Youneedthefollowingparts(notsupplied)toconnect
yourmodulatortoavideoinputsourceandyourTV:

audiooutputisstereo,useanA/Vcablewith
threephonoconnectorsateachend.Ifyourvideo
source’saudiooutputismono,useanA/Vcable

• One75-ohm-to-300-ohmmatchingtransformer

videosource.Connectoneendofthecabletothemodulator’s
VIDEO(yellow)andL/R AUDIO(white/red)jacks.Connectthe

jacks.
To Mono Video
UseanA/Vcabletoconnectyourmodulatortoamonovideo
source.Connectoneendofthecabletothemodulator’s
VIDEO (yellow)andAUDIO(white)jacks.Connectthecable’s
otherendstoyourvideosource’svideoandaudiojacks.
To S-video
IfyourvideosourcehasanS-Videojack,useanS-Videocable
toconnectthemodulator’sS-VIDEOjacktoyourvideosource’s
S-Videojack.Ifyourvideosourceisconnectedtoboththe

To TV
If your TV is already connected to a VHF input source(cable,
antenna,etc.),disconnecttheVHFinputsourcefromyourTV,
andconnectitscabletothemodulator’sANT INterminal.
Then,usea75-ohmcoaxialcable(notsupplied)toconnect
themodulator’sTO TVterminaltoyourTV’s75-ohmVHF/UHF
terminal.
If your TV is not already connected to a VHF source,connect
a75-ohmcoaxialcabletothemodulator’sTO TVterminalto
yourTV’s75-ohmVHF/UHFterminal.IfyourTVhas300-ohm
VHFscrewterminals,usea75-ohm-to-300-ohmmatching
transformertocompletethisconnection.
Whenconnectionsarecomplete,plugthemodulatorintoa
standardACoutlet.
2Use your Modulator
1. TurnonyourTVandturnittoChannel3or4(theone
notusedforregularbroadcastsinyourarea).
2. SettheCHANNEL 3/4
switchonthemodulator
tothesamechannelas
yourTV.
3. Turnontheconnected
videosource.The
modulator’sgreen
LEDlightswhenitis
receivingasignalfrom
anA/Vsource.
4. TowatchTV,turnoff
theconnectedvideo
source.IfyourTVdoes
TheLEDlightsredwhenyour
modulatorisconnectedtoanAC
outlet.Whenthemodulatorreceives
asignalfromanA/Vsource,thered
LEDturnsgreen.

mono, even if the source’s audio is stereo.

thelike.
Accessories—Donotplacethisproductonanunstablecart,
stand,tripod,bracket,ortable.Theproductmayfall,causing

seriousinjurytoachildoradult,andseriousdamagetothe
product.Useonlywithacart,stand,tripod,bracket,ortable
recommendedbythemanufacturer,orsoldwiththeproduct.
Anymountingoftheproductshouldfollowthemanufacturer’s
instructions,andshoulduseamountingaccessory
recommendedbythemanufacturer.
Ventilation—Slotsandopeningsinthecabinetareprovided
forventilation,toensurereliableoperationoftheproductand
toprotectitfromoverheating.Theopeningsshouldnotbe
blockedbyplacingtheproductonabed,sofa,rug,orother
similarsurface.Thisproductshouldnotbeplacedinabuilt-in
installationsuchasabookcaseorrackunlessproperventilation
isprovidedorthemanufacturer’sinstructionshavebeen
adheredto.
Power Sources—Thisproductshouldbeoperatedonlyfrom
thetypeofpowersourceindicatedonthemarkinglabel.Ifyou
arenotsureofthetypeofpowersupplytoyourhome,consult
yourproductdealerorlocalpowercompany.
Grounding or Polarization—Thisproductmaybe
equippedwithapolarizedalternating-currentlineplug(aplug
havingonebladewiderthantheother).Thisplugwilltinto
thepoweroutletonlyoneway.Thisisasafetyfeature.Ifyou
areunabletoinserttheplugfullyintotheoutlet,tryreversing
theplug.Iftheplugstillfailstot,contactyourelectricianto
replaceyourobsoleteoutlet.Donotdefeatthesafetypurpose
ofthepolarizedplug.
Power-Cord Protection—Power-supplycordsshouldbe
routedsothattheyarenotlikelytobewalkedonorpinchedby
itemsplaceduponoragainstthem,payingparticularattention
tocordsatplugs,conveniencereceptacles,andthepointwhere
theyexitfromtheproduct.
Protective Attachment Plug—Theproductisequipped
withanattachmentplughavingoverloadprotection.Thisisa
safetyfeature.Ifreplacementoftheplugisrequired,besure

theservicetechnicianhasusedareplacementplugspeciedby
themanufacturerthathasthesameoverloadprotectionasthe
originalplug.
Outdoor Antenna Grounding—Ifanoutsideantennaor
cablesystemisconnectedtotheproduct,besuretheantenna
orcablesystemisgroundedsoastoprovidesomeprotection
againstvoltagesurgesandbuilt-upstaticcharges.Article
810oftheNationalElectricalCode,ANSI/NFPA70,provides
informationonpropergroundingofthemastandsupporting
conductors,locationofantenna-dischargeunit,connection
togroundingelectrodes,andrequirementsforthegrounding
electrode.
Lightning —Foraddedprotectionduringalightningstorm,
unplugtheunitfromthewalloutletanddisconnecttheantenna
orcablesystem.Thiswillpreventdamagetotheproductdueto
lightningandpower-linesurges.
Power Lines—Anoutsideantennasystemshouldnotbe
locatedinthevicinityofoverheadpowerlines,electriclightor
powercircuits,orwhereitcanfallintopowerlinesorcircuits.
Wheninstallinganoutsideantennasystem,takecaretokeep
fromtouchingpowerlinesorcircuits.Contactwiththemmight
befatal.
Overloading—Donotoverloadwalloutlets,extensioncords,
orintegralconveniencereceptaclesasthiscanresultinariskof
reorelectricshock.
Object and Liquid Entry—Neverpushobjectsofany
kindthroughproductopeningsastheymaytouchdangerous
voltagepointsorshortpartsthatcouldresultinareorelectric
shock.Neverspillliquidofanykindontheproduct.
Servicing—Donotattempttoservicethisproductyourself
asopeningorremovingcoversmayexposeyoutodangerous
voltageorotherhazards.Referallservicingtoqualiedservice
personnel.
