(The warranty period for rental units begins with the first
rental or 45 days from date of shipment to the rental firm,

What we will do:
Provide you with a new, or at our option, a refurbished unit.
The exchange unit is under warranty for the remainder of the
original product's warranty period.
How to make a warranty claim:
Properly pack your unit. Include any cables, etc., which were
originally provided with the product. We recommend using
the original carton and packing materials.
Include in the package evidence of purchase date such asthe
bill of sale. Also print your name and address and a
description of the defect. Send standard UPSor its equivalent
to:

Make sure you insure your shipment in case of lossor
damage. We accept no liability in case of damage or loss.
Pay any charges billed to you by the Exchange Center for
service not covered by the warranty.
A new or refurbished unit will be shipped to you prepaid
freight.
What your warranty does not cover.
Customer instruction. (Your Owner's Manual provides
information regarding operating Instructions and user
¢ontrol;. i:or additionol information, ask your dealer.)
Installation and set-up service adjustments.
Batteries.
Damage from misuseor neglect.
Products which have been modified or incorporated into
other products.
Products purchased or serviced outside the USA.
Acts of God, such as but not limited to lightning damage.
Product Registration:
Please complete and mail the Product registration Card
packed with your unit. It will make it easier to contact you
should it ever be necessary. The return of the card isnot
required for warranty coverage.
How state law relates to this warranty:
This warranty give you specific legal rights, and you may have
other rights which vary from state to state.
If you purchased your product outside the USA:
This warranty does not apply. Contact your dealer for
warranty information.

You can use two methods to power your portable TV:
AA-SIZE BATI'ERI ES (NOT INCLUDED):
1. Lift up the stand and slide battery cover off.
2. Insert four new batteries matching the polarity
symbols (+ and -) shown inside the battery
compartment.
The first battery is installed lower than the others. Use
the ribbon to make it easier to remove the batteries.
3. Replace battery cover.
OPTIONAL AC ADAPTER (NOT INCLUDED):
Your TV can be powered from a standard AC outlet with
an optional AC adapter. Plug the optional AC adapter into
the DC IN 6V jack and then into an AC power outlet. The
internal batteries automatically disconnect. When you're
not using the adapter, unplug it from the outlet first and
then the TV.

_ ote: Battery life is approximately 3 hours. Replace batteries
with new ones when picture becomes dim or sound becomes
distorted.
A Note About Optional AC Power Adapter: Use only
Thomson part # 221443 AC power adapter. Order by calling
1-800-338-0376 between 8 AM and 8 PM EST or write t O Video
Accessories, PO Box 8419, Ronks, PA 17573.

Extend the antenna.
Set the power and band switch to VHF (channels 2-13)
or UHF (channels 14-69). The TV starts scanning and
stops at the first active signal.
Presstuning buttons to change channels. The channel
indicator (red for VHF and green for UHF) aligns with
the selected channel number below the screen.
4, Adjust VOLUME to a desired level.
5. Adjust BRIGHTNESSfor desired picture brightness. The
brightness changes with the screen's viewing angle.
Note: If reception is poor, adjust the length or angle of the
antenna. If inside a metal or concrete building, moving closer to
a window may improve the reception.
For private listening, you can connect optional
headphones to the 3.5 mm EAR jack. This automatically
mutes the built-in speaker.
Set the VOLUME to the lowest setting before you plug in
the headphones. After the headphones are connected,
adjust the volume to a comfortable level.
NOte: Do not wear headphones while operating a vehicle or riding_
bicycle. This can cause a traffic hazard and is illegal in some areas. I

The TV stand gives you the convenience of placing the TV
on a flat surface for easy viewing.
Pull the stand slowly until it locks into place. Do not pull
the stand beyond the lock position. When closing the
stand, snap it back into place.
Clean the TV with a damp cloth occasionally. Do not use
harsh chemicals, cleaning solvents, or strong detergents.
Use only the power sources specified in this manual.
Use only new batteries of the recommended size. Always
remove the batteries if the TV will not be used for several
months as the batteries may leak chemicals that destroy
the TV's circuits.
Handle the TV carefully because dropping it could damage
the circuits or case.
Be extremely careful with the display screen. Avoid
placing the TV in your pocket or purse with hard objects
that could damage the screen.
Avoid places with extreme humidity or dust.
Avoid places with extremely high or low temperatures.
