1Overview
1.1Introduction
Reach CL4000PRO Server is the 2nd generation product design concept based on the REX platform and incorporates
a modular interface to directly input virtually any format video signal and record and stream this content. The
CL4000PRO features:
•Foreground management provides users with various live streaming and VOD resources, as well access to the
Reach player software. Users can view content directly from the web interface, however, due to the limitations
of HTML5 and Flash, only 3 encoded sources may be viewed. It is not recommended to download the Reach
Player to view all content being recorded and streamed in a given session.
•Users can view the public live streaming and VOD resources without logging into the CL4000PRO. When a user
logs in to CL400PRO they can not only view public content, but also content that has been permissioned to a
user. The background management provides users with various functions such as configuration, management
and maintenance.
•Users with appropriate permissions can
oCreate and manage meetings.
oCategorize meetings.
oManage and maintain users and user groups.
oConfigure system parameters, and manage warnings & logs.
•The CL4000PRO makes it possible to capture and record any mix of SD, HD, as well as VGA signals in high
resolution and high frame rates.
•Supports synchronized and combined recording, live streaming and VOD playing of video signals, audio signals
as well as PC dynamic screen signals.
•Supports Browser/Server access architecture; supports access and management of device across operating
systems and multiple browsers.

P a g e | 2CL4000PRO User’s Manual Reach/BTX
•Capable of serving live streams and VOD content to as many as 30 concurrent viewers..
•Supports simultaneous recording of high-bitrate and low-bitrate files.
•The recorded file is a standard MP4 file, which can be edited by any nonlinear editing software.

2Installation
2.1 Connect Cables
a) Connect the sources to the input connectors on the CL4000PRO modules. To loop out the
signals for local monitoring or content repurposing, connect a corresponding cable to the
output for that module and terminate it at a display or other terminal equipment.
b) Connect the audio source to the audio input port Line In with an RCA type unbalanced
line level Hi-Z audio source such as an audio mixer, DSP, or other audio equipment. If there
is microphone input, connect a balanced microphone cable to the phoenix connector
labelled Mic In.
c) To control the camera PTZ, connect the camera PTZ to the device serial port.
d) Connect a network cable to the CL4000Pro LAN port, so that the device will be connected
to the network planned by the network administrator. Connection to a 1000BaseT switch
is highly recommended.
e) Connect the power brick to the DC in connector.
2.2 Startup and Shutdown
Before starting up the device, please make sure that the cables are properly connected, and
then turn on the power switch on the rear panel of the device. The power LED of the CL4000PRO
will be constantly ON after the device starts up. The HDD LED will flash constantly until the startup
completes.
Before shutting down the device, please confirm that all recordings are stopped and that the
session parameters have been saved. Then turn off the power switch on the rear panel of the
device, to protecting the hard disk and prevent data loss.

4.2Application Scenarios
A Project Manager wishes to transfer knowledge to his local and remote team concerning new
best practices for the deployment of Insulated Concrete Forms to gain a competitive advantage in
the real estate subdivision markets where they provide goods and services. The conference room
is small and it is inconvenient for her team to converge at a single location. The installed video
conference codec has been problematic in sharing knowledge due to the inability of remote users
to confidently connect to it from their desk.
The videoconference codec has presented problems with archiving meetings and
allowing team members to access VOD content.
All team members in the Project Management as well as the installers require access to

between this foundation type, and legacy foundation construction by accessing on
demand VOD content whenever or wherever they need it.
