standards and/or
the manufacturer’s instructions.
The insta ation, operation and maintenance manua forms an integra and essentia part of the
product and must be kept near the app iance a ways.
This manua must be kept in a safe p ace and made avai ab e for any future reference. If the
app iance is so d or transferred to a different owner, this must fo ow the app iance to be red by the
new owner and/or insta er.
The warnings contained in this chapter have been written for the app iance user, the insta er and
the service engineer.
The user manua must be red carefu y as it provides information on the operation and the
operating imits of the app iance.
This app iance must be used exc usive y in a pressurised centra heating system, not suitab e for
use as a poo heater.
• After the removal of all the packaging, check that the appliance has not been damaged. In case of doubt, do not
attempt to use the product but refer to the supplier. Packing materials (cardboard box, wooden crate, nails,
staples, plastic bags, pol st rene, etc.) must not be left within reach of children in that these items represent a
potential hazard and must be disposed of in a responsible manner.
• Before carr ing out an cleaning or maintenance operations, disconnect the appliance from the mains electricit
suppl b switching off at the main switch and/or an other isolating device.
• Do not obstruct the air intake or flue exhaust grills.
• Do not obstruct the air intake or flue exhaust terminals.
• In the case of a fault and/or malfunction in the appliance, shut down the s stem. Do not interfere with or attempt
an repairs. Call for professionall qualified technical assistance onl .
• An warrant repairs to the appliance must be carried out exclusivel b the manufacturer’s authorised service
centre using original spare parts. Non-compliance with the above requirements ma compromise the safet of
the appliance and invalidate the warrant . In order to guarantee the efficienc of the appliance and its correct
operation, it must be serviced regularl b professionall qualified personnel in line with the manufacturer’s
instructions.
• When the appliance is no longer required for use, an parts that ma constitute potential sources of danger must
be rendered harmless.
• Onl original accessories or optional extras (including electrical parts) must be used with the appliance.
• Should there be a smell of gas present in the room where the appliance is installed, DO NOT attempt to activate
an electric switches, telephones or an other equipment that ma cause sparks. Open doors and windows
immediatel to create a current of air and ventilate the room. Shut-off the main gas suppl valve (at the meter),
or on the c linder in the case of bottled gas, and call an authorised service centre.
• Do not attempt to interfere with the app iance in any way.
