1. Turn the mit oveq, and remove the battery compartment cover

2. Insert the battedes, matching the batteries to the (+) and f) marks inside

the battery case.

2. Find the three-digit code for your brmd of TV,

VCR. DVD, satellite receiveror cablebox in

the enclosedcode lists.

3. Press

and hold the CODE SEARCH

key until the indicator light tums on.

4. Release

the CODE SEARGH key.

5. Press md release the TV, VCR or

DBS.CABLE key.The indicator light

blinks and then remains lit.

DVD.AUX key. The indicator light continues

to blink until you selectthe conponent you

want the DVD.AUX key to control. To control

a DVD, press the VCR key. To control a TV,

pressthe TV kev To control a satellite receiver

or cablebo4 pressthe DBS.CABLE key.The

indicator light stopsblinking and remains lit.

6. Enter the three-digit code,using the numeric

keypad. After the codeis entered,the

indicator light turns off.

7. Aim the remote at the component and

presstheOFF.ON ke1.

have tried all the codes for your brands, or if your brmd is not listed, try senching

for your code via the Code Search

Entry Method. Toprogram your remote via the

Code SearchEntry Method, follow thesesteps:

Manually turn on the component you

wish to program the remote to operate.

Pressand hold the CODE SEARCH

key until the indicator light turns on.

Releasethe CODE SEARCH key.

Pressand releasethe component key you

wish the remote to control-TV, VCR or

DBS.CABLE key. The indicator light blinks

once and remains lit.

To p.rogramthe DVD'AUX key: Pressthe

DVD'AUX key,followed by the component

key you wish the DVD.AUX key to control.

For DVD, pressthe DVD.AUX key, followed

by the VCR key. For an auxiliary

component press the DVD.AUX key,

followed by the corresponding component

key (fl VCR, DBS.CABLE).

5. Press and release the OFF.ON kev until

the component tums off.

Important You may have to pressthe OFF.ON

key up to 200times.

6- When the component turns off, press the

ENTER key. The indicator light turro off.

The Menu function on your remote is used to make changes on selected settings.

The MENU key operatesin TV,VCR" DVD and DBS Modes. Eachmenu vdies

from brand to brmd.

The TV Menu is used to make changesin the TV settings,such aschanging color,

channelsand timers. The DBS Menu navigates through the Guide screens,to make

changesin the DBS settings,such aschannel lists and passwords. The VCR and

DVD Menu makes changesthrough the Navigation screens,such aslanguages

and subtitles.

While in Menu Mode, thesekeys fmction asfollows:

component key on the remote (TV,VCR,

1. In the Menu Mode of RCA, GE and PROSCAN TVs, pressing the MENU key selects

the highlighted item. The numeric keys nay alsobe used to selectthe menu choice.

2. For SONY conponents, pressing the ENTER key while in Menu Mode returns

to the prevlous menu.

The RCU704has a SLEEP key,which automatically turns off your TV at a duration

you choosefrom 1 to 99 minutes. Tosetthe SleepTimer, follow thesesteps:
