GROUNDINGINSTRUCTIONS
Thisappliancemustbe grounded.Inthe eventofan electricalshortcircuit,grounding reduces
riskofelectricshock byproviding an escape wirefortheelectriccurrent. Theapplianceis
equipped withacordhavingagrounding wirewithagrounding plug.The plug mustbe plugged
intoan outlet that isproperlyinstalled and grounded.

·Glass jarsand bottles —Regularglass istoo thintobe used inamicrowave.Itcan shatter
and causedamage and injury.
·Paperbags —Theseareafirehazard,exceptforpopcornbagsthataredesigned for
microwaveuse.
·Styrofoamplatesand cups —Thesecan melt and leavean unhealthyresidue on food.
·Plasticstorage and food containers —Containerssuchasmargarinetubscan meltinthe

Note: Shouldyou wishtocheck ifadishissafeformicrowaving,placethe emptydishinthe

Yourmicrowavemakescooking easierthan conventionalcooking,provided you keep these
considerationsinmind:
Stirring
Stirfoodssuchascasserolesand vegetables
whilecookingtodistributeheatevenly.Food
atthe outside ofthe dishabsorbsmore
energyand heatsmorequickly,sostirfrom
the outside tothe center.The ovenwillturn
offwhen you open the doortostiryourfood.
Arrangement
Arrange unevenlyshaped foods,suchas
chicken piecesorchops,withthe thicker,
meatierpartstowardthe outside ofthe
turntablewheretheyreceivemore
microwaveenergy.Topreventovercooking,
placedelicateareas,suchasasparagustips,
towardthe centerofthe turntable.
Shielding
Shieldfoodwithnarrowstripsofaluminum
foiltopreventovercooking.Areasthatneed
shielding include poultry wing-tips,the ends
ofpoultrylegs,and cornersofsquarebaking
dishes.Useonlysmallamountsofaluminum
foil. Largeramountscan damage youroven.
Turning
Turnfoodsovermidwaythrough cooking to
exposeallpartstomicrowaveenergy.Thisis
especiallyimportantwithlarge foodssuchas
roasts.
Standing
Foodscooked inthe microwavebuildup
internal heatand continuetocookforafew
minutesafterheating stops.Letfoodsstand
tocompletecooking,especiallyfoodssuch
ascakesand wholevegetables. Roastsneed
thistimetocompletecookinginthe center
withoutovercookingthe outerareas.All
liquids,suchassoup orhotchocolate,should
be shaken orstirred when cooking is
complete.Letliquidsstand amomentbefore
serving. When heating babyfood,stirwell at
removaland testthe temperaturebefore
serving.
Adding moisture
Microwaveenergyisattracted towater
molecules.Food thatisuneven inmoisture
contentshouldbe covered orallowed to
stand sothatthe heatdispersesevenly.Add
asmallamountof watertodry food tohelpit
cook.

CLEANINGAND CARE
1.When cleaningsurfacesofdoorand
oven that comestogetheron closingthe
door,useonlymild,nonabrasivesoups,
ordetergentsapplied withaspongeor
soft cloth.
2.Turnoffthe oven and removethe power
plug fromthe wallsocketbefore
cleaning.
3.Keeptheinsideoftheoven clean.
When food splattersorspilled liquids
adheretooven walls,wipewithadamp
cloth.Milddetergentmaybeused ifthe
oven getsverydirty.Avoidthe useof
sprayandotherharshcleanersasthey
maystain,streakordull the door
surface.
4.Theoutsidesurfacesshouldbecleaned
withadampcloth.Topreventdamage

the ventilation openings.
5.Wipethe windowon bothsideswitha
dampclothtoremoveanyspillsor

fromaccidentallyturningon.

8.It isoccasionallynecessarytoremove
the glass trayforcleaning.Washthe
trayinwarmsudsywaterorina
dishwasher.
9.Therollerringand oven floorshouldbe
cleaned regularlytoavoidexcessive
noise.Simplywipethe bottomsurface
ofthe oven withmilddetergent. The
rollerringmaybewashed inmildsudsy
waterordishwasher.When removing
the rollerring fromcavityfloorfor
cleaning,besuretoreplaceinthe
properposition.
10.Removeodorsfromyouroven by
combiningacupofwaterwiththe juice
and skinofone lemon inadeepbowl,
microwavefor5minutes.Wipe
thoroughlyand drywithasoft cloth.
11.When itbecomesnecessarytoreplace
