ceiling and used with the Spot Light (Radio Shack Cat. No. 42-3049) or Mini
Flashing Light (Cat. No. 42-3048). When you shine a light on the Mirror Ball and
turn on its built-in motor to rotate it, the Mirror Ball reflects beams of light to create

SELECTING A
MOUNTING LOCATION
Select a location for the Mirror Ball
that is:
• Sturdy enough to withstand the
weight of the motor and the Mir-
ror Ball (try to find a wall stud)
• Near an AC outlet (a 6-foot AC
cord is supplied)
MOUNTING
Note: To keep from getting finger-
prints on the glass, we recommend
that you wear gloves when you hold
the Mirror Ball.
1. Using the motor's mounting
bracket as a template, mark the
locations for the three mounting
screws.
2. Drill three holes 1/8inch in diam-
eter at the marked locations.
3. Using a Phillips screwdriver and
the three supplied wood screws,
mount the motor in the selected
location.
4. Use the supplied “S” hook to
hang the Mirror Ball's ring on the
motor's ring. Make sure the Mir-
ror Ball is attached securely.
5. Use mounting hooks (not sup-
plied) to fasten the AC power
cord to the ceiling or wall
between the mounting location
and the AC outlet. Use an exten-
sion cord if necessary.
Warning: If the AC cord is left
hanging from the mounting loca-
tion, sharp glass edges from the
Mirror Ball might cut the wire's
insulation and cause a shock
hazard.

OPERATION
1. Plug the AC power cord into a
standard AC outlet. The Mirror
Ball rotates at a speed of 1-2
RPM.
2. Follow the instructions in the
Owner's Manual for the Spot
Light or Mini Flashing Light to
turn it on and aim it at the Mirror
Ball. The Mirror Ball spins and
reflects the beams from the light.
To get more colorful beams, you
can use more Spot Lights with
different colored lenses, aimed
at the Mirror Ball from different
angles.
3. To stop the Mirror Ball from
rotating, unplug the AC power
cord.
Note: The Mirror Ball might not
rotate in the same direction next
time you plug it in.
CARE
Your Radio Shack Motorized 8-Inch
Mirror Ball is an example of superior

lowing suggestions will help you care
for your Mirror Ball so you can enjoy

• Handle the Mirror Ball gently
and carefully. Dropping it can

dust and dirt, which can blur the
mirrors.
• When you are not using it, store
it in a safe place to keep the mir-
rors clean.
Modifying or tampering with the mo-
tor’s internal components can cause
a malfunction and might invalidate its

performing as it should, take itto your
local Radio Shack store for assis-
