Radio Shack PRO-100 User manual

Your RadioShack PRO-100 Communications Headset
delivers a wide frequency response for impressive sound
in an extremely lightweight design. It is ideal for use with
CB radios, scanners, and shortwave radios. The adjust-
able headband accommodates any head size or shape
for a comfortable fit.
The frequency response is 20–18,000 Hz. The imped-
ance is 32 ohms ±10%. The diameter of each speaker is
11/2 inches.
FEATURES
High Energy Elements — deliver professional quality
sound in a lightweight package.
Volume Control — lets you set the sound level.
Closed Earcup Design — reduces ambient sound and
provides an acoustically isolated listening experience.
Foam-Filled Earcushions — let you listen in comfort.
OPERATION
1. Turn down the volume on your sound source.
2. Rotate the volume control on the left earpiece clock-
wise to its minimum position.
3. Plug the headset into a 1/8-inch headphone jack.

source that has a 1/4-inch jack, use the supplied 1/8-
inch to 1/4-inch adapter.

Then adjust the volume control on the left earpiece
until you reach a comfortable listening level.
Listening Safely
To protect your hearing, follow these guidelines when you
use this headset.
• Set the volume to the lowest setting before you begin
listening. After you begin listening, adjust the volume
to a comfortable level.
• Do not listen at extremely high volume levels.
Extended high-volume listening can lead to perma-
nent hearing loss.
• Once you set the volume, do not increase it. Over
time, your ears adapt to the volume level, so a vol-
ume level that does not cause discomfort might still
damage your hearing.
Traffic Safety
Do not wear this headset while operating a motor vehicle
or riding a bicycle. This can create a traffic hazard and
could be illegal in some areas.
CARE
To enjoy your RadioShack PRO-100 Communications
Headset for a long time:
• Keep the headset dry. If it gets wet, wipe it dry imme-
diately.
• Use and store the headset only in normal tempera-
ture environments.
• Handle the headset gently and carefully. Don’t drop it.
• Keep the headset away from dust and dirt.
• Wipe the headset with a damp cloth occasionally to
keep it looking new.
Modifying or tampering with the headset’s internal com-
ponents can cause a malfunction and might invalidate its
warranty. If your headset is not performing as it should,
take it to your local RadioShack store for assistance.
